We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

When even Zionists admit the project has failed

Click here to access article by Yvonne Ridley from Middle East Monitor.

Of course, what she means by the title is that this project massacre has failed in the world of public opinion.

Ridley starts off her essay by stating what should be obvious: "We should all remember that not all Jews are Zionists and not all Zionists are Jews." To support this she cites comments made by several prominent American Zionists who are critical about the latest Israeli massacre of Palestinians. She also reported on one shocking article written by an Israeli entitled "When Genocide is Permissible" and posted in The Times of Israel (since retracted).
