The author has clearly written this article with tongue firmly planted in cheek (def.). He is obviously arguing that mainstream media (corporate media) is writing in "newspeak", the deceptive and manipulative language that George Orwell long ago warned us about. (This is clear from another article posted on Saker's website.) Have you noticed that newspeak, a language which is increasingly used by our masters in the capitalist ruling class, is projecting onto their enemy du jour, Russia and Putin, what they practice all the time: hundreds of military bases all over the world, dividing up the world in geographic combatant commands under the control of the Pentagon, and interfering with elections and destabilizing countries all over the world.
Putin's influence is spreading: everywhere he is nibbling away at the foundations of democratic society. He is the dictator of Russia; still evil, still an empire; Russians are genetically driven to co-opt and penetrate and gain favour: it's who they are and what they do. Russian scum! Putin interferes in referendums and elections all over the democratic world.
