Pepe Escobar and Thierry Meyssan talk about ISIS

We have a rare privilege to listen to Pepe Escobar, the Brazilian geopolitical analyst extraordinaire, interview and discuss issues related to Daʿish, or ISIS, with Thierry Meyssan, a French geopolitical analyst living in Damascus. The interview was broadcast on Al Nasr TV, an Iraqi station. Escobar begins the interview with this introduction:
Thierry, you live in Damascus which is the eye of the hurricane. So break it down as shortly as you can, the relationship between Daʿish, Gulf financing--where does it come from--and the eventual Israeli meddling in all this picture.

With my old ears, I was unable to hear everything in this discussion, but I don't think that Meyssan said much about the Israeli role, except briefly mentioning their support of the Kurds. I did get Meyssan's informed opinion that the term "moderate rebels, or "Free Syrian Army" were public relations terms used by the Empire's media to obscure their creation and sponsorship of the terrorist army of Daʿish.
