We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

  • New NORAD Warfare Strategies and Canada’s Role in the Great Game Revisited by Matthew Ehret from Strategic Culture Foundation. My reaction: Although I don't agree with his main thesis that the British ruling class has taken the initiative and was the main actor behind the construction of what became the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire (it was a transnational capitalist project), this paragraph got my attention:
Anyone who has read Cynthia Chung’s Dr. Strangelove’s Spoonbenders will quickly realize why using AI to pick up algorithms that would normally be missed by human analysts, and generate hair-trigger decisions to counter threats from Eurasia creates a mountain of trouble for humanity, as glitches and mis-readings of Russian/Chinese intentions can easily escalate unstoppably into a nuclear retaliation by deductive/inductive machine thinking.
  •  Interview 1618 – New World Next Week with James Evan Pilato featuring James Corbett and Pilato reporting and sarcastically commenting on the news. Posted on The Corbett Report in a 22:08m video with links to relevant documents. The topics they discuss: The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election [from Time Magazine]; Germany Hired Koch Institute And Other Scientists To Justify Unconstitutional Lockdowns; and Nevada Bill Would Allow Tech Companies to Create Governments.
  • The Fire Next Time by Rebecca Gordon from Tom Dispatch. (Note: You will need to scroll down to the article following Tom Engelhardt's introduction. I am posting this article only to criticize its weaknesses.) My commentary follows:
Although well-meaning, this is a post that exemplifies the blindness that has infected American "progressives" and (political) liberals (in the contemporary sense--def#5) since WWII. The tremendous war effort and reactionary historians succeeded to erase the memory of radicalism that appeared in the 1930s. Gordon also exemplifies a person who has been thoroughly brainwashed by the secret cabal that has taken over not only American education but every other institution in the USA. This aggressive capitalist ruling class now rules over an Empire built on the ashes of the war when the US first reigned supreme in its military and economy.
She is the perfect product of an "education" that forgot the rising tide of the appeal that truly radical parties had on ordinary Americans. Gone is the memory of general strikes that hit San Francisco, Minneapolis, and many other cities. Gone are the memories of this radical appeal when Soviet citizens enjoyed rising standards of living and no unemployment. Gone, too, is the memory of FDR's reply to the charge that he was promoting socialism. Gone are Upton Sinclair's and John Steinbeck's descriptions of life during the Great Depression. Gone are the reports of US capitalists' approval of fascist developments in Germany and Italy. So much has been erased from history that is taught in American schools; and what was not erased, has been revised by historians that serve the ruling class.
Gordon (and by inference, Tom Dispatch and CounterPunch who re-posted this article) supports the "correct political line" of the day by condemning Trump's faction of the capitalist ruling class, but not capitalism which has led the nation and world towards either, in the short-run, nuclear war, or, in the long-run, climate destabilization and extinction of nearly all life on our Earth.

But, no worries, because our masters have a plan to avert climate destabilization. It's called the Great Reset. But carefully disguised in the plan is population reduction, and that reduction is ridding our working class of low-level workers, including small businessmen, who do not contribute to the wealth accumulation of today's corporations and many of their billionaire owners.

  • The Disarticulation of Pandemic War Propaganda by Raul Diego from Mint Press News. In this post Diego presents a mountain of evidence that a propaganda project is being imposed on the US and (likely) European populations that China is responsible for most of the onerous restrictions imposed on populations worldwide. The sub-headline says what his prodigious research has uncovered: "An investigative analysis takes apart a hackneyed piece of propaganda authored by an international alt-right clique with links to the Pentagon." Read the post for the detailed and supporting evidence.
In an era where artificial intelligence seems to be rapidly developing by the day, should society begin to question to reliability of the fairly novel technology? We hear from co-host Ben Swann and cybersecurity expert Morgan Wright on the potential shortfalls of the computer intelligence and the perils that could accompany complete reliance.
  • The Headless Chicken and the Bear by "The Saker" (Andrei Raevsky) from "The Saker Blog". I regard Raevsky, who now lives in the USA, as the foremost expert on Russian politics writing in English today. Thus, this statement near the end of the article caught my eye:
For these reasons I would call the probability of an actual military clash between US/NATO and/or Russia/China as “likely in 2021”. As for the future of NS2, I always assumed that EU politicians can count their Euros and realize that the EU needs that project way more than Russia. Frankly, I am not so sure now: counting on the mental abilities of a headless chicken is probably not a good idea! Neither is counting on the courage of the type of politicians whom Boris Johnson once called “supine invertebrate protoplasmic jellies“.

You will need to know what his use of "3B+PU" means. I found what it means in another article he has written--"3 Balts plus Poland and the Ukraine". ("NS2" in the paragraph above means Nord Stream 2, the natural gas pipeline nearing completion which is posing a problem for European political leaders not wanting to offend the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire who have been dead-set (def.) against it.

  • Wish You Were Here by John Steppling from his weblog. (Note: Steppling is an American playwright who currently lives in Norway, but has traveled extensively throughout the world. Not only has he traveled, but he has lived in numerous countries. In this post, he muses about the significance of travel, identifies its roots in colonialism, and generally how travel serves, and has served, the ruling classes from a historical and cultural perspective.)

  • The (New Normal) War on Domestic Terror by CJ Hopkins from his satirical weblog Consent Factory, Inc. My reaction: No doubt the NY Times triggered this response by calling for a "Reality Czar". I think Hopkins could be put out of the satirical business by reading/watching mainstream media. They increasingly write/show their own self-targeting satire.
  • Joe Biden and the Revenge of the Behaviorists (Why Statistical Thinking Can Get You Killed) by Matthew Ehret from FRN (Fort Russ News). My reaction: This post reveals how scientists can, and often do, serve the capitalist ruling class, who are already corrupted by wealth and power, by manipulating data to support ruling class policies. Such scientists are rewarded with comfortable careers for the benefit of themselves and their families. The necessity of preserving their privileged life-styles is often too alluring for scientists, especially when they already have sociopathic tendencies.
  • Canadian Government Delays Mandatory Traveler Quarantine featuring an interview with John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, which appears to be a non-profit center that is independent of the government, conducted by James Corbett, a Canadian, from The Corbett Report. (Note: Canada is very much a part of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire being a former member of the British Empire. Many of Carpay's comments apply to Americans. Of course, we are both citizens of the same imperialist Empire.)
The Canadian government announced it was going to subject Canadian residents to mandatory quarantine, at their own expense, after returning from international travel, regardless of their negative COVID status. After public backlash and the threat of legal action, the government is now delaying those plans, but some are alleging that the government has already arrested Canadians arriving in the country by air and transported them to a secret hotel location. Joining us to discuss this developing story and what Canadians can do about it is John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms.

Perhaps I was prepared for this article after some related thoughts that infiltrated my consciousness as I was gradually awakening this morning. In any case, this short article contains some fundamental gems of truth that powerfully connects with me, and it has stimulated my thinking with further questions. However, I don't think that this essay is merely about elections. This insight applies to all of the delusions that they impose on us to preserve their power.
To extend the metaphor of this Alzheimer's facility even more, I ask this pregnant question: What if the staff operating that facility are also filled with delusions of power and grandeur? What if their system of capitalism has so concentrated wealth and power in their hands that they see themselves as super-humans, as a species apart from ordinary humans? Then their actions make more sense--at least, to me.

But this is a dangerous thought. Imagine that our masters in the ruling class have in their deluded thinking reached a conclusion that in order to save themselves they must get rid of us untermenschen? They might in this belief decide that we ordinary humans are "useless eaters" and expendable, or worse yet like "communists" or anti-capitalists--class enemies, and kill us all in order to save themselves from the climate crisis, which they have caused, and they know is coming sooner or later. Perhaps the Great Reset is one such delusion.
Given the history so far of the rich planners behind the coronavirus pandemic and their statements regarding the Great Reset, I think that a cyber-crime event on some scale is being crafted by at least the people involved in the Great Reset (which consist of the transnational ruling classes behind the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire). They are motivated to create this risky gamble by the following reasons: the basic conflict between capitalism and the stability of the climate, the potential possibilities created by privately-owned high tech corporations in the advances of artificial intelligence, the future of capitalist enterprises using automated technology that obviates the need for most workers, and the difficulties of capitalist financial institutions and the rich ruling classes to maintain their current existence in the face of so many debts.

CounterPunch runs Urie's articles occasionally to demonstrate their radicalness, but this is all pretense. Usually they post articles that support the ruling capitalist class with emphasis on criticisms of the government. However, the legitimacy of capitalist classes is increasingly being called into question and doubts are rising. The people at CounterPunch don't want to be left behind. Worse yet, nowadays pretense is omnipresent in our capitalist culture.
Because the rising capitalist in the 18th century had a sufficient answer to the existential quandaries of humans, and the rule of a small group of aristocracy, which based their rule on inheritance, whose ancestors had conquered lands and enjoyed papal support for their rule, became no longer viable. Capitalists were able to attain state power based on individual "ownership" of economic property. This class took power away from feudal authorities and soon learned that "ownership" of economic property brought other rewards such as political influence. Under this class's system of capitalism, economic property became a commodity to be purchased in some market; and today this class has, through the consolidation of property into a few hands, taken control of many nations.
Starting in the late 20th century, capitalist classes used feudal inheritance laws to consolidate vast economic properties. They soon saw opportunities in other nations to acquire property which gave them more influence within their native countries and beyond. They no longer felt bound in nation-states in order to pursue their goals of ever increasing consolidation of property. Thus, arose a transnational class of capitalists with an ideology of neoliberalism. ("neo" of course means new, and "liberal" refers to the classic definition of capitalist ideology. They, as a ruling class, have imposed this term because it sounds much nicer than transnational capitalism.) Wherever possible, this new class has removed national barriers from restrictions that nations have imposed on the exchange of commodities.

It was soon to become apparent that the capitalist belief that you could simply buy economic property in some market and accumulate ever increasing profits and power was mistaken. It could, and did, lead to many other social problems like gross inequality, crime, wars, etc. Soon people learned that the source of individual wealth was strongly influenced by class that you were born into which gave advantages such as educational opportunities, opportunities provided by family wealth, political and economic social connections, etc. The new Protestant Christian sects of the Reformation can no longer convince most people to support capitalist rule.

However by this time, ruling capitalist classes gained so much social and political power that they could limit such recognition and impose the values and norms of capitalism. This is when pretense and capitalist propaganda really set into motion. In the 21st century this trend was followed by increasing amounts of censorship and propaganda that validated capitalism and capitalist rule. This is where we are today: capitalist class overwhelming control of nations, powerless citizens, omnipresent censorship, surveillance of communications, and ruling class propaganda that is designed to hide truthful reporting of events, and the use of various sophisticated means of manipulation of thoughts of sub-classes. And, the frequent collapses of capitalist economies is contributing to this feeling of illegitimacy.  In short, the philosophical foundations of capitalism are increasingly being seen as illegitimate. What is much worse, the dominant system of capitalism is in terminal conflict with the forces of nature which will produce dramatic climatic crises, and will likely end with the extinction of humans and most other species that exist today.
  • You Never Know by David Perez from Off-Guardian, and independent weblog based in Britain.
  • Is the Current Climate Catastrophe Irreversible? by Vladimir Danilov from New Eastern Outlook. My reaction: The future looks to me far worse than the author's. • Atlantic Council Pens Anonymously Authored Expose Calling for Regime Change in China by Alan Macleod from Mint Press News. My reaction: This group is represented by unelected members sponsored and promoted by the international capitalist class that has created the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. This document contains the real intentions of this transnational ruling class that is in control of the Empire, and all the government agencies of the Empire will carry out this plan. You probably thought that official legislative bodies whose members consist of "democratically" elected members actually made both foreign and domestic policies. Sorry to disillusion you. It is a primary function of media corporations, but will be supported by all institutions, to convince you of the latter.
It is hard to discern what events were crucial in the fulfillment of the empire builders in 1941 as they launched their project to what became the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire, the "New World Order" of today. But one such event noted by many people interested in true history, and Prof. Curtin and I are among them, is the assassination of President John Kennedy. I remember very well the details of the event, and that verified details pointed to a coup d'état by what many scholars began naming as a Deep State, the real capitalist rulers of their growing empire. Although I don't recall Curtin's use of the concept of the Deep State, he was clearly disturbed by this event because it clashed with all the conventional political ideas with which he had been indoctrinated.
One important agent of this Deep State was the long-time director of the highly secretive Deep State, the CIA, was Allan Dulles. Pres. Kennedy was in the tradition of Franklin Roosevelt. Kennedy was no anti-capitalist as was Roosevelt, but he, like Roosevelt, believed in social justice among and within nations. The fact that capitalism was antithetical to social justice escaped both leaders, and Kennedy, and maybe even Roosevelt was (many suspect this) assassinated for this error in judgment.
Professor (of Sociology) Curtin is one such scholar (shortly to be dismissed from his employment), and he has closely followed the events and the coverup by government authorities, media, and all institutions since it happened in 1963. Thus, Curtin can be named as an expert on this historic event, and the author of this new book added clarity to his understanding.
This is just more anti-Chinese propaganda (disinformation) that highly secret agencies proliferate from the media corporations and the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire that they serve. This propaganda, like all the other efforts such as the Covid-19 pandemic, Russia, censoring real independent bloggers, etc. are designed to control the minds of the American populace.
The first step is to turn off your TV (for entertainment only) and get the real news from thoroughly independent bloggers. But you say, which are "thoroughly independent"?  That is the critical challenge of our times! Most of us are trying to merely survive and don't have time to devote to any challenge. This is unlike the fabulously rich who can spend very little of their money to hire desperate folks like us to go online and spread disinformation.

  • This Is Why They Attack Him - Putin Explains Why We Need New Economic Policies by Bernhard (a German independent blogger) from his weblog Moon of Alabama. (My reaction: The title refers to the theme in this report, and, in addition, you can learn what you are missing by reading this article. You will also learn what corporations like NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, NPR, CNN, etc. fail to inform you. They want you to be ignorant of what goes on in the world, and fill you with propaganda that serves billionaires so that you will end up being compliant serfs. If this article interests you, you might also add to your information about the real world by reading this.
  • Taking on Telecom’s “5G” by David Rosen from CounterPunch. My reaction: Of course, taking on the Telecom's "5G" is like taking on the capitalist system. This issue is about the very core of capitalism to make profits and thereby create influence in the sacred halls of Congress.
  • ‘Cancel the Rents’: People Across the US Mobilize Calling for Housing Relief from People's Dispatch. My reaction: This is another way that the ruling class can impose the divide and conquer strategy on the American people. Landlords have substantial mortgages and bills to pay for upkeep of their properties. With ordinary Americans looking out for their own interest and their family's interests, we can expect more turmoil in the days ahead.
  • Are UN climate talks leading to a global dictatorship? by by Simon Butler from Climate & Capitalism. My reaction: Butler's central criticism of the book is: "Climate Leviathan warns that a worldwide imperial state is on the agenda, but provides no credible arguments or evidence." But, maybe that's obvious, and therefore no need to supply evidence.

  • Myanmar Crisis Explained... by Brian Berletic from his weblog Land Destroyer Report. (Note: Myanmar is only an example of how the USA works to subvert unfriendly governments and install "friendly" governments that will cooperate with their Empire's capitalist interests.)
Driver tends, as is commonly done, to shame us into acting in a more moral fashion. Later on in his argument he cites numerous studies, that I have been exposed to because I was a student of sociology in college, that illustrated how immoral acts are committed by the average human because he/she wanted the approval of authorities. Then he caps his argument off with an experiment done on individuals who merely wanted to gain the approval of the group. In both cases, the individuals succumbed to authority figures or a social group.
These experiments are often cited by authoritarians who want to prove how weak humans are, and thus provide evidence to support their belief in authoritarianism: the belief that certain individuals are endowed with superior wisdom in contrast to the herd of humans which consist of dumb animals. The fact that these superior individuals all belong to one dominant class of people is carefully hidden from their brainwashing task in order to prove their bias of class leadership. In reality Driver is not trying to morally shame us into more ethical behavior, he is attempting to justify the moral position that a few individuals are superior and thus should be followed. Note that in the group experiment where all of the "subjects" were in on the experiment that the latter conformed to the authority's wishes. They, too, were indoctrinated to obey the existing authorities. However, this was carefully omitted from the report.
Disobeying authorities usually brings swift punishment for any who wish to defy authority. Driver knows this and all supporters of class rule know this. Thus, such propagandists--Driver is one such individual--know that most humans from birth are taught to conform to the expectations of their class of people. But "class" is carefully hidden from the consciousness of ordinary humans. (To point to class as explaining anything is like farting in a social setting--it's taboo.) On the other hand, what is drilled into the minds of ordinary humans is the belief of the desirability of promoting the welfare of the family. That is precisely why a thoroughly brainwashed Margaret Thatcher revealed her own belief that "there is no such thing as society, there is only individuals and their families."
As Jerome Roos wrote in 2013 shortly after her death :
In the global class war of the 21st century, Thatcher’s blunt upper-class sneers have been replaced with ... Reagan’s cowboy attitude to CIA-sponsored coups and US invasions in Latin America has long since made way for Obama’s friendly smiles and silent drone strikes. In the process, the dehumanizing logic of global capitalism and neoliberal ideology is obscured with a gentle layer of good-intent. This is capitalism with a human face; a blend of market fundamentalism specifically tailored to making you believe it is in your best interest to obey.
He continues on to conclude:
... it remains crucially important to make a distinction here: it was not Thatcher who systematically erased our dignity and destroyed our society. It was the capitalist system she sought to defend.
To promote this fake meme of obedience is to avoid the subject of disobedience to class authorities which usually brings swift punishment to individuals and even their families. It is a consciousness that one belongs to a class that rescues one from the unconscious blind obedience to mostly brainwashed authority figures that support capitalist class rule.
  • Whitney Webb Interview – Starbucks COVID Connection, GameStop Suspicions & WEF Cyber Pandemic Simulations from The Last American Vagabond. This discussion between Webb and Cristián lasts nearly 2 hours based on Webb's research which she summarizes. Because of the corporations and individuals involved and the "weird" way their involvement is introduced in mainstream media, they both suspect that a public relations campaign is going on to cover the increasing role of major corporations in obtaining data about the general public. Also, they suspect this is only beginning steps to integrate the present situation in the USA into their plans for the Great Reset.
  • Citizen for Free Speech featuring an interview conducted by James Corbett, of The Corbett Report, with Patrick Wood, founder of Citizens for Free Speech, concerning his worries about restrictions on people's communications. (Note: Corbett brings the subject back into his anarchist perspective by pointing to the facade of "government" as the culprit rather than the people who control the government--the capitalist ruling class.)

  • Why the US Will Continue to Meddle in Thailand... by Brian Berletic from his weblog Land Destroyer Report. (Note: Berletic explains why a different administration will make no difference in US interference in other nations political affairs. He goes on to explain that corporation funded "think tanks" or corporate policy committees fund this interference to influence other nation's policies toward neoliberal policies, or policies that open their countries to make it easier for international corporations to exploit the cheap labor and resources that these nations possess.) My reaction: Although he explains most bills that are introduced to Congress originate in the corporate-funded "think tanks", Berletic doesn't address the ongoing propaganda and disruptive efforts by Deep State agencies like the CIA, NSA, etc. to sponsor and train political movements recently seen in Hong Kong, and now in Russia with riots that back Navalny using outrageous propaganda as Bartlett, an independent journalist, explains in this video.
  • Biden Attacks Farms – Comprehensive War on Global Food Supply – Engineered Famine by Christian from his weblog Ice Age Farmer. My reaction: I cannot agree or disagree with many of the things he says in this 27:39m video, and that is because I don't know farm problems. He is an independent reporter of farmers' concerns about the food supply, and as such I am posting this. I do agree with him about his negative comments in relation to bio-engineering of food and Monsanto's engineered seeds. But on other topics such as cutting back on meat in our diets and his cynical views of ruling class's concern about the climate crisis, I cannot agree with him. In relation to the last topic, I think that the ruling class is trying hard to not let the real climate crisis interfere with their preoccupation with wealth accumulation. Regarding his general view of the Biden administration, I agree that the administration's policies are putting small farmers out of business and promoting Big Ag as would be expected from a capitalist ruling class.
An academic critical media literacy conference warning of the dangers of media censorship has, ironically, been censored by YouTube. The Critical Media Literacy Conference of the Americas 2020 took place without incident online over two days in October and featured a number of esteemed speakers and panels discussing issues concerning modern media studies.
Weeks later, however, the entire video record of the conference — estimated at around 24 hours of material — disappeared from YouTube.

  • Don’t be Fooled that Corporations’ Motives are Moral by Leonard C. Goodman from CounterPunch. (Note: Although at the end of the article, CounterPunch states that "This article was produced by Economy for All, a project of the Independent Media Institute.", I could not find it on either website or any piece on those websites that was authored by Leonard C. Goodman. However, there were an abundance of articles on CounterPunch's website that were by this author.)
This essay is an introduction to the topic of Mass Propaganda and, perhaps more importantly, to a brief series of articles detailing how the US has been for more than 100 years the most propagandised and brainwashed nation in the world. The history of thbis has been buried for generations, but the facts are indisputable. One of the most important elements in this tale, as we shall see, is the employment of propaganda in American war marketing.
This short film, written and narrated by political consultant Jeffrey Peel, compares the UK death toll of January 2015 with this month just past, and asks are we truly in the middle of a pandemic? Or has mass PCR testing simply created a monster with no body?
While you may not agree with every position he takes, there’s no ignoring his figures, or his concern about the personal liberties of every British citizen.
The might of Israel, the power of Washington’s interventionist alliance, the horror of war, the poverty of sanctions, nothing can erode this belief in their ability to withstand the darkness and to find the inextinguishable light that is at the core of their resilience. This is the impenetrable wall of resistance that has enabled Syria and Syrians to survive ten years of collective and devastating war and economic punishment and it is built on the ancient foundations of history, heritage, culture and refusal to kneel or capitulate to external, hostile influences. This wall will never fall.

  • Dump Davos #1: Data Colonialism & Hackable Humans. This video presentation is an almost 2.5 hours, and it is an experiment. I know that my followers cannot afford nearly $10/month, but I can. So if I do not encounter any harassment from posting this video from Rokfin, I will do so in the future. (I encourage those that can afford it to subscribe to Rokfin.) The content of the video shows that our capitalist masters are worried, realistically I may add, about the twin threats to humans posed by nuclear war and environmental destruction. But their 3rd threat is their fantasy-concoction--they call the "Great Reset"--that they are planning for us, the "useless class" of humans. This is a best post. (I just realized that Harari gave this speech at last years Davos meeting which makes it even more important.)
In this video series investigating the people and agendas of the World Economic Forum, Whitney Webb and Johnny Vedmore analyze a recent speech given at Davos by Israeli "futurist" historian Yuval Noah Harari that exposes the WEF's agenda for the "useless class", the rise of exploited data colonies and the creation of an internal and external surveillance state.
  • Socialist Group Cheering Censorship Gets Banned From Facebook w/Glenn Greenwald featuring Dore and Greenwald pointing to the irony of the left's support of censorship. (Via Jimmy Dore's channel on YouTube.) If you liked this video, you should be very interested in what looks like a continuation of the interview in this post "Why Online Dems Hate Jimmy Dore! w/ Glenn Greenwald". My reaction: Greenwald and Dore are only talking about highly educated upper-middle-class people who have long supported the ruling class, and many of whom are conflicted between their commitment to their principles and preserving their well-paid careers. Ordinary and working people are largely left out of this discussion because they are confused and lack organization, and because Congress is supposed to have charge of our lives. It must be recognized that highly educated and rewarded people are critically important in order to make the capitalist system work, and the system itself is devoted to private rich owners. It follows that this class of people should not be counted on to support the interests of ordinary and working people. Dore is extremely frustrated because he looks to this class to save ordinary people.

  • Contradictions of Finance Capitalism by Richard Peet from Monthly Review. My reaction: You will learn about the evolution of industrial capitalism into finance capitalism that began around 1950 and accelerated in the 1980s and beyond. They added finance to their wealth and thereby increased their power over the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. They sought cheap labor all over the world, invested in, and loaned money to, companies that exploited this cheap labor. The also bought many homes in foreign lands which added to their neoliberal outlook (trans-nationalism). The de-industrialization of the USA was the result.  The author reveal that he had an education in North America by ending his article with an affirmation of democratic socialism and a rightward move for the Monthly Review. Democratic socialism in the USA commonly means a welfare-state type of a capitalist economy. In other words, a fake representation of socialism.
I have followed this ex-Marine for the last 10 years, and I've always found his reports about political issues, whether they were about Thailand or some other country, to be absolutely spot-on (to use a British expression). Thus I trust his presentation and analyses of issues.
As Caitlin Johnstone frequently and convincingly writes, "Whoever controls the narrative controls the world." This is never more true than in today's world because the communication of ideas has become under such tight control by a relatively few capitalists than ever before. This point is driven into our consciousness no better than this article by Berletic. The solution is obvious: take away their ownership/control of communication properties. But that would be the ultimate evil of communism, you declare in an angry voice! The thorough indoctrination of your mind by capitalist ruling classes who control all institutions is the problem preventing any future progress and ensuring our ultimate doom.

Raevsky is an American whose Russian ancestry in the White Armies (largely British supported) has enabled him to become the most informed American about Russian politics. His ancestry has shaped his views of today's Russia, and as such he is a Russian patriot. The Russia of today is not the Soviet Union, a revolutionary government in the early years that became soon ruled by Stalin and his loyal bureaucracy under the onslaught of 14 capitalist armies and failure of the revolutionaries to spread their revolution in the advanced capitalist countries.
Today's Russia has opted to follow the path of China with a mixed economy (mixture of capitalist and state enterprises with the government in command) in order to pursue an independent path that is in opposition to the hegemonic US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. As a Russian patriot, he is on board with that path which has already shown signs of strengthening.
The development of a Russia-China threat to the Empire exists because the capitalist directors of the Empire have so far refused to withdraw their commitment to hegemony. This is unfortunate because it means that China and Russia must accelerate their economic growth to counter the Empire's goal of world hegemony. By doing so, they will hasten the destruction of the environment and cause accelerated deterioration of the climate thereby contributing to the extinction of humans and most other species. However, I see no other good choice.

  • Dijjywan—Dijjydo or Dijjydon’t? by Fred Reed from The Unz Review. (Note: This is an examination of China's digital money that is about to be released.) My reaction: This development will only make a radical democracy more essential than ever. I don't expect the appearance of radical democracy before the extinction of humans.
  • A Domestic Terrorism Law? War on Dissent Will Proceed Full Speed Ahead by Philip Giraldi from Strategic Culture Foundation. My reaction: Now that our masters set the Great Reset in motion, they expect, and will get, backlash from all those workers who they consider expendable. Hang on to your seats because the future looks like an extremely bumpy ride.
Though you are well on your way to becoming a model citizen in the 21st century, you still have a little ways to go. It is for this reason that a guide to 21st century Newspeak has been recently released to make sure that well-intentioned citizens like yourself are fully informed of what is required of you in terms of appropriate behaviour, as well as appropriate thoughts, and though this will take a little more time, appropriate instincts.

Don't worry, she provides the guide, or the updated version of Orwell's Newspeak, in this article.

But I notice, and object to, this clause which reveals the influence of a North American "education". Chung, a Canadian writes: "All of these means are necessary if we are to realise that the only secure basis for oligarchy is collectivism, ...." She evidently doesn't realize the extensive threats that collectives posed for the capitalist enemies of socialism. Her use of "collective" and "collectivism", which was always used in association with an historical effort to gather individual worker skills to confront the overwhelming power of capitalists, shows that she, too, is a victim of capitalist indoctrination.

  • The Liberation of Auschwitz from Strategic Culture Foundation. (Note this statement: "Today, the liberation of the largest Nazi death camp by Russia's Red Army is a fact that is largely missing from the western collective memory.")
