My reaction: Cunningham asks a very profound question referring to "the policies of Washington and its NATO allies: "Is it really lack of awareness or something more cynical?" The answer is obvious to someone who has studied real history and ignores the new, self-serving propaganda: it is pure cynicism that drives the leaders of the new empire. I have doubts that they are conscious of their own lies. But lack of consciousness does not excuse them from their objective to impose another form of domination on the rest of us in their obsessive drive to build another empire in place of the Third Reich--only this time led by English-speaking transnational capitalists.

(Note: McPherson explains why global warming is slowing down the abrupt crash through intolerable climate instability: it is because of the aerosols which partially mask the crash, and previous scientific reports underestimated this. His conclusion: "We are overheating the planet and the escape route of reducing industrial activity just won't work. It'll heat the planet even faster.")
