The only thing I object to in this post is Romanoff's statements that imply that "Jews" are responsible for media propaganda that comprises a lie attached to a truth. He violates his own thesis that media propaganda is a lie attached to a truth. He seems to equate Zionists with Jews, but clearly not all Jews are Zionists. 

 

Jews were first identified with leftist Jews after the Russian Revolution by fascists in Western capitalist circles, most notably by pro-capitalist Nazis but also including major capitalists like Henry Ford. Clearly Jews, like any other ethnic group, have beliefs across the political spectrum from right (fascist-capitalists) to left (communist-socialists). Otherwise, his arguments are correct: capitalist propagandists mix truth with falsities in order to defend and advance their class interests.

This is a best post and a best post of the year (so far). "Oliver Boyd-Barrett, Professor Emeritus at Bowling Green State’s School of Media and Communication and an expert in collusion between government and media, told MintPress, adding:

Elite institutions in the past and doubtless still today have been major playgrounds for intelligence services. The history of the modern nation-state generally, not just the USA, seems to suggest that national unity — and therefore elite safety — is regarded by elites as achievable only through careful management and often suppression or diversion of dissent. Engdahl argues that the "infrastructure bill" is mostly propaganda to fool the American public (once again), but will actually promote the transnational capitalist Empire's virtuous sounding phrase "Green Agenda". The latter is, in turn, promoted to hide "Agenda 21" to seem more palatable to the brainwashed American public. Here is what the editor of Technocracy says about Agenda 21:

 

From its inception in 1992 at the United Nation’s Earth Summit, 50,000 delegates, heads of state, diplomats and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) hailed Agenda 21 as the “comprehensive blueprint for the reorganization of human society.” The 350-page, 40 chapter, Agenda 21 document was quite detailed and explicit in its purpose and goals. They warned us that the reorganization would be dictated through all-encompassing policies affecting every aspect of our lives, using environmental protection simply as the excuse to pull at our emotions and get us to voluntarily surrender our liberties.

 

But what this editor doesn't understand is that the capitalist ruling class's motive is to try to salvage the capitalist system, which has brought capitalists so much wealth and power, in their recognition that a finite planet cannot accept a system that results in unending growth. Or, to put it differently, this plan is a desperate attempt to save capitalism in a limit-bound finite planet. The editor compounds this misunderstanding with his well-indoctrinated ignorance about socialism.

Steppling, who presently lives in Norway, is an American playwright, author, etc. who writes like somebody who has been extensively educated. And, it takes such a person (with a lot of time) to fully understand his writing. A few quotes from his article reveals much:

One problem is this idea that Kafka (but substitute any major novelist) is tracing out the shaping of the modern subject — through capitalism (or mastery over nature, etc) but then leaving capitalism as a universal. As if God created Capitalism on day 8. One cannot write criticism without being critical, of all things. Of oneself. If not, the class system is absolved, class struggle and political repression. They become a form of Nature.

 

And he concludes his article with this insightful statement:

Culture is an indicator for the mental and physical health of a society. The trend toward fascism is sickness. The fascist state is the apotheosis of sickness; physical and moral. The ruling class has no respect for anyone outside their small circle.

(Note: You will need to know what "ghosts" (def. #3) mean as used as a transitive verb.) My reaction: Alford doesn't elaborate on his implication of "something more fundamental is taking place than normal biases and differences of opinion". Let me explain what the "something" is: it's blatant censorship.

• Was Folk Music a Commie Plot? by Mat Callahan from Monthly Review.

From the beginning of the twentieth century until 1929, purveyors of record players, radios, sheet music, and musical instruments had made large fortunes and proved useful in forging a culture with which people in the United States could identify. In many ways, the music industry was a nation-building force, which the country’s rulers needed to legitimize and propagate their claims. Now, after almost total collapse during the depression, the industry reestablished itself with new instruments, new sounds, and, above all, a new public attuned to bright lights and the big city.
 

In this context, the revival of folk music—that is, music derived from rural southern sources, unamplified, and, to a large extent, comprised of old songs of anonymous origin—was more than just another fad. Folk music encapsulated longings for an idyllic past, for a time before crass commercialism turned music into a commodity, and for relationships between musicians and audiences that were egalitarian and holistic. Folk music continues to have an appeal for these reasons today. 

 

My reaction: This post provides a real history of a cultural movement that was a threat to the ruling class which decided to launch an empire combining their military dominance with what was left of the British Empire. They smeared this folk music movement as Russian-Communist inspired. These folk musicians were hounded and persecuted by the FBI in an effort to destroy it. This cultural phenomenon flourished in the post-WWII years when the fascist coup began with the use of the atomic bomb in Japan and continued with the McCarthy attacks on anyone who dared to voice opinions different from what the ruling class coup-leaders allowed. But they could not destroy it until the conclusion of the Vietnam War when this folk music movement and their influence also ended. After that, youth devoted themselves to "turning-on and dropping-out" to the Beetles tunes and rock-and-roll music. Now we see the same ruling class, which owns nearly everything and able to censor at will, able to pull-off successfully 9/11, the Iraq invasion, and the current pandemic with its lockdowns, shutting small businesses, and vaccines which hugely profits the pharmaceutical corporations with the latter immune from prosecution when their vaccines harm people. Worst of all, while imposing punitive sanctions on the rest of the world, USA is losing in the race to develop better products than the China. The sub-headline says it all: "America Makes Aircraft Carriers, China Makes Money". While China seeks to become the dominant economy, USA seeks to threaten the world with its specialization in producing more devastating weapons. 

 

I wish that China develops only products that people all over the world need, not what capitalist corporations seduce people into believing what they need in order to obtain greater profits. The Chinese Communist Party sees that the USA and its Empire is hell-bent on ruling the world for the benefit of corporations, so they must pursue the path that they are on. But can they while pursuing their path avoid creating a capitalist class that takes over control of China and replace the Communist Party? That is the question that vexes me. The ruling class, the controllers of our mainstream culture, have devised a "cancel culture" to convince most Americans to not listen to people who question the details related to the pandemic. The interviewer is not afraid to listen to Cristián who has been a target to not listen to. Cristián patiently explains the sources of his doubts about the coverage of mainstream media. If you are someone who has listened to people like Cristián or have done your own research and have concluded that the "authorities" have no scientific basis for justifying their onerous restrictions on your freedom, then you can very well ignore this article.

My reaction: If you want to see an example of "woke" propaganda using identity politics, view this as a prime example from the US's Deep State and its prime subversive agency, the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). I don't know if it is over-the-top as propaganda because they've received a lot of flack or ridicule from some minor news shows, Fox's Tucker Carlson, Lee Camp, and of course Jimmy Dore. Even Newsweek magazine has expressed doubts about it. (Here is an exposé of the real CIA that Oliver Stone has done.) However, the Deep State doesn't use ineffectual propaganda. They have likely tested this on American audiences and determined that much of the American public was susceptible to its message. It must be emphasized for our gullible fellow-Americans that the CIA is engaging in such subversive activities today as illustrated in a recent report by Bernard, a German blogger. This CIA recruitment ad is further evidence--if you need some--that the ruling capitalist class today considers the general American public as enemies to be manipulated.

This is a comprehensive and lengthy article on one citizen's efforts to become rich and powerful (influential) under the capitalist system. He is now, arguably in control of the UN's World Health Organization as their top funder. This tells the fascinating story of how to become rich in capitalist USA and become a part of the Empire's ruling class. Here are a few excerpts from the lengthy article:

 

Gates’ ethic was never a collaborative, social one in which a community worked together to improve a collective asset. It was not the mindset of the scientist seeking knowledge. Instead it was antisocial and competitive—the mindset of the capitalist. 

 

But, you say, he deserves accolades, at least a pass, with what he has done in his philanthropy work. The authors write:

 

Well, it’s worth observing that the Foundation operates with what is effectively a large public subsidy. Tim Schwab of the Nation—whose name will recur, since he has produced some [of] the best critical journalism on Gates and the Foundation—says that money is exempt from tax because it belongs to a charity, and has to be seen as “money that otherwise would have gone to the US Treasury to help build bridges, do medical research, or close the funding gap at the IRS (which has resulted in fewer audits of billionaires).” As law professor Ray Madoff said to Schwab: “when they get significant tax benefits, it’s also our money.” 

 

The authors sum up their article with these words:

 

... he is part of a small class of elites who are able to bypass democracy, and does embody many aspects of contemporary society that need to change. The decision of individual billionaires to be useful is better than pure self-regard, but ultimately billionaires should not exist in the first place. Bill Gates is richer than 140 different countries. This is too much concentrated wealth and power and it makes a farce of democracy. The question of how the huge resources of the modern world are used to meet our broad social needs should be decided on democratically, not by the whim of a rich person.

Let Gates jet off into the sunset.

At first, having done some research on "Henele" who is a naturopathic physician, I decided not to post this interview on my website; but after reading the entire transcript of the interview, I felt that "Henele" was making a sincere effort to investigate the pandemic which others of my posts weren't asking the appropriate questions, were ignoring discrepancies, and having a too narrow of focus. I personally was frustrated last summer after learning from a very sociable person that she knew of no one who was afflicted with Covid-19 in our town of 12,000, but she qualified her position by saying that she knew of hospital statistics in a nearby large city that many people have come down with Covid-19 illness. Then I kept noticing reports of doctors being pressured by health authorities to declare the coronavirus reason for someone dying, and hospitals being offered money incentives to diagnose deaths due to Covid-19 illnesses. 

 

I had in an early career with a state Department of Rehabilitation directly experienced the gross inflation of numbers of "rehabilitations" to justify higher budgets and was pressured to "play along with the game". After a while and learning that this was the same situation in many states, it disturbed me so much that I ended up quitting an entire career that I had trained for.

 

My suspicion is that the ruling capitalist class, for various reasons, intentionally brought about this pandemic. They first created Covid-19 illness and somehow spread it in China, their number one enemy. The concentration of ownership in private enterprise and the concentration of the medical professions (no longer can doctors afford to set up a private practice) under chains of authority (bureaucracy) that physicians can be easily controlled. 

• Corporate News Outlets Again "Confirm" the Same False Story, While Many Refuse to Correct it by Glenn Greenwald from his weblog on Substack. (Note: Greenwald introduces his article with the caption "Journalists with major outlets know they spread a false, retracted story about the FBI and Giuliani but refuse to remove it because their real job is spreading disinformation.")

Then they, like their ancestors, can rely on the use of outright violence that stems from their overwhelming control over military and police. Have noticed that government spending on the military has gone up substantially every year?

The Reuters piece about Xi's speech at Boao is framed with a 'western' mindset and colored by 'western' hegemonic ideology. It leaves out the essence of the speech then adds bits that make the reader assume that the high level international event is a solely Chinese one, thereby disturbing its context.

Back in the good old days, when things were more innocent and simple, the psychopathic Central Intelligence Agency had to covertly infiltrate the news media to manipulate the information Americans were consuming about their nation and the world. Nowadays, there is no meaningful separation between the news media and the CIA at all.

 

They not only have taken over media corporations, but they and other agents of the ruling capitalist class have set up fake left media organizations and websites (Spectre is a recent prime example) posing as left-wing organizations critical of US interests but really serving as issue gatekeepers to the ruling class. Amy Goodman and her weblog "Democracy Now!" is a prime example. Goodman does not allow anyone on her show that is critical of the government's narrative on 9/11 or the major assassinations (John or Robert Kennedy or ML King). As I've reported in 2015 Goodman and her show along with others has been generously funded by "philanthropic" organizations. Wikipedia is another example (See this, this, this, this, and this.) Also, The Intercept, owned by billionaire Pierre Omidyar, is another similar project. But probably worst of all, they've revised history books, history as portrayed in films, etc. to reflect their self-serving propaganda.

My reaction: The hawks are working overtime to stave off defeat everywhere that threatens their US/Anglo/Zionist Empire--and they are threatened everywhere. Remember "America is back!" Because we as families enjoyed some of the stolen wealth because of residing in an empire, we citizens of the Empire are destined to go down to defeat with them.

The ruling capitalist class has used the social identity trick for many years to elect first Barack Obama and then in their attempt to elect Hillary Clinton. Now they have expanded their scope of operations to other social identity groups and smear anyone who challenges them (in addition to anyone who questions their pandemic policies). They do this in order to divide us into hating each other, to distract us from forming other ideas that might be influenced by class politics, and to divert our attention away from real issues of inequality under a capitalist system. 

 

I think they expanded their psychology operation to extend to other identity groups after they failed to elect Hillary Clinton to the presidency. But they saw it as useful because it greatly influenced the upper-middle-class of college-educated professionals which is their core constituency. They drew on their highly trained advertising and public relations experts to study how to "sell" ruling class policies to the rest of the American society. I think Eric London was right when he wrote the following:

 

Identity politics has become a key mechanism through which the next 9 percent situated below the top 1 percent advances its grievances within the political establishment, fighting for “space” in the universities, trade unions, political parties, state apparatus, and corporate media. This layer, which forms a principal social base for the Democratic Party, is generally pro-war and supportive of the right-wing policies that have produced a soaring stock market. 

 

Comics like Jimmy Dore exposed their feminist trick, and radical film reviewers like Michael Walsh did likewise in his review of Hollywood film. Satirists like CJ Hopkins cited in 2018 the advantages that this project of social identity had for our masters in the ruling class. He argued that its appeal extended to other groups and all classes of society. But our masters didn't quit--they had finally found the magic key to the manipulation of the general population. 

 

Over the years the public opinion shapers improved on his project by using it against major dissidents to control and limit their influence on the general population. They discovered last year the benefits of declaring a pandemic: it enabled them to add censorship to their project by using "fact- checkers" to prohibit the use of privately owned social platforms by disobedient dissidents in order to limit their influence. Now they have turned their new weapon on the likes of Glenn Greenwald and Katie Herzog whose writings challenged their newfound weapon. This could not be tolerated. The two in this post, besides commiserating with each other, explain the victimization as a phenomenon of recent converts to prior forbidden social identities as the source of the attacks on them. However, unlike Walsh and Hopkins, the two do not explicitly link this recent persecution to a ruling class that doesn't like their brand of independent journalism.

My reaction: For a long time I have suspected Geraldi to be an agent of one of the Empire's many secret services, and now I am sure. You see, they have heavily infiltrated many news agencies located in the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire in order to shape public opinion according to the orders of the Deep State. For the past several years Geraldi has posed as a supporter of Palestinian rights and in opposition to Israeli policies to the extent that one could label him with an anti-Semitic bias. However, now that he is firmly established in various publications and has collected an audience of mostly left-wingers, his bosses in the Deep State ordered him to obscure the CIA, the foremost US secret service, and gaslight the Deep State, the hidden, real government of the USA. In this article he poo-poos the concept of a Deep State, reverses the role they play in relation to their secret services, and he conflates the term "Deep State" with "establishment". Contrary to his assertion, the concept of "deep state" was not coined by a Turkish author, but by Peter Dale Scott. You see, for more than 50 years, I have observed and read about the subversive actions of the CIA, the hidden government represented by the Deep State, and I've developed an advanced "nose" for detecting such fake opinion-shapers. In this case, the stench is overwhelming.

In this post he takes a report from a Western news agency and shows by reading line by line how it is scripting reports from other "color revolutions", whose activists are funded via Western NGOs, to hide what is really going on--starting a revolution in Myanmar.
