I always spend substantial time on Saturday mornings trying to find good satire of capitalists and their system, but I often fail. I've noticed that the right-wing does a much better job using satire to ridicule what they stupidly regard as a liberal government. I've even found myself laughing at some of their material. So with that apologia expressed, I offer this piece as the best I could find this morning in the way of satire.
Whenever my local NPR station has one of its frequent on-air fund-raisers, I am tempted to call in to tell them how Morning Edition is my source for conventional wisdom and pro-regime propaganda.
I could say the same, of course, about NPR’s weekend news programs and All Things Considered. But Morning Edition is special; it starts the day.
