We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

Dizikes uses a definition of collectivism that may not be relevant in this study:

Collectivism broadly refers to the inclination to prioritize a group’s needs over an individual’s concerns, and social scientists have often worked to measure its presence among different populations. The researchers found a culture of collectivism to be a key driver of mask use even after accounting for many other factors, including political orientation, state policies, the severity of Covid-19 outbreaks, and more.

But what if the data provided by government agencies like the CDC, under the control of the capitalist ruling class, are all skewed (paying more to hospitals if they diagnose patients as having Covid-19, pressure on doctors to diagnose patients as having Covid-19, using PCR tests to inflate statistics, to instruct their "news" corporations to plant reports emphasizing the hysteria and fear of a "pandemic", etc.) in order to fake a pandemic? Now this researcher at MIT pleases his bosses and grant agencies with a study based on the above definition. Meanwhile, small businesses are going bankrupt and corporations are reaping record profits. And when some of the plain States are under the control of conservative capitalists who believe in old-fashioned conservative ideas, could we arrive at the same results?

I think this study is a very clever way to reach conclusions that support the existence of a "pandemic" and the various self-serving interests of the current ruling class! (I've seen other studies done to please funding sources.) No doubt this study will be quoted widely by those serving the ruling class to validate their clever project to create a "pandemic".

I think that most people have complied with these restrictions on our liberties out of concern for the rest of society, but that doesn't mean they haven't been deceived for nefarious purposes of the ruling class! The study conveniently goes along with all other efforts to wrap the deceivers of the ruling class with virtue.

Considering all the evidence, many were deceived once again as they have been in the past: the assassinations of key figures who wouldn't go along with the aggressive agenda of the ruling class, the so-called "war on drugs", 9/11, the invasion of Iraq, "the war on terrorism", and now this ... that so far is enriching billionaires, putting small businesses into bankruptcy, their employees out of work, and teaching the lessons of obedience to the great "unwashed masses". Could it be that it was the billionaires' plan all along?
  • The Origin of the Species (trailer) from Journeyman Pictures and their YouTube channel. (Note: Journeyman Pictures is investigating the topic of robots and their efforts to produce "good" effects.) My reaction: To me, it's simple. If you have the ruling class "experts" designing robots, they will be used for the self-serving needs of the capitalist class. Technology is neutral.
  • Antiganda – #SolutionsWatch featuring James Corbett of his weblog The Corbett Report pointing to some activists who are trying to encourage people to achieve independent, critical thinking.
What is the point here? It is that this whole ark of military strategy rooted in massive aerial bombardment – reaching back to the 1920s, and pushing forward until today in Gaza, is expiring. It has become obsolescent (at least in the Middle East), just as did trench warfare in the wake of 1918.

Tunnels (now, much more sophisticated ones), have gained renewed life as the answer to massive aerial bombardment on civilian terrain as a prime psychological tool of war. They mark the end of a strategy. Swarm missiles, and smart drone clusters are today’s inflection points: the ‘new’ warfare – just as much a game-changer as was the advent of the longbow (in the 1300s). They have become, as it were, somehow Hamas’, Hizbullah’s, the Houthi’s and Iran’s ‘alt’ Air force.

Later, Crooke writes:

The U.S. and the Europeans however have no idea what to do about the situation, beyond calling for a return to ‘normality’ – one that permits Israelis ‘to return to the beach’, and the Palestinians ‘to their cage’, as one commentator, caustically remarked about the meaning of ‘normal’.

  • Imagining Year 2020 Without Fauci, Redfield, USIAID, and the CDC by John Tamny from American Institute for Economic Research. My reaction: From my personal experience, I find "cancel culture" highly effective in limiting the views of ordinary Americans, particularly in relation to Americans believing whatever CDC and Dr. Fauci say despite abundant evidence to the contrary. "Cancel culture" is a ruling class sub-ideology that justifies censorship of those who have dissenting views, a characteristic of historical fascist-style capitalism. Worse yet, "cancel culture" is encouraging, and largely succeeding, in getting ordinary Americans to ignore dissident views related to the pandemic no matter how qualified they are on the subject.
  • The Disintegrated States of America by Pepe Escobar from "The Saker Blog". (Note: This post is essentially a book review of Disintegration: Indicators of the Coming American Collapse, a recent book authored by Andrei Martyanov that has had a marked influence on Escobar's thinking.)
  • We’re wired to care for others featuring an interview conducted by Sophie Shevardnadze of Tbilisi, Georgia (Sophie&Co.) with Patricia Churchland, a retired neuroscientist from San Diego, California, from Shevardnadze's RT channel on YouTube. My reaction: Although Churchland's theory of human nature as social animals makes sense, she admits that her field of neuroscience are unable to fully explain the phenomenon of sociopaths ("psychopaths"). Could it be that the man-made system of capitalism rewards "psychopaths" with wealth and power?

  • Dr. Cornel West Is A Free Man featuring West along with Jimmy Dore from the latter's channel on Rokfin. (Note: Listen to the 10:12m video to find out what the title means, and other insights.)
  • Role of NGOs in Promoting Neo-Colonialism by Syed Ehtisham from CounterCurrents. (Note: Read this to find out about NGOs. They can be used for good or for evil. The US/Anglo/Zionist Empire often uses them for subversion of nations that they do not like. This report offers extensive documentation.)
... the past that Klaus Schwab has worked to hide is explored in detail, revealing the involvement of the Schwab family, not only in the Nazi quest for an atomic bomb, but apartheid South Africa’s illegal nuclear programme. Especially revealing is the history of Klaus’ father, Eugen Schwab, who led the Nazi-supported German branch of a Swiss engineering firm into the war as a prominent military contractor. That company, Escher-Wyss, would use slave labor to produce machinery critical to the Nazi war effort as well as the Nazi’s effort to produce heavy water for its nuclear program. Years later, at the same company, a young Klaus Schwab served on the board of directors when the decision was made to furnish the racist apartheid regime of South Africa with the necessary equipment to further its quest to become a nuclear power.
In a society that maintains the illusion of freedom in order to prevent outrage and revolution, it does not serve rulers to stifle all dissent. Just the opposite in fact: their interests are served by having a small number of dissidents hanging around the fringes of society creating the illusion of freedom. If Johnny Hempshirt over there is allowed to stand on a soapbox and criticize the US war machine, then the US must be a free country.

So they don’t work to silence all dissent. What they do is work to make sure that dissent never hits a critical mass and goes mainstream.
My commentary follows:
This grabbed my attention because I don't see my lifetime of telling the truth (as I see it) has done much good. The capitalist ruling class has to maintain the illusion of freedom and "democracy" by keeping dissidents marginalized to the numerical fringes of acceptable debate. That way they can "eat their cake, and have it too", that is, they can preserve their propaganda about freedom and democracy, and at the same time, manage their self-serving rule.

I was only once asked, and this was in person, how I had permitted to write such vigorous criticism about the rule of capitalism. I answered that it didn't matter to the ruling class if a few voices criticized the social-political arrangements under their rule because it was permitted only to a few dissidents in order to maintain the illusion of democracy and civil rights. However, I've noticed in the last several years that I don't see any of my posts go viral, but I occasionally did before there was a concerted effort to marginalize dissident voices. I agree with Johnstone--they are only worried about numbers of dissidents.

I don't share her optimism that eventually things will change. I'm particularly concerned about the word "eventually"--that is, if we had enough time, we might eliminate the ruling capitalist class. I don't think we human animals have much time left on planet Earth before we also become extinct after our (I hold the capitalist classes primarily responsible) destabilization of the climate really sets in. I think we have devoted too (def #2) much time to ancient religions which erroneously put us in the center of the universe. We have failed to recognize that we are a part of the web of life on planet Earth. In the meantime, I and other dissidents will continue our work to tell the truth about our ruling class and the system which serves them with so much wealth and power.
However, I think we should also accept our ultimate defeat. Our masters in the ruling class (I hold upper-middle-class workers and their self-centered concerns primarily responsible) have been much too clever with their control of information. Unfortunately, we human animals can't seem to overcome the weakness of our species' Achilles heel, that is, the devotion to ourselves and our families; and instead with a class consciousness, a dedication to overcoming our subservience to a ruling class. Perhaps Margaret Thatcher was right when she said "there was no such thing as society, there were only individuals and their families".
  • The Nature of Money by M.K. Anderson from Current Affairs. My reaction: The author is an accountant and his closing comments reflect his views on the use of money in our existing capitalist societies:
... it’s a tool used to describe workers with the goal of extracting wealth and labor from them. It is an incredibly poor tool for holding the wealthy accountable, and so we will have to come up with other methods.

Posts that I especially recommend today: Sunday, February 7, 2021

Perhaps I was prepared for this article after some related thoughts that infiltrated my consciousness as I was gradually awakening this morning. In any case, this short article contains some fundamental gems of truth that powerfully connects with me, and it has stimulated my thinking with further questions. However, I don't think that this essay is merely about elections. This insight applies to all of the delusions that they impose on us to preserve their power.
To extend the metaphor of this Alzheimer's facility even more, I ask this pregnant question: What if the staff operating that facility are also filled with delusions of power and grandeur? What if their system of capitalism has so concentrated wealth and power in their hands that they see themselves as super-humans, as a species apart from ordinary humans? Then their actions make more sense--at least, to me.

But this is a dangerous thought. Imagine that our masters in the ruling class have in their deluded thinking reached a conclusion that in order to save themselves they must get rid of us untermenschen? They might in this belief decide that we ordinary humans are "useless eaters" and expendable, or worse yet like "communists" or anti-capitalists--class enemies, and kill us all in order to save themselves from the climate crisis, which they have caused, and they know is coming sooner or later. Perhaps the Great Reset is one such delusion.
Given the history so far of the rich planners behind the coronavirus pandemic and their statements regarding the Great Reset, I think that a cyber-crime event on some scale is being crafted by at least the people involved in the Great Reset (which consist of the transnational ruling classes behind the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire). They are motivated to create this risky gamble by the following reasons: the basic conflict between capitalism and the stability of the climate, the potential possibilities created by privately-owned high tech corporations in the advances of artificial intelligence, the future of capitalist enterprises using automated technology that obviates the need for most workers, and the difficulties of capitalist financial institutions and the rich ruling classes to maintain their current existence in the face of so many debts.

House Niggers Mutiny

Click here to access article by Israel Shamir from The Unz Review.

Shamir uses the insightful concept invented by Malcolm X (Google which "owns" YouTube has removed a better video) to explain how and why ordinary people often identify with their oppressors. It's because it pays well in terms of wages, careers, perks, etc. I don't for a minute refuse to acknowledge that there are legitimate reasons that motivate some of the Hong Kong protesters (as the WSWS website has done); but if they think that aligning themselves with the powerful Hong Kong billionaires will ultimately be good for them, they are severely deluded. There are always legitimate reasons for some members of the working class to join these protests, and subversive agents of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire always cynically use such reasons to recruit people to participate in protests.

Nowadays, one of the ways to identify such cynical actions by our masters is to notice which events their media corporations cover. When they provided so much coverage of the "color revolutions" in Egypt, Ukraine, and the rest, they did this because the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire's subversive organizations, like their CIA and NGOs, wanted to destabilize such countries and install more favorable regimes in terms of the geopolitical interests of the capitalist Empire. Hence there has been no coverage in major media (that I've seen) about the 40 weeks of ongoing protests in France against the austerity measures of that government, but there has been extensive coverage of the Hong Kong protests for obvious reasons.

Extinction Rebellion Training, or How to Control Radical Resistance from the ‘Obstructive Left’

Click here to access article by Cory Morningstar from Wrong Kind of Green

Morningstar analyses and illustrates the capitalist origins of the UK's Extinction Rebellion movement that uses crowd and psychological techniques to take charge of the hunger-driven desire to do something about the coming environmental disasters. The author gives examples of this fake movement to illustrate the use of psychological and social techniques of the well-funded new movement to advance their messages.  These methods were honed to perfection by the subversive NGOs that promoted the color revolutions which occurred in many countries in the early decades of the 21st century.

Our masters in the transnational capitalist ruling classes in charge of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire believe that it is better to lead the worldwide hunger to do something about the threat of environmental destabilization than allow grassroots people to create their own movements which might interfere with the Empire's obsessive quest for power and profits.
This , in essence, forms the key strategy of Extinction Rebellion. To isolate radical voices and to dominate the narrative. While targeting the non-practical and pragmatic. A narrative and an orchestrated campaign that serves the ruling class. To give a faux sense of inclusion, while mocking those who have, first and foremost, an allegiance to the Earth. Framing those ["as political absolutists"] who recognize that the very capitalist system destroying all life on our finite planet, [a system which] will not and cannot be magically reformed to save us ....
Although Extinction Rebellion takes no position against capitalism, Hallam [one of the trainers] has no issue with taking a swipe at socialism.

WATCH: Selling Extinction

Click here if you wish to watch this 23:43m video directly from Wrong Kind of Green. The video was produced by Prolekult.
[Prolekult is a Marxist film, writing and culture platform based in Birmingham, England. The project is presently run by James Bell (writing and narration) and Alex Bushell (editing and filming). The purpose of the project is to provide high-quality film content looking at world politics, culture and economics from a Marxist perspective. You can support them on Patreon and follow them on Twitter.]

It appears to me that Extinction Rebellion is a capitalist organized movement in Britain to enlist ordinary Brits in an effort to preserve capitalism that is threatened by climate destabilization and other environmental causes. As would be expected, and as the video claims, it appears that ordinary Brits will have no opportunity to make any significant decisions about the policies that the movement will promote.

Likewise, I think these characteristics are the same as the Green New Deal that is promoted by our capitalist masters in the USA. The very name is an attempt to feed off the memory of President Roosevelt's New Deal that prevented the worst effects of capitalist-caused Great Depression. In reality, I think that the devastating destruction of assets (and people) during WWII saved capitalist economies. Major capitalists during the 1930s opposed FDR's New Deal and actively fought it. They even organized a coup attempt against FDR. In response to his critics, he once replied that he actually saved capitalism from his critics.

I don't wish to discourage attempts to rescue us from extinction as a human species. I would advise British activists to get in touch with Green Anti-Capitalist Front. However, this is the last chance at survival and I want us to get it right. To get it right, requires ordinary humans to be in control of such a vital effort, not a tiny segment of capitalists.

The Manufacturing of Greta Thunberg – for Consent: “The Inconvenient Truth” Behind Youth Cooptation

Click here to access series of articles by Cory Morningstar with Forrest Palmer reposted on Deep Green Resistance News Service

I don't pay much attention to corporate media sources because they are all about deceptions, and instead I focus on news and analysis by reliable independent sources. So, I occasionally miss the scams being committed by our masters in the capitalist ruling class. This post is a result of receiving this morning an article from Climate Code Red (Australian website) which lauded Greta Thunberg and her followers. I knew that Morningstar and Palmer have been running a series of articles on her backers (incidentally, I haven't seen any other exposé of this fake operation other than the series run by Morningstar and Palmer), but I was discouraged by the tome-length articles that they, as usual, write and post. However, this morning's post by Climate Code Red, which has previously run excellent pro-environmental articles, had me concerned. They were obviously taken in by our masters in the capitalist Empire.

As a result of this experience, I admit I didn't read all of the series by Morningstar and Palmer, but I scanned them together with many other articles which supported the astonishing rise of teenager Greta Thunberg as an environmental celebrity. After hours of research I reached a conclusion: there is another sheep-herding operation going on to shepherd those concerned about climate destabilization into the chute that leads--well, maybe not to the slaughterhouse of managed elections as Bernie Sanders did--but to the control and diffusion of the growing worldwide concern about the obvious signs of weather extremes--the first signs of climate destabilization.

At this stage we can only point to the supporters behind this celebrity status of Thunberg and the many other manifestations of this sheep-herding operation. Morningstar and Palmer provide an exhaustive (exhausting?) list of the promoters. The following is only a sample of what the authors found: worldwide coverage from media corporations, and their capitalist backers have managed to have Thunberg appear at the UN Climate Conference; at Ted Talks, at Davos, and they have used her celebrity status to spawn other organizations supposedly concerned about climate destabilization: The Green New Deal (Democratic Party), We Don't Have Time (movement), Sierra Club's Sunrise Movement, and NGO supporters like the World Resources Institute. The articles goes into considerable detail about the capitalist associations of the directors and backers.

It's patently clear what is going on. The hoi poiloi (ordinary people) are once again being played for fools. In contrast to what we've seen in the past: devastating world wars, but this time it will result in human extinction.

Jo Cox, Her Assassination, the White Helmets, “Humanitarianism,” and Regime Change (Part 1 of 4)

Click here to access article by Vanessa Beeley and Whitney Webb from Mint Press News. (Updated at 11:52 AM CT.)

These independent journalists have researched the rise of the White Helmets and offer this exposé into a fake "humanitarian" weapon used by the US Empire's ruling capitalist class to promote their imperialist interests in Syria. However, their continued operation and funding from various front NGOs (I have done my own research on two occasions in the past, see here and here, on these "humanitarian" funders) suggest that the White Helmets will be used in many other places in the future where the Empire has an interest. For example, see this post.
This is Part I of a three-part [it has since expanded to 4 parts] series on the life and legacy of Jo Cox, focusing on the establishment of the Jo Cox Fund 24 hours after her dreadful murder on June 16, 2016 — a fund that designated among its causes the multi-million-dollar government-financed White Helmets, whose primary purpose has been to escalate unlawful NATO state-proxy and direct military intervention in Syria. We focus on the originators of this fund and the extent to which they influence Western policy on Syria and elsewhere. It is no coincidence that some of the world’s most ardent imperialists are behind the cynical exploitation of one heinous murder to enable global mass-murder as well as human trafficking under the pretext of “ethical” and “humanitarian” intervention.
See Part II which was posted yesterday here.
This is Part II of a four-part series on the life and legacy of Jo Cox. .... In this part, we focus on how the people behind the Jo Cox Fund have applied strategies intended to promote foreign military intervention that was first perfected in the NATO intervention in the Balkans to the current conflict in Syria. Additionally, we examine how these players have helped develop the massive public-relations machine with the White Helmets at its center and how that machine has sought to use Cox’s death to sanctify the controversial group and shield it from scrutiny.

The open talk of U.S. meddling in other countries around the world was so commonplace that the U.S. mass media spent no time covering the hearing, even though the speakers did encounter some pushback. Not all members of Congress are on board with the programs.
The "open talk of US meddling in other countries" and the fact that it is absent in corporate media is not because it is so commonplace. It is because media corporations are controlled by the same ruling class as are government agencies. They simply don't want the public to know about the "democracy promotion" activities of their NGOs. They have never publicized such activities.
The only comment I have to make is that this phenomenon of increasing concentration of ownership/wealth/power is inevitable for those who are ruled by a capitalist system. Thus, this is the story of not only the past 10 years, but it is the story of capitalism. And, the end result is always fascism.

Hong Kong’s Paradoxical “Independence” Movement

Click here to access article by Tony Cartalucci from New Eastern Outlook. [Edited for greater clarity throughout the day.]

Using the example of Hong Kong, the author illustrates how well-funded US sponsored NGOs lure educated young people in foreign countries to join in US's subversive activities on behalf of the Empire. These young people are enticed by the many rewards that their wealthy sponsors can provide them and the promise of lucrative future careers serving the Empire. Such rewards in these sociopathic individuals often offset their moral responsibility to others in their own countries.

There will always be sociopaths among us regardless of any one society. It is the responsibility of well socialized people to see that their influence is minimal. This also means that well socialized adults must strive to provide opportunities for young people to contribute to their societies in a productive way. In addition, they must insure that values of social justice, equality, truth, beauty, forgiveness, empathy, responsibility, cooperation, courage, patience, etc (perhaps you can think of others) are inculcated as an essential part of the socialization process and thereby thoroughly reject the crass, self-serving aggressive, materialist values of the US-led Empire. Could it be that the Chinese Communist Party that controls nearly all policies in China are not sufficiently promoting this kind of socialization?

New Year, New Turmoil as US Targets Thailand

Click here to access article by Joseph Thomas from New Eastern Outlook.

The Empire's transnational capitalist class, based in the US, Europe, and Japan, continue their efforts to encircle China using both soft and hard power. However, they are experiencing diminishing returns on their efforts. Read this carefully written article to see how Thomas reaches this conclusion regarding Thailand:
Thus, 2018 will not only see a concerted attempt to undermine the current Thai government and force it to hold elections the US will do all in its power to ensure Shinawatra [a Thai convicted criminal] wins, but also will see US-funded organisations in Thailand increasingly attempt to leverage violence in Thailand’s deep south to endanger not only Thailand’s peace and stability, but peace and stability across Southeast Asia.
Yes, it is a nasty habit of the Empire's ruling class to interfere in the elections of so many countries of the world. It is also becoming a nasty habit for them to accuse others of doing so in the USA.

Rigging Elections in Georgia, Russia and the United States?

Click here to access article by Seth Ferris from New Eastern Outlook

This piece provides an excellent antidote to the Russiagate virus that is being spread throughout mainstream media. You will learn how US agencies functioned to rig elections particularly in Russia and border nations. You will also learn more about the obvious rigging of recent elections here in the USA. It is sad to realize that this trickle of information is easily overwhelmed by the rivers of disinformation produced and distributed by media corporations. Ferris concludes his article by writing:
...no matter what Clinton apologises for, she will never admit that one of the reasons for her defeat was that her own supporters had seen how she won the nomination. Long before it was mathematically certain, the press insisted she would be the candidate, and she had only got to that position by excluding registered voters in various states who supported Bernie Sanders. This may be OK in Third World countries the US sponsors, but not the US itself. However obnoxious Trump was to many, Hillary’s vote rigging made her the devil they knew only too well.

Why did she think she could get away with it? Because the US has made rigging votes in other countries a standard official practice. Getting the result which suits the US is more important than how it is done. As a political insider and former Secretary of State, Clinton would know the fine details of such schemes as well as anyone.
This is precisely the reason why, as I've argued several times, the ruling class uses such crude methods to misinform people, to manage the opinions of people, and to manage elections. They have gotten away with such deceptions for so long that their deceptive practices are becoming absurd, even laughable--to informed people. But for most people, who are struggling just to survive, don't have the time to see through their manipulative games, and consequently they turn conveniently to the "experts" in the ubiquitous corporate media to explain what is happening.

However it is evident that the Empire media agents are worried about people having access to alternative websites that they don't control and which furnish news and information that puts the lies to corporate media reports. The evidence is Google's (including YouTube), Twitter, and Facebook's attempts to censor alternative websites such as World Socialist Web Site and Global Research.

The Six ‘Secret’ Tactics of Empire

Click here to access article by Caoimhghin Ó Croidheáin from Global Research.

Although the author fails to identify the empire in the content of the article, it is obvious that the methods apply to the US-led Empire. He provides a useful and succinct summary of the methods that have been used by US-led Empire operatives in their attempts, sometimes successful, to destabilize and overthrow governments that stand in the way of the Empire's global interests of profits and power.
The 6 ‘secret’ tactics of empire are strategies of change used by governments, usually covertly, to attain political or military ends through means not normally acceptable to the populace as a whole. The strategies are as follows:

Single Payer, the Democratic Party and the Nonprofit Industrial Complex

Click here to access article by Russell Mokhiber from The Greanville Post.

I am posting this piece only as an illustration of an incorrigible reformist liberal who still thinks that...
...the people at the grassroots...have lit the prairie fire that will not be extinguished by Democrats, or Green Democrats, or public interest Democrats, or the Democratic public option, or Democratic incrementalism, or Democratic affiliated sheepdogs.

It will not be extinguished until single payer becomes law. That means overcoming the pharmaceutical industry, the healthcare industry, the Democratic Party, Green Democrats, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and the nonprofit industrial complex.

Onward to single payer.
He makes this statement following his excellent exposé of the frustrating lessons he's learned while working in various liberal groups to pass legislation that purportedly serves the interests of ordinary people. This piece shows the political immaturity of American liberal activists which, I believe, constitute the majority of American activists. (The same applies to another post from the same website entitled "A Cure For Mad Trump Disease" in which the author claims that the solution is electing the right people to Congress!)

There is no way that a single payer medical plan will ever be permitted to pass into law in the US as long as the capitalist class is in control. Private insurance plans are a bonanza for the capitalist ruling class. Likewise with all the other progressive measures that interfere with the ruling capitalist class's pursuit of wealth/power and their attempt to control the world. While in pursuit of the latter goal, they have wracked up a huge government debt of $20 trillion dollars, which is owed to mostly Empire capitalist creditors who bet on the Empire by purchasing US Treasury securities. Their investments can only be realized if they succeed.

Obviously at this point our masters have only one option: to continue with "business as usual". And, likewise, we have only one option if we are going to save ourselves from a nuclear war conflagration or a more gradual extinction due to climate destabilization. Guess what that is?

Reagan Documents Shed Light on U.S. ‘Meddling’

Click here to access article by Robert Parry from ConsortiumNews

Parry has done some sleuthing by examining recently declassified documents to discover much of the history behind the setting up of NGOs as subversive organizations to be used by covert agencies to promote the interests of the Empire in other countries. He starts with The Asia Foundation, but soon discovers other NGOs organized in a similar fashion.
“Secret” documents, recently declassified by the Reagan presidential library, reveal senior White House officials reengaging a former CIA “proprietary,” The Asia Foundation, in “political action,” an intelligence term of art for influencing the actions of foreign governments.

The documents from 1982 came at a turning-point moment when the Reagan administration was revamping how the U.S. government endeavored to manipulate the internal affairs of governments around the world in the wake of scandals in the 1960s and 1970s involving the Central Intelligence Agency’s global covert operations.

Instead of continuing to rely heavily on the CIA, President Reagan and his national security team began offloading many of those “political action” responsibilities to “non-governmental organizations” (NGOs) that operated in a more overt fashion and received funding from other U.S. government agencies.

Cambodia Exposes, Expels US Network

Click here to access article by Joseph Thomas from New Eastern Outlook.

This article illustrates how some nations are beginning to learn how to cope with the Empire's use of covert NGOs to promote "color revolutions" in their countries to further the Empire's interests of profit and power.
The notion that NDI is “promoting democracy” is at face value an absurdity. Democracy is a means self-determination. Self-determination is not possible if outside interests are attempting to influence the process.

A political party funded and directed by US interests through organisations like NDI, supported by media outfits and fronts posing as nongovernmental organisations likewise funded from abroad preclude any process of self-determination and is thus not only in no shape, form or way “democracy promotion,” it is a process that is fundamentally undemocratic.

In the US where it is widely understood that money dominates campaigns and wins elections, it is difficult to perceive the US pouring money into opposition parties abroad for any other reason besides skewing electoral outcomes in favour of US interests.
