• 💥Humanity Does Not Need Bill Gates by Rob Larson & Nathan J. Robinson from Current Affairs. This is a best post. My commentary follows: 

This is a comprehensive and lengthy article on one citizen's efforts to become rich and powerful (influential) under the capitalist system. He is now, arguably in control of the UN's World Health Organization as their top funder. This tells the fascinating story of how to become rich in capitalist USA and become a part of the Empire's ruling class. Here are a few excerpts from the lengthy article:

 

Gates’ ethic was never a collaborative, social one in which a community worked together to improve a collective asset. It was not the mindset of the scientist seeking knowledge. Instead it was antisocial and competitive—the mindset of the capitalist. 

 

But, you say, he deserves accolades, at least a pass, with what he has done in his philanthropy work. The authors write:

 

Well, it’s worth observing that the Foundation operates with what is effectively a large public subsidy. Tim Schwab of the Nation—whose name will recur, since he has produced some [of] the best critical journalism on Gates and the Foundation—says that money is exempt from tax because it belongs to a charity, and has to be seen as “money that otherwise would have gone to the US Treasury to help build bridges, do medical research, or close the funding gap at the IRS (which has resulted in fewer audits of billionaires).” As law professor Ray Madoff said to Schwab: “when they get significant tax benefits, it’s also our money.” 

 

The authors sum up their article with these words:

 

... he is part of a small class of elites who are able to bypass democracy, and does embody many aspects of contemporary society that need to change. The decision of individual billionaires to be useful is better than pure self-regard, but ultimately billionaires should not exist in the first place. Bill Gates is richer than 140 different countries. This is too much concentrated wealth and power and it makes a farce of democracy. The question of how the huge resources of the modern world are used to meet our broad social needs should be decided on democratically, not by the whim of a rich person.

Let Gates jet off into the sunset.

As a result of these experiences, he views journalism as practiced by media corporations as serving "intelligence" services and their employers in the Deep State, the directorate of the ruling capitalist class. He even comments how the Deep State uses "woke" ideology as a weapon. This is a best post. (Note: It is apparent that alternative platforms to YouTube have not thoroughly mastered YouTube technology. The interview starts at about 18:06m and lasts till 125:06m, thus the entire interview lasts about one hour and seven minutes. But, it is well worth listening to the interview!)

My reaction: This article points to an amoral CIA and its fake use of identity politics ("woke"--def.) to manipulate ordinary Americans to strengthen support for the US capitalist ruling class.

However I believe Surin's analysis is correct, and Brexit's impact might not be limited to Irish politics. I don't like his framing of what I consider a subversion of the Democratic Party as left-right on the political spectrum. Terms like left and right refer to different classes under a class structure society. In the current era we see mostly capitalist structured societies. 

 

The right-wing capitalist agencies of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire have used subversion of political parties as they have successfully used to subvert entire movements and nations. All they need to do is link benefits or money to the change of orientation to reflect capitalist interests and values. This is the secret of their success. 

 

Remember that most people are motivated by benefits and money they receive from a ruling class. This is the Thatcher principle that that defines a weakness of humans: "...there is no such thing as society. There are individual men and women, and there are families." This ignores the role of different benefits accrues to various social-economic classes under any class-structured society. A capitalist ruling class always, and necessarily, must obscure the role of classes in order to exploit other classes.

 

Capitalist ruling classes have often used this control over jobs and careers in a primary way to co-op people into activities that they would otherwise not engage in. This is especially true of highly educated people (upper-middle-class) necessary to maintain and protect all the capitalist machinery necessary for the system to enhance the wealth and power of the ruling class. This practice has led to the corruption of many highly trained professional and managerial people throughout every institution in the Empire and beyond.

WWII was really fought by the British and their American allies to preserve the capitalist system and what was left of the British Empire, but they temporarily needed the Soviet Union to accomplish this. However, the history of this period has been re-written by propaganda hacks hired by the subversive cabal lodged in the State Department and Wall Street and their fake history has been subsequently taught in US schools, media, and Hollywood films. Most Americans and many others have no idea of the real history of this period. This project was intentionally undertaken after WWII to prepare Americans and others for the Cold War against the Soviet Union and their bureaucratically controlled socialist-type of economy, and to build a capitalist empire of their own in place of the Nazi's Third Reich. Her history dovetails nicely with my historical posts regarding WWII (see this and this).

Since that time, we have seen lockdowns, an ongoing government-backed fear campaign, fundamental rights being stripped away, dissent censored, inflated COVID-19 death numbers and the use of a flawed PCR test to label perfectly healthy individuals as COVID-19 ‘cases’ in order to fit the narrative of a ‘second wave’. 

But, just for a moment, consider an alternative scenario… 

The government is extremely worried about a substance that could be contributing to a spiraling public health crisis that has been decades in the making. It has been detected in food and in urine. The government has therefore decided to carry out mass urine testing. It has found millions of ‘cases’. ....

But the government does nothing. It does not just do nothing but actively facilitates the marketing of this substance and collude with its manufacturers.  [Sorry for the inconsistent formatting.]

And the name of this ‘stuff’? Glyphosate, the world’s most widely used herbicide. The main culprit – Monsanto’s Roundup. But it is not just glyphosate. It is the cocktail of agricultural chemicals that have been in use for decades.

• The crisis triggered by the pandemic and the economic policy of the European Union by Daniel Albarracín from CADTM (Committee for the Abolition of Illegitimate Debt).

The Covid-19 pandemic has overwhelmed our species due to its impact on public health, but even more because of the depth of the economic depression it has unleashed, causing a social and employment disaster which plunges us into uncertainty.

The European Deep State follows the lead of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire, of which they are an integral part. The author provides an illustration of an informal theme frequently used by the directors of the Empire first identified by journalist Vanessa Beeley that was going in Syria: problem, reaction, and solution. Currently they have initiated the problem (as yet unproven, but likely) of the covid-19 pandemic which adversely impacts public health and the economies of nations of the world, then their media corporations hype the threat which caused widespread fear, and finally, they offer solutions: highly profitable (for them) vaccines and the rest of the Great Reset package: digital money and authoritarian decisions (more censorship and surveillance) by major tech corporations. All of these programs are designed to enhance the profits and power of the transnational capitalist ruling classes in Europe, and offer the transnational capitalist class's solution to the climate crisis by depopulating "useless eaters" (people who don't contribute to the power and profits of the Empire and their corporations).

The design of the European Union, despite the propaganda and its founding myths, is not conceived to protect its citizens in general, let alone its working classes. Its cornerstones are the defence of the freedom of movement of capital and goods and, when and as appropriate, the mobility of people within its borders, to achieve more profitability and competitiveness for its companies. The aspects of cohesion it may contain do not counteracting [sic] this priority.

I have wondered how billionaire Pierre Omidyar's financial backing would affect the Intercept's website. I think it was inevitable that Omidyar's identification with capitalism would influence how the Intercept handled certain issues. Now finally the facts come out that the management have been editing Greenwald's views on major events. 

I noticed that Naomi Klein joined the attack on Greenwald by arguing that he was not censored, but "edited"--as if there was a difference between editing one's views and censorship. This is another example of how people of the upper-middle-class, along with many of the middle-class, identify with the ruling class when "push comes to shove". Posing often as critics of the capitalist system, but when things get really critical, they reveal their true loyalties. If many years of indoctrination while attending universities failed to corrupt them, they soon succumbed to the many benefits from their collaboration with the capitalist ruling class whose overwhelming power and wealth could not exist without such people.

The industry is fighting back against these valid criticism and their desperation is laughable.

The U.S. Department of Justice is being played like a fiddle at a tractor meet. • Boston Marathon Bombing Death Sentence Vacated by Federal Court of Appeals by Paul Craig Roberts from his weblog. First a quote from the article, then my commentary follows:

Nevertheless, the federal appeals court ruling opens a wedge by admitting that something was wrong, and Dzhokhar’s punishment has to be reconsidered in a new trial. If there were attorneys and bar associations that served justice rather than career and money, they could use the opening provided by the First Circuit to blow up the hoax conviction of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev together with the hoax false flag Boston Marathon Bombing. This, I think, is the message from the US Appeals Court of the First Circuit. The Appeals Court opens the opportunity, but if no one cares, the Appeals Court is not going to take the hit for declaring an innocent person innocent.

A country whose lawyers no longer will fight for justice, but only for money, is a lost and destroyed country.

Roberts criticizes lawyers for succumbing to their socialization in a thoroughly capitalist country. Lawyers are human, and they see that taking on the powerful US ruling class is an exercise in futility, worse yet, it may be suicidal, that is, without a public that is conscious of a class-structured society, capitalism, a ruling class that essentially owns the country, etc. For those of you who don't know your history simply because you were never taught it, Marxist concepts have been expunged during the McCarthy period. (Bruce Lerro explained it very well.) The capitalist ruling class has completely taken control of every institution and is dictating the narratives that shape people's consciousness.

• Meet BlackRock, the New Great Vampire Squid by Ellen Brown from The Unz Review. (My reaction: I believe this is a very important article on this private investment entity for, and by, the rich. I believe it is a very important component of what Brown refers to as an "almost a shadow government", or what I and others are now referring to as an existing "Deep State" that lies behind the facade of our "democratic" government.

• U.S. Supreme Court Reaffirms U.S. Police State by Eric Zuesse from A bird's eye view of the Vineyard. My brief commentary:

Zuesse, a social-democratic indoctrinated historian, shows his alertness by recognizing this as a singular (def. #3) event by the Supreme Court, one of the fundamental branches of US government. Because of this, cops (and they know it) like Derek Chauvin have the Deep State's permission to kill citizens regardless of the circumstances. (See how the fascist faction of the ruling class after WWII purged all institutions of people who held any leftist views.)

But instead of sourcing this as rooted in the early US capitalist class whose "Founding Fathers" established their government of the USA, Zuesse implies that indecent people have been appointed in recent years to the Supreme Court. The latter has, starting in 1983 (of course cops killed people before then, but the people didn't have the courage, or were so foolish, to attempt to take legal actions against the police), ruled that killing people in the line of duty was okay, and the June 15th ruling confirms that. (Did you hear that from media corporations?)   Zuesse writes:

This isn’t a failure ONLY by the U.S. Supreme Court. It is instead an expression of the American system as it now exists, and which failure renders the U.S. Constitution itself almost meaningless, especially as regards the rights of the people and the obligations of federal officials at all levels in the government. There is no accountability; there is only blame. And, as in any authoritarian system, all blame goes downward, and all praise goes upward. That’s the reality. The U.S. Constitution is by now just a string of words. America’s Founders are dead, gone, and no longer really even an influence. That’s the reality. Pretending otherwise won’t fix anything. Drastic changes are needed. And the American public has proven itself not up to the challenge, still refuses to face the reality. This is system-failure. And the public refuses to face it.

And, he goes on to write that only a Constitutional Amendment can changes things. He's right, and Chauvin and other cops will keep on killing and protecting the ruling class.

This is huge. And I think it is the beginning of the end for the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. European politicos are logically adamant about securing cheaper energy from Russia to fuel its profit-making industries, and they don't mind smacking the Empire (see this and this) to secure this energy. US sanctions against Europe will only increase the independence of Europe from the core Empire which includes Britain. I also think that Eric Zuesse is correct when he argues that "UK’s Tory Victory Likely to Bind U.S. & UK against Europe & Asia". 

However I can't go along with his elaborate argument that racism which is in the history of the Britain Empire accounts for this. Zuesse is a social-democrat and must find a way to justify this turn of events--see his remarks related to his statement "That’s not what capitalism was supposed to be". Racism was very prevalent around the turn of the century till late 1930s. But it has been diminishing in the post-war era as a useful divide and conquer weapon of the Empire's capitalist ruling classes (against workers) as color minorities have increased in population (customers) throughout the Empire. Anti-immigrant sentiment is now used in place of racism or as a substitute for racism.

So, what comes next? Either the Empire will execute an all-out attack against Russia, China, and Iran or the Earth's habitat will no longer support human life, or both. We ordinary people are "screwed" one way or another.

How Capital Heats the Planet: Introducing Fordulat Journal’s Latest Issue on “Climate Change and Capitalism”

This article reports on the efforts of Hungarians to target capitalism as being the cause for the increasingly obvious phenomenon of global warming.

As temperatures rose close to 50°C in North India and water supplies were about to cease, and as a tremendous heat wave descended upon Europe, a sizeable crowd gathered on 18 June in the community centre/pub Gólya operated by a leftist cooperative in the middle of Budapest, Hungary. The occasion was the publication of the new issue of the social theory journal Fordulat(“Turn”) on Climate Change and Capitalism.

The journal was established in 1985 and has since been run by the College for Advanced Studies in Social Theory, a hub of Marxist and left-leaning students of social sciences that regularly publishes thematic issues on topics such as Social Reproduction or Digital Capitalism. Each issue, produced in Hungarian, collects translations, book reviews and original papers on the topic in question.

Extinction Rebellion: Not the Struggle we Need, Pt. 1

Germany vs. Iran – Has Germany Sold Out to the Devil?

I'm wondering if Koenig and others are right about the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire being in retreat. 

Instead of jumping off the sinking ship of Washington and its faithful entourage of the willing, as rats would do, and as the vast majority of the German people would prefer, let alone German and European business, Madame Merkel and apparently all her circles, including Berlin’s Parliament, follow the US flagrant lie propaganda. Why? – Well, this is the deal: There are many ways to “buy” top politicians, with threats or with money or by outright inflicting fear through ‘proxy-assassinations’.

Once Germany is on board – the rest of Europe will follow suit.

They, in spite of their belligerent foreign policies, seem to be losing everywhere. Just when the Empire declared victory over the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989, and they subsequently went on a rampage of "color revolutions" and invasions. They seemed to rule supreme. But now their actions have the appearance of a desperate attempt to maintain dominance over the world. One thing appears more certain: Iran, Venezuela, Russia, China, Iran, Syria and their allies now appear determined to push back against this domination. And Europeans and Turkey seem on the edge of defecting from the Empire and its army NATO. If the latter happens, the old cold warriors in the Deep State will have to decide to risk everything with a nuclear war or abandon their dreams of a New World Order. 

It's not just a "conspiracy theory" to these people in the Empire's Deep State. For this dream they have the USA and a number of other countries mired in debts in the hope that one day they, like all imperialist-fascists, could rule supreme and make the rest of the world pay for these debts. Up to now, under the alliance with Saudi Arabia, Empire has simply printed dollars and used Petrodollars to force other countries to pay for their oil and gas in order to prop up the US dollar.
