Posts that I especially recommend for Monday, December 13, 2021

  • The Prevailing Corona Nonsense Narrative by Dr. Thomas Binder from Global Research. My reaction: I would describe this as a "best post", but I am not a medically trained specialist and have no medical qualifications. Otherwise, this post is very convincing.
  • Are COVID Death Rates WILDLY Inflated? featuring Jimmy Dore using his channel on Rumble (16:20) regarding the difficulty with government statistics about covid. My reaction: This is what I've been concerned with all along. But this doesn't cover the monetary pressures for hospitals to report covid cases. Also, this doesn't cover pressure on medical doctors to report covid cases.
Why have we given governments the power to control the citizenry under the guise of goodwill in “emergency” situations? Are we going to see the same thing in the future with major cyber security attacks on global financial systems?

A different path forward is needed. One where instead of citizens waiting for governments to tell them what to do, citizens engage in creating grass roots movements and become responsible for the state of public perception and dialogue. This can happen when people choose to change the state of conversation, sensemaking, and their overall state of being.

My commentary follows:

Critical thinking is certainly needed by ordinary people now, but we all must first decide to take responsibility for the state of affairs. Our self-serving ruling capitalist classes have taken this responsibility in the past by hiding behind a "democratic" government, but can we allow them to do this with our futures? I think not! The only option is to take control of our government and that means socialism. Are we prepared to change our socioeconomic system? I fear that we are not. Whether the course they are offering on critical thinking can lead to this decision to take responsibility is an open question.

You say you don't have time? This is an artifact of capitalism. Many employees make more costs that capitalists must avoid in their search for profits. But under socialism, you would work only 15 hours a week that would give you time to fix the world's problems. That's right--you will be the government and you, and other ordinary people, would take control of all socioeconomic institutions; and under your control we would have time to attend to our own needs such as health-care, education, entertainment, etc. instead of the capitalist ruling classes' control in order to obtain more profits and control over us and the rest of the world.

You're not qualified? You would have time to take classes to become informed, and you would take over the responsibility of hiring teachers to teach such classes. Everyone who is capable of working would work--and that includes capitalists!
  • 💥MSNBC’s Non-Stop Lying About Julian Assange featuring Jimmy Dore and Glenn Greenwald, a lawyer, using Dore's channel on YouTube (34:41) regarding the ongoing lies by major TV media corporations, fake leftists, etc. to undermine real journalism. This is a best post.

The North American ruling elite and their European and Pacific allies follow the same murderous, despotic unilateral policies they have always done. At home, they apply a woke, quasi-anti-racist, pseudo-feminist, false human rights gloss to pacify domestic liberal or social democrat qualms and progressive dissent. All the while they repress their impoverished lower classes with austerity, and, more recently, undeniably harmful, arbitrary public health restrictions. Overseas, Western elites continue to destroy or destabilize dozens of countries, falsely claiming to promote freedom and democracy, which even their own repression-drunk populations find ever harder to believe.
  • Sunday~Weather by John Allen from his weblog on Medium. (Note: Unless this is your initial visit, you may have to subscribe to a membership of $5/mo. to access this article.)
  • Stages 6 and 7 of Grief featuring the views and analysis of Prof. (retired) Guy McPherson, an independent scientist (via his YouTube channel--10:07), who has fearlessly focused his attention throughout his career on the climate crisis.
