We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

Posts that I especially recommend for Saturday, July 3, 2021 (I added a post by Fredericks at 11:18 AM CT--first post)

It is surprising this video has not been pulled down by YouTube yet. Dr. Luc Montagnier, a 2008 Nobel Winner, commenting on the COVID vaccine, and spike proteins.

In short, there is a long respectable list of medical professionals and scientists warning people about the dangers of an untested vaccine.

Capitalist censorship is in full swing as all dissenting voices are no longer killed, they're deleted.

Posts that I especially recommend for Friday, July 2, 2021 (final edited version)

  • 💥Rachel Maddow "Is Not News" Says Court Ruling! featuring Jimmy Dore (via his YouTube channel--27:43m) with guest Glenn Greenwald initially using Rachel Madow's show to comical effect. Greenwald eventually and seriously offers insightful comments on the court's defense of Madow as "not news". This is a best post.
Perhaps a multi-polar world is all we could hope for at the end of WWII, but that was denied by the rise of the de-facto US/Anglo/Zionist Empire to replace the Third Reich after the latter was defeated. Ehret's take on this event corresponds to mine as reflected in my 2017 post. Churchill's future hopes with the emergence of the de-facto US/Anglo/Zionist Empire were realized far more than FDR's vision of a multipolar world.

It is also telling that Churchill could not bring himself to accept the Order of the Garter at the end of WW2 since he failed to achieve his primary mission as Britain’s wartime leader. Unbeknownst to many historians even today, Churchill’s primary mission was not the winning of the war, or the crushing of fascism, but rather the salvation of the British Empire which had created a Frankenstein monster that refused to play the second string in the New World Order realizing that Germany’s military power gave Hitler the edge he needed to lead in this dystopian dance.

However only a week after Stalin’s death on March 5, 1953, Churchill’s conscience allowed him to accept the honor. Perhaps the rabid imperialist looked upon the new Cold War age that he had earlier set into motion alongside the Anglo-American Alliance that he put into place that the rabid imperialist could sleep satisfied knowing that he did his job.

As America closes in on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the Feds want the public to believe that unknown terrorist organizations are recruiting your neighbor[s] to become a domestic extremist. But it is not just any neighbor, this time it is far-right "extremists" or White supremacists and Trump supporters who they want to recruit.

For years DHS officials have warned Americans of the dangers that lurk just outside their front doors or worse in the far-flung Middle East where extremists are plotting to bomb us, shoot us, or poison our water systems. The only difference to the terrors that await Americans is that now they are allegedly targeting a person's ideological beliefs.

And the author asks:

What does this mean for Americans?
... the theorists believe that the WEF and their partners are not simply warning the public out of the kindness of the heart. Rather, they believe that the individuals behind the push for public-private partnerships are actually the ones behind the attacks, or simply allowing them to happen in order to take advantage of the inevitable calls for resetting our digital infrastructure. In other words, they believe the recent hacks have either been faked or allowed to take place so governments and their corporate partners can implement their pre-existing agendas. Problem – Reaction – Solution. They believe that exercises and simulations like Cyber Polygon are actually a sign of things to come. These exercises are not simply meant to train cyber security officials and prepare corporations, but instead meant to simulate real world events that are being planned or expected to happen.
  • Why’s Europe Divided on Positive Ties with Russia? by Salman Rafi Sheikh from New Eastern Outlook. My reaction: Europe has been long considered by the de-facto US/Anglo/Zionist Empire as belonging to it, but it is emerging from that status to one that is on the brink of change.
  • The Privatization of Medicare by Dave Lindorff from CounterPunch. (Note: This article is behind an account or subscription wall (which means you will receive a ton of email and/or the sale of your contact information to other vendors). My reaction: This post also signals a privatization of CounterPunch. My commentary follows:
I have for the past year been wondering what the ruling class was up to in their incessant and deceptive Joe Namath ads which promise free services as a carrot to sign-on to private insurance but results in the reality of skyrocketing medical care costs. Only now, when it is too late, we see articles about this new arrangement.

It turns out that I've been stuck with a large bill which I was careful to prevent. You see, I know what Medicare covers and what it does not. But medical care to a large extent has been privatized under the ruling class deceptive promotion of private insurance that covers everything that Medicare doesn't cover. In the past I had such supplemental private insurance, but I have in recent years dispensed with such coverage because I was enjoying good health.

I recently changed doctors having been deceived by the local Mayo Clinic in which I had substantial evidence that an administrator was spying on my communications with my primary care physician. Recently I awoke one morning in April of this year without my balance control. That is, when I stood up I immediately fell over. This was a considerable shock to me after a lifetime in which this balance-control was second nature to me. So, I went to a new primary physician at a new clinic to correct this problem.

Under this new ruling class privatization arrangement for people of retirement age required some retraining of their intake clerks. Clearly the new medical care vendor trained its clerks to add "initial visit" whenever a new patient applied to their service. So, whenever these new patients applied for medical care, the phrase "initial visit" was added into their interview. So, I was fooled by this semantic trick when the intake clerk asked me if it was an initial visit, to which I replied that it was. That phrase was immediately coded as "initial visit" to designate a new category of medical care that could be charged by the new private vendor of medical services. Under the "initial visit" category I was supposed to receive a physical examination and a general workup by the new physician. I actually received only treatment for my new balance problem, but my physician wrote up my visit by including his interpretation of my past laboratory test results at Mayo Clinic, which was previously explained to me by my former physician. And, in addition, I was asked by this physician if I received a pandemic vaccination, to which I replied "no". Thereafter I had to submit to a shaming lecture for not getting vaccinated.

Much later, I received a shocking bill for not only this "initial visit", but for the referral to a physical therapist as well for re-training sessions to correct my sense of balance. I am presently contesting this bill. Wish me luck.

So, don't be fooled by this semantic new category. I'm not sure how you can avoid the added bill for services you didn't receive. And I'm not sure what deceptive practices lie ahead to watch out for under this new privatization arrangement that effectively does an end-run around Medicare.

Anyway, I wanted to make a point that CounterPunch is also capitalizing on this new arrangement by charging you, in one way or another, to have access to an article which explains this new arrangement to bilk seniors. So, effectively CounterPunch is joining the ruling class in this new project of privatization. But, in this instance, I am not deceived. I knew all along that the people of CounterPunch were simply functioning as a self-righteous release for all the pent-up anger that people felt toward the machinations and deceptions of the ruling capitalist class, but nothing more.

Now I want to address the issue of counterarguments. especially the argument that such websites should offer adequate compensation for their staff to explain what is going on in society. I come down on the side of asking for voluntary donations to defray the costs of these writers where the truth about our class-structured society is involved, and not subscriptions.
Unless we can purge from our cells everything within us that resembles Donald Rumsfeld, there is no future for Homo sapiens on this planet. We must evolve beyond everything he stood for, as individuals, as a society, and as a species, and move into a peaceful and collaborative relationship with each other and with our ecosystem.

Because we are unable to "purge from our cells everything within us that resembles Donald Rumsfeld", Mother Nature is going to evict us from our Earth planet.
  • 💥Guy McPherson Interview and conversation pt. 1 featuring Prof. (retired) Guy McPherson, an independent scientist (via Bct Member's YouTube channel--25:53m) in a 2017 interview conducted by Dave Thompson. This is a best post. Note: Thompson emailed me this interview in which he challenged my statement following the posting of the McPherson video (the last post) on June 30 (2021). In this post I remarked:
McPherson doesn't understand that capitalists, our ruling masters who dominate science as well as all other institutions, must obsessively pursue profits, and its concomitant, power, under their system of capitalism. Because our masters are addicted to the twin opiates of profits and power, they don't recognize that a system that requires unlimited growth on a finite planet is a contradiction. This contradiction will inevitably result in the extinction of most species, including ours, on our very unique planet Earth.

Thompson posed a counterargument as follows:

Read his works starting with his book" Walking Away From Empire" and from another book "Going Dark" . To Quote "Going Dark". The dedication is "To all those who oppose the well-behaved, small-minded corporate drones who know we have no future and yet still go to their inane desk jobs, attempting to destroy the remaining shards of the living planet."

Dr. McPherson knows full well that capitalism is the driving force behind the destruction of the biosphere and the near term extinction of all life on earth. Yours Truly, Dave

P.S You can publish my name in your correction if you please. I personally know Dr McPherson and have interviewed him.

An open message to Dave Thompson: I very much appreciate your email, especially the excellent attached video interview you conducted (posted above), and permission to publicly deal with this openly.

I don't have time to read the recommended books or the inclination to do so given the condition of my eyes, but I have followed closely his posts since mid-2016 (a single post in early 2010). I also know friends of his in Oregon, and they have never corrected me on this point. I've never read or heard where he cites capitalism as being the cause of abrupt climate destabilization. McPherson always cites "industrialization" or "civilization" as the cause. (Unless Thompson equates the abstractions of these latter two terms with capitalism, he is wrong--I dealt with the use of abstractions to hide reality in this post.) I don't expect otherwise from McPherson because he is a physical scientist and not a social scientist or Marxist.

I don't know if socialist countries could have avoided this catastrophe, but they certainly would have had a better chance to listen to their scientists. Look at my argument in the first post above in 2016--I stand by that today. But since that time, I have given up the possibility that socialism can save us. That is the reason in late 2019 I finally added "(Not)" to the title of my website.

Postscript: I read an email response on 7/3/2021 from Dave Thompson as follows:

Perhaps something is being lost in semantics? Industrialized civilization and capitalism go hand in hand and McPhearson is well aware of this relationship. I thank you for your work I follow your posts daily.

Posts that I especially recommend for Thursday, July 1, 2021

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, from the Stanford University School of Medicine recently shared that the survival rate for people under 70 years of age is about 99.95 percent. He also said that COVID is less dangerous than the flu for children. This comes based on approximately 50 studies that have been published, and information showing that more children in the U.S. have died from the flu than COVID. Here’s a meta analysis published by the WHO that gives this number. The number comes based on the idea that many more people than we have the capacity to test have most likely been infected.

How dangerous COVID is for healthy individuals has been a controversial discussion throughout this pandemic, with viewpoints differing.

The use of excess deaths can be illuminating because the data would ameliorate many issues with misclassifying Covid deaths. Covid-19 death counts are susceptible to under-or overcounting from misdiagnosis and errors in reporting. Furthermore, excess death data surmounts the reporting obstacle and simply accounts for the total number of deaths from all causes at a given place and time. We can therefore gauge the pandemic’s mortality impact by comparing 2020 excess deaths to a historical average of excess deaths under ‘normal’ conditions.

As an increasing amount of data has become available, better statistical examinations of the excess death data have become possible.

  • The war on reality (a common theme) by Alex Gutentag from The Wall Will Fall. (Note: This weblog is administered by Vanessa Beeley, a British journalist currently living in Syria.)
The transition from industrial capitalism to financial capitalism is now underway as described by Todhunter, with who I have had personal communication. He describes the history of this transition that is rooted in the Thatcher and Reagan administrations. It was impossible during the 1980s to have an audience for any kind of radical dissent. Using the current pandemic and the climate crisis, the new global financial elites openly aspire to own (and control) everything in the advanced capitalist countries.

Now when it is becoming evident that only a small segment of the population (less than .0001) will have any benefit from this new economy, we see their attempts to crush growing widespread opposition. That is precisely why we are seeing increasing attempts to silence these voices in privately-owned social media corporations and the internet, and turn such dissenters into domestic violent extremists (DVE) and target them. I see signs of our ruling masters taking their gloves off and turning to overt fascist methods which we first witnessed in the 1930s in Germany, Italy, and Japan.

This time the billionaire ruling classes in the de-facto capitalist empire (US/Anglo/Zionist Empire) are threatened by the rise of China and Russia and the increasing signs of climate destabilization. As a result, our masters are resorting to fantasies (the Great Reset) to ward of these nightmarish enemies. Because we have gone along with these classes for many decades without any meaningful opposition, I now believe it is too late to save us humans, and most other species, from the devastating effects of climate destabilization that we are now only starting to see.
There have been various estimates of just exactly how many elections the United States has interfered in since the Second World War, the numbers usually falling somewhere between 80 and 100, but that does not take into account the frequent interventions of various kinds that took place largely in Latin America between the Spanish-American War and 1946. One recalls how the most decorated Marine in the history of the Corps Major General Smedley Butler declared that “War is a racket” in 1935. He confessed to having “…helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. ....

My reaction: I don't personally subscribe to the notion that Biden is senile. Currently, I think he only occasionally has lapses in thought processes. But this report is not about a lapse in thought process, but a deliberate attempt to reinforce a propaganda theme that Russia is responsible for any wrongdoing in the world which is an attempt to project onto Russia what the US ruling class has been doing all along.

Make no mistake about it: The “fake news” campaign is not about protecting the public from lies; rather it is about establishing a state-sanctioned news network, which has been a central pillar for the stability of every totalitarian regime in history. Despotic leaders can only remain in power by hiding the truth of what they are doing from the people they govern. Conversely, there can be no meaningful democracy if there is only one source of centrally-managed information.
All commanding positions are firmly in the hands of lunatics, who are determined to turn a once great and exemplary civilisation into an asylum.

As George Orwell has taught us, language manipulation is at the frontline (yes, I have just broken one of the cardinal rules of his “Politics and the English Language,” but not his final injunction to “break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous”) of politicised mind-bending.

My reaction follows:

The ongoing mind-binding is not only applicable for the present, but the ruling class of the de-facto US/Anglo/Zionist Empire has employed "historians" to rewrite history so that it corresponds with the capitalist classes' values and perspectives. One example: The entire history of the 1930s, and young people's understanding of it, has been re-created--see this and this.
  • The War on Reality by C.J. Hopkins from his weblog Consent Factory, Inc. (Note: This American satirist is living under severe pandemic restrictions in Berlin.) My reaction: Although Hopkins appears to be deceptively befuddled by all the extreme attempts by our masters in the capitalist ruling classes to change what is reality, he expresses some insightful observations about this phenomenon. For example:

The War on Reality is not an attempt to replace reality with a fake reality. Or it is that, but that is only one part of it. Its real goal is to render reality arbitrary, to strip it of its epistemological authority, to turn it into a “floating signifier,” a word that has no objective referent, which, of course, technically, it already is. You cannot take a picture of reality. It is a concept. It is not a physical object that exists somewhere in time and space.
  • Science Update: Continued IPCC Conservatism and Lies by Prof. (retired) Guy McPherson, an independent scientist (via his YouTube channel--23:09m), who has fearlessly focused his attention and career on the climate crisis. My reaction: McPherson doesn't understand that capitalists, our ruling masters who dominate science as well as all other institutions, must obsessively pursue profits, and its concomitant, power, under their system of capitalism. Because our masters are addicted to the twin opiates of profits and power, they don't recognize that a system that requires unlimited growth on a finite planet is a contradiction. This contradiction will inevitably result in the extinction of most species, including ours, on our very unique planet Earth.

Posts that I especially recommend for Tuesday, June 29, 2021 (Shortened aggragated post due to a medical appointment.)

  • Pseudopandemic by Iain Davis from his weblog In This Together. My reaction: The only criticism I have of this article is his argumentative use of "communitarian principles" as in the following paragraph:
The new pseudopandemic biosecurity apparatus is designed to control our behaviour as we are forced through a global transformation. Those behind the pseudopandemic intend to change the International Monetary and Financial System (IMFS) and establish global governance in the shape of technocracy. Technocracy is a neofeudal, totalitarian system based upon communitarian principles.

Davis doesn't define what the "communitarian principles" are. Perhaps he does in his book by the same title. Communitarianism has only relatively recently emerged as a philosophy and it is still ill-defined. I think its significance is only limited to its propaganda value exploited by the billionaire capitalist transnational class to sell to ordinary people what amounts to their last desperate project, the Great Reset, to rule the world.
Working in independent media is not what it used to be. During the beginning of the pandemic we’ve been severely punished by third party Facebook fact-checkers for having discussions about the possible lab-origins of COVID-19.
Johnstone writes what I've been arguing for a number of years:

Western mass media outlets are propaganda. They are owned and controlled by wealthy people in coordination with the secretive government agencies tasked with preserving the world order upon which the media-owning plutocrats have built their kingdoms, and their purpose is to manipulate the way the mainstream public thinks, acts and votes into alignment with the agendas of the ruling class. [My emphasis]

And, she concludes her article by writing:

We are being lied to. Constantly, and in more ways than we realize. By omission, by distortion, by half-truths and by outright deception. Our minds are being actively messed with by powerful people with limitless resources to ensure their continued domination of the planet at any cost. Our very perception of reality is being assaulted on myriad fronts. Until humanity finds a way to wake itself up from its propaganda-induced coma, the abuses of the powerful will continue.

Further details of the recanted testimony are provided by Craig Murray.
Forty-four years ago, acclaimed journalist Carl Bernstein exposed how the CIA had planted more than 400 operatives into newsrooms across America, where they posed as journalists but were actually laundering national security state talking points. Today, there are increasing signs that the so-called “deep state” is attempting to do the same thing to social media.
India is the clear check on China’s power, being another massive country conveniently sharing a border with China. Furthermore, India shares proximity with a number of other countries with strategic interests such as Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and many impoverished South Asian countries. A strong and assertive India could help bring peace and prosperity to the region.

Of course, I strongly disagree with the last sentence.
  • Iran Has Achieved its “Empowerment”, so What Will the West Choose? by Elijah J. Magnier from Internationalist 360°. My reaction: The highly developed "West", or the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire, will choose the only option to preserve its dominance: to continue its use of various types of threats to undermine Iranian power with diminishing results.

  • Stephen Kinzer on the demise of Western journalism. Independent journalist Eva Bartlett interviews Stephen Kinzer in a 38:57m YouTube video via her YouTube channel. (Note: Bartlett has admired Kinzer as an independent journalist over the course of his long career.) My reaction: One can easily conclude that media corporations no longer employ journalists, or if they do, journalists soon learn to serve power if their going to have any kind of a career.)
  • EXPOSED: Journalist's Killers Trained By U.S. featuring Jimmy Dore argues in his unique comical-satirical style why the USA is the number one terrorist nation in the world--from his YouTube channel (07:22m). My reaction: If you like this post, listen to Dore's next post below.
  • Biden Wants You To Snitch On Family & Friends featuring Jimmy Dore tries to make you laugh at the Biden administration in his YouTube channel (12:57m). My reaction: I guess it's better to laugh than to cry at the new direction Biden administration and the ruling class are taking us: targeting dissenting Americans and labeling them as domestic violent extremists (DVE). Dore drives the point home to us docile Americans that "whatever we do to people overseas, whatever horrible things we do to them, we are going to do to ourselves".
  • US Coalition is sustaining terrorism in Syria with “humanitarian aid” by Vanessa Beeley from her weblog, The Wall Will Fall. My reaction: This article, and similar articles, will be ignored by nearly all ordinary Americans, but it's a shame because they are now being targeted by the same ruling class which will use the same, or similar methods, against them. Ordinary Americans are increasingly seen as an enemy of the billionaire capitalist ruling class. (See Dore's post above.)
  • The American West overwhelmed by extreme heat by Susan Hall from BBC. My reaction: I called an activist who lives near Astoria, Oregon figuring the he had enjoyed much cooler temperatures. But I was mistaken. His location suffered under 100 degrees or higher in the last week! He reported that "yesterday it reached 112 deg F in our back yard". He also reported that most neighbors in the area did not have air conditioning because of a normally cooler climate.

  • The Flying Pangolin by Andreas Canetti from The Unz Review. Posted on this website by Brad Fredricks and reviewed by him as follows:
The Flying Pangolin hypothesis circles around the idea that covid was/ is a bioweapon released by the Trump administration. Citing the phylogenetic (evolutionary) history of covid, the report highlights the known variants equal likelihood of having been born out of the United States, and China.

A plausible series of events, what stood out most to me was the ideas around the shutdown of Fort Detrick in July of 2019, which coincided with a respiratory illness outbreak at the Greenspring retirement home a short distance away, and just before the mystery vaping lung sickness that presents just like covid.

While that story was laid to rest with the CDC claiming Rhino Virus, the Flying Pangolin begs the reader to ask questions as it weaves together events, surfacing the conclusion that COVID was a bioweapon used for economic opportunity.
