The US Treasury's 'Silver Bullet' Falls Short

Crooke sees that the overuse of economic sanction by Empire directors may be accelerating a response in kind from Russia, China, and other nations.

He begins this essay by arguing that, due to the popularity of economic sanctions in US political circles, the US is not in fact withdrawing sanctions on Iran to comply with last year's deal with Iran (JCPOA). He then widens this focus to show that nations which are not under the control of the US Empire (mainly the BRICS) are beginning to fight back against the application of economic warfare by building alternative financial institutions and economic retaliatory weapons.
