We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

  • Real COVID death rate 0.15% from Left Lockdown Sceptics: Socialist anti-lockdown news and analysis. My reaction: This figure was furnished by a research study conducted by Stanford epidemiologist John P.A. Ioannidis, and was peer-reviewed. But the ruling class has its approved "experts", and Ioannidis is not on the list. Therefore, it will be totally ignored by the ruling class's major media corporations. Instead, we will get uninterrupted fear campaigns with their insistence that we should wear masks, experience soul-crushing lockdowns, and take our "medicine" in the form of untested, experimental vaccinations.
You cannot understand the present unless you were furnished with accurate information about the past (history). Unfortunately for you, you have been given a history written by the secret services of the USA, mainly by the CIA. However, Cynthia Chung, who has done enormous research, has liberated true history from the fake that you have been fed by institutions that are all under the control of the capitalist ruling class.
  • New Yorker Uses Cartoons to Boost “Uyghur Genocide” Myth by Brian Berletic from his weblog Land Destroyer Report. My reaction: The busy, trying-to-survive ordinary Americans usually swallow US imperialist propaganda, but Berletic makes a herculean effort trying to expose it for what it is--lies.
... capitalism cannot do anything but accumulate more and more capital. And capital is virtually everything that exists, from the raw minerals and petrol deep in the earth’s crust, to the fish in the sea and trees in the boreal range, to governments and politicians, to our own personal information and preferences. It has created a global arrangement of power that must use obfuscation and violence, or its threat, as a way of keeping the engine running.

Orphan forgot to include racism in the weapons that the tiny class of capitalists has used against the survival of humans. Racism has been used to divide humans so that capitalists can continue plundering and destabilizing the Earth's miracle ecosystem that supports all life.

Posts that I especially recommend for Tuesday, March 23, 2021

(Sorry for the late posting for Tuesday--I have been preoccupied by personal matters--I thought I had already uploaded it.)
  • A History of Warring on the Homefront by Mickey Huff from Dissident Voice (originally from Project Censored). (Note: I am posting this article/video from Dissident Voice because the latter have conveniently included the film of which this review on the film is based. Also, this is essential reading/viewing for all those fellow Americans who missed the actual history of American working people and were brainwashed by their history classes in the USA.)
  • OPCW Whistle Blowers Debunk Cover-Up & U.S. Propaganda featuring Jimmy Dore interviewing Aaron Maté of The Grayzone what has learned about the disinformation and censorship involved in the ruling class's reporting  of "chemical attacks" in Syria directed by the Assad government from Dore's Rokfin channel (26:22m).
  • Thoughts On The Iraq Invasion by Caitlin Johnstone, an Australian independent blogger, from her weblog. My reaction: She knows far more than Alfred McCoy, a prominent American historian, does about the mindset of the current American ruling class. Now that the core of the ruling class, combining the resources and wealth of the USA, the British Empire, and international Zionist Jewry, is back under Joe Biden, they intend to resurrect their longstanding project to rule the world (commentary).
  • Dispatches from the Congo: The Truth Behind US Claims of ISIS Presence posted on Internationalist 360° featuring Kambale Musavuli from the Centre of Research on the Congo explaining, in a 21:09m video, how US-backed forces are engaging in massacres on behalf of corrupt political leaders while also covering this in media reports as "fighting terrorism" and protecting "human rights" of local populations. My reaction: Surprise, surprise! (a cynical remark).

  • Real Reason CORNEL WEST Denied Tenure From Harvard. This post features Jimmy Dore and Max Blumenthal discussing (in a 20:19m video) the denial of tenure and other matters related to the "antisemitism" smear that Zionist figures use to attack anyone who criticizes Israeli discriminatory policies. You should start the video at 2:15m if you have already seen the prior video featuring Cornel West on the Jimmy Dore channel of YouTube.
By the early 1900s, Lippman and Bernays had learned from experience the methods of creating an extensive, false, and emotionally-provocative imagery and to use this fabricated mythology to control the perceptions and manipulate the opinions and behavior of the population of an entire nation. It had first been done for political purposes during wartime, to create immense racial hatred and push a nation into war, but was clearly just as applicable to political and commercial ambitions. At the same time, the wealthy elite of the nation created the higher echelons of an American educational system that would use essentially the same principles to entrench themselves in perpetuity by maintaining the bewildered herd as a kind of feudal colony of impoverished consumers. Those controlling the banks and large corporations were not content to stop with the educational system when they realised the broader possibilities of influencing the population through a nationwide scale of propaganda disguised as advertising, which led in turn to the creation and rapid development of the American advertising industry based almost entirely on the principles Lippman and Bernays identified. We then had the media, beginning with print and radio but rapidly including the movies and then television, being the vehicles through which this grand plan of population control would be executed.
  • The Western Propaganda War on Myanmar by Brian Berletic from his weblog Land Destroyer Report. (Note: Berletic, to his astonishment, reveals that the Thai government is funding pro-NATO propaganda. This post added to yesterday's Dore interview with Blumenthal of The Grayzone suggests that Western-based international news agencies are weapons used by Western governments' intelligence agencies to engage in psychological warfare in various countries.) My commentary follows:
There are many indications that the CIA, NSA, etc. are engaging in influencing the minds of Americans within this country, and that news reporting is transformed into propaganda to promote capitalist ruling class interests here and abroad. I don't think it is an exaggeration to state that we in America, and many other places in the world, are living in a kind of "Truman Show", a programmed reality that was produced by our masters in the capitalist ruling class. Or, using the concept of Caitlin Johnstone, we are living in a "narrative matrix" to suggest that the ruling class's control of all ideological institutions is producing a fake reality for most of us. They do this by using fake news and propaganda, via their ownership and control of media corporations, that they spread throughout all the other ideological institutions (education, entertainment, etc.) in order to control people's minds, especially within the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire.

This practice is the essence of neo-fascism, an updated version of old-fashioned fascism, now used by our contemporary masters in the ruling class in contrast to the classic fascism of German and Italian history (reliance on police terror). To be sure, the latter used elements of fake news and propaganda, but they relied on hard fascist methods because of the underdevelopment of propaganda during their rule. However, whenever the methods of neofascism fail, our contemporary masters don't hesitate to use the police and military forces to put down opposition.

  • New NORAD Warfare Strategies and Canada’s Role in the Great Game Revisited by Matthew Ehret from Strategic Culture Foundation. My reaction: Although I don't agree with his main thesis that the British ruling class has taken the initiative and was the main actor behind the construction of what became the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire (it was a transnational capitalist project), this paragraph got my attention:
Anyone who has read Cynthia Chung’s Dr. Strangelove’s Spoonbenders will quickly realize why using AI to pick up algorithms that would normally be missed by human analysts, and generate hair-trigger decisions to counter threats from Eurasia creates a mountain of trouble for humanity, as glitches and mis-readings of Russian/Chinese intentions can easily escalate unstoppably into a nuclear retaliation by deductive/inductive machine thinking.
  •  Interview 1618 – New World Next Week with James Evan Pilato featuring James Corbett and Pilato reporting and sarcastically commenting on the news. Posted on The Corbett Report in a 22:08m video with links to relevant documents. The topics they discuss: The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election [from Time Magazine]; Germany Hired Koch Institute And Other Scientists To Justify Unconstitutional Lockdowns; and Nevada Bill Would Allow Tech Companies to Create Governments.
  • The Fire Next Time by Rebecca Gordon from Tom Dispatch. (Note: You will need to scroll down to the article following Tom Engelhardt's introduction. I am posting this article only to criticize its weaknesses.) My commentary follows:
Although well-meaning, this is a post that exemplifies the blindness that has infected American "progressives" and (political) liberals (in the contemporary sense--def#5) since WWII. The tremendous war effort and reactionary historians succeeded to erase the memory of radicalism that appeared in the 1930s. Gordon also exemplifies a person who has been thoroughly brainwashed by the secret cabal that has taken over not only American education but every other institution in the USA. This aggressive capitalist ruling class now rules over an Empire built on the ashes of the war when the US first reigned supreme in its military and economy.
She is the perfect product of an "education" that forgot the rising tide of the appeal that truly radical parties had on ordinary Americans. Gone is the memory of general strikes that hit San Francisco, Minneapolis, and many other cities. Gone are the memories of this radical appeal when Soviet citizens enjoyed rising standards of living and no unemployment. Gone, too, is the memory of FDR's reply to the charge that he was promoting socialism. Gone are Upton Sinclair's and John Steinbeck's descriptions of life during the Great Depression. Gone are the reports of US capitalists' approval of fascist developments in Germany and Italy. So much has been erased from history that is taught in American schools; and what was not erased, has been revised by historians that serve the ruling class.
Gordon (and by inference, Tom Dispatch and CounterPunch who re-posted this article) supports the "correct political line" of the day by condemning Trump's faction of the capitalist ruling class, but not capitalism which has led the nation and world towards either, in the short-run, nuclear war, or, in the long-run, climate destabilization and extinction of nearly all life on our Earth.

But, no worries, because our masters have a plan to avert climate destabilization. It's called the Great Reset. But carefully disguised in the plan is population reduction, and that reduction is ridding our working class of low-level workers, including small businessmen, who do not contribute to the wealth accumulation of today's corporations and many of their billionaire owners.

  • Is There A Flu Shot / COVID Link? – Questions For Corbett featuring Canadian James Corbett (who lives in Japan) from his website. (Note: This post was inspired by a personal experience that I had last November. I received the flu shot in early November and I came down with the flu a day or two later. This was a shocking experience for me because it was unprecedented of getting flu shots in the last 30 years. If I came done with flu, it was always in the spring of the following year. I am otherwise a very healthy 84 year old (83 last year), and haven't come down with covid-19, but I've wondered about this strange happening ever since. This post offers some correlations and research studies that suggests there may be a link between getting flu shots and covid-19 illness.)

Previously I have tended to avoid arguments regarding the riots going on currently in major cities of the USA. They have been increasingly characterized by two opposing groups--antifascists and fascists. I have done this because of the following reasons: I didn't know enough about the participants and I didn't want to alienate participants on the antifascist side that were involved with sincere beliefs in their organizations.
Much of today's neofascism is manipulated by well-trained agents of the ruling capitalist class who have infiltrated all activist groups in order to control and manipulate them. To be sure, there are a number of people who sincerely believe that they are fighting racism or fascism, but are being increasingly manipulated by these subversive agents. You see, the directors of the ruling class have learned that they can control all antagonistic movements in order to manipulate them for their own ends. This analysis applies to all activist groups: BLM, Antifa, and hardcore fascists.
The directors of the ruling class have long honed the weapon of organized chaos into a strategy to dominate whole societies. They have done this for many decades notably in places like El Salvador, Iraq, Syria, and Ukraine. The ruling class likes to experiment abroad with strategies of oppression and control, and those deemed effective are applied in the home countries of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire.
This, I believe, is going on now to a significant extent. Such subversive agents have found in the past that if they can control these groups, they can create chaos in societies with the result that ordinary people look to Empire sponsored groups that promise order to get rid of the chaos. If successful, ordinary people will support those with the necessary force and phony promises to restore order: armed forces sponsored by the Empire attacking established police forces, or the police and military organizations that the Empire already controls.
It is necessary to find antidotes to this chaos strategy, infiltration, and surveillance in order to build effective revolutionary organizations. I don't have a recipe for this, but I'm sure that activists can create their own given enough time--but time is in short supply. All I recommend is that any effective strategy must include real democratic principles and practices whether in activist organizations or in nations like Belarus. With the latter accomplished--and it is a major feat--an effective activist group must continue to devise methods to thwart surveillance. All of these tasks would have been much easier decades ago; but now, although much more difficult, it is imperative and in a short time. Perhaps the latest stunt, the covid-19 pandemic, promulgated by the ruling class has awaken activists sufficiently that they can accomplish these tasks in the time remaining for homo sapiens on planet Earth.

Ford demonstrates his much improved analytical skills with this essay. He, for the first time that I can recall, distinguishes the difference between old-fashioned fascism and the new slicked-up brand of what I prefer to name neo-fascism. The latter has relied on mostly mind control techniques made possible by the advancements of what the ruling class prefers to call "public relations". This they do by controlling the thoughts and information of the "hoi polloi" who they regard as "dumb fucks" and "deplorables". With the indispensable aid of the highly trained upper-middle-class, the ruling class has made their fortunes and power by their co-optation of this class by rewarding them with lucrative careers and insuring their well-being.
As long as the ruling class oppressed other people of the world through endless direct and indirect military operations and directing their police to ruthlessly crushed any opposition coming from black and brown Americans, "good" Americans went along. The ruling class using neofascist techniques: ubiquitous propaganda that we were protecting foreign people from "human rights" violations, that we are a "democracy", White Helmets, etc, the "good" ordinary Americans, distracted by endless entertainment, willingly went along.
But now when America and its Empire appear to be suffering defeats one after another, the ruling class is frustrated and worried that they are losing control (read about an example of a power/control-freak). Hence they are engaging in a dangerous gamble with this hyped-up corona pandemic to punish ordinary Americans for voting the wrong way in 2016 (and other reasons) while enjoying the current spectacle of Trump's old-fashioned fascism that will likely wreck his chances for a second term. The neofascism of the main ruling class will seem like a blessing compared to Trumps old-fashioned fascism, but appearances are deceiving. Where this will end is anybody's guess, but it looks like there will be two likely scenarios: a global nuclear war or else a slow agonizing cooking of the occupants of our planet Earth. In any case, I think we are entering the final stages of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. One thing is certain: there are many dangerous years ahead with widespread suffering for ordinary people of the world, including many "good" (obedient) Americans.
  • New CDC and WHO Study Proves No Evidence Face Masks Prevent Virus featuring Ben Swann, journalist, who explains again why, in spite of the objections of Facebook "fact-checkers", proves that randomized control research studies prove that there is no evidence in support of wearing a face mask to prevent transmission of coronavirus. ... it’s just the latest of the Deep State’s plays to secure as much power as possible as quickly as possible. If anything, it already feels old-fashioned, being authored in a pre-Covid world, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be put to use in service of the world’s “new normal”.

Can Twenty-First Century Fascism Resolve the Crisis of Global Capitalism?

Click here to access article by William I. Robinson from Radical Political Economy.

Because I am seeing my energy declining at my age of nearly 83, I debated on whether I should offer a critique of this seriously flawed article. I prefer re-posting articles that really aim at understanding this deteriorating world at the hands of transnational capitalism.

So, first off, I would answer the question in the headline. No, 21st century capitalism or any capitalism cannot ultimately ever resolve their various crises. Robinson declares that it can: "A fascist outcome to the crisis of global capitalism is not inevitable." Thus, he appears to be a reformist. Secondly, I find his use of "Trumpism" as not valid. "Isms" always imply an ideology. Ascribing Trump's style in the White House does not qualify.

I also recently read his book Into the Tempest where his outlook on world political and economic affairs was limited to that of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire's world. This is not the whole world. There are nations that are contesting the neoliberal and imperialist policies of the Empire and succeeding. Russia, China, Iran, and Venezuela come to mind. I think the efforts of those nations could very well impose a major reverse in the actions of the Empire. Europe is showing signs of waffling over their allegiance to the Empire. His book totally ignores this challenge.

I think Robinson is a product of US academia in which he has been exposed to pressures to conform to capitalist views and experienced a lot of censorship in materials he's been exposed to. He in his education was not likely exposed to the writings of Marx, Durkheim, and other radical writers and historians. I know I wasn't. I had to access their views independently by going to the college library, assuming that it is large enough.

Inside the neoliberal laboratory preparing for the theft of Venezuela’s economy

Click here to access article by Canadian Justin Podur from his blog.

This article illustrates the latest use of co-option by the ruling capitalist class to assimilate the well-trained upper-middle class to support the project of advanced capitalist US/Anglo/Zionist Empire--world domination. Because these people have had years of training and survived the filtering out process of institutions of "higher learning", they have been selected from the top universities of the Empire (such as Harvard) to engage their well-honed talents to the Empire's regime-change project in Venezuela. They will be well rewarded by enjoying safe, highly paid careers in academia.
... US foreign policy mobilizes every available resource for regime change and for counterinsurgency. Among those resources, you will always find academics. The pen may not always be mightier than the sword, but behind every US-backed war on a foreign people there will be a body of scholarly work.

The academic laboratory of the Venezuelan coup has the highest academic pedigree of all—it’s housed at Harvard.

Charter School Promoters Terrified of Growing Opposition to Their Full-Frontal Assault on Public Education

Click here to access article by Shawgi Tell from Dissident Voice
Charter schools mainly enrich major owners of capital while masquerading as education arrangements that “empower parents,” “increase choice,” “serve the kids,” and “close the achievement gap.” The rich and those who wittingly and unwittingly agree with them believe that the chaos, anarchy, and violence of the so-called “free market” is a modern and socially responsible way to organize mass public education in a society based on mass industrial production.

Because the tide is slowly but surely turning against their wrecking activities, supporters and beneficiaries of charter schools are becoming even more arrogant and belligerent in their efforts to expand charter schools.

The global struggle of teachers

Click here to access article by Jerry White from World Socialist Web Site

I frequently read in more independent websites that teachers are involved in labor strikes not only in many locations across the USA but in other lands across the globe. Such coverage is always omitted by our masters in their media corporations just like they refuse to cover the Gilet Juanes' ongoing protests in France for obvious reasons: the careful management of information that we are allowed to receive to protect the power and profit interests of the ruling transnational capitalist class of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. White attempts a summary of these strikes and their significance.
Teachers have won popular support because they are fighting for fundamental rights and because all workers are facing the same conditions—declining incomes and skyrocketing living costs, precarious employment and endless attacks on social rights, including health care and pensions—which were won over generations of struggle.

The developing movement among teachers is an initial expression of a rebellion that will inevitably extend into broader layers of the working class, particularly industrial workers in key sectors such as auto, steel and other areas of manufacturing. It is a movement that will be compelled to address not only the immediate questions of wages and working conditions, but the great issues that face workers in every country—social inequality, the shredding of democratic rights, the growth of authoritarian forms of rule and the mounting danger of catastrophic war.

  • American ‘Liberal’ Delusions on Trump by Finian Cunningham from Strategic Culture Foundation. (You should be aware that the US political spectrum has rather dramatically shifted to the right since the false-flag event of 9/11.)
