We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

  • Moderna’s free ride by Vincent Kiezebrink from CADTM (Committee for the Abolition of Illegitimate Debt).
  • Report: Big Pharma Extorts U.S. For Absurd Prices featuring Naomi Karavani from Redacted Tonight's channel on YouTube (04:33) reporting sarcastically and cynically on Big Pharma taking advantage of the capitalist system. Well, why shouldn't they? My answer: The system was designed this way.
  • The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters by Cynthia Chung from "The Saker" weblog. (Note: She goes from the subjects of phrenology, broadcast of the 1938 War of the World, to game theory to explain why fear seems to induce a lack of reason.) My reaction: Might this be an explanation for the hysteria and fear that the ruling class has promoted in relation to the "pandemic"?
We are at war here on Earth. World War III has been going on under our noses. Or, perhaps World War 2 never even ended? I wonder, has anyone else ever considered these ideas? Looking at the narratives of modern detente, one can easily conclude we will never have peace. It’s time the people of Earth reassess where it is (exactly) we want this planet to become.

My brief commentary follows:

I think that WW2 never ended because the attempt since then has been for the newly organized combination of USA and the former British Empire in their quest to construct world domination never ended. Much like the fascist-capitalists who made their appearance in the 1930s, upon the defeat of this rival the new empire decided to take over from the classic fascists.

The secret cabal located in the State Department of the 1940s, the US Council on Foreign Relations, and their British counterparts in 1967 added right-wing Jews of Israel to their Empire. The post-WW2 events saw the new de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire take over from the classic fascists. See my post of May 12, 2020 entitled "Fake leaders and ineffective movements" for my explanation of this assertion.

Since the formal ending of WW2, the history of the world has been largely written with this fundamental drive for world domination by this new transnational-capitalist Empire. The propagandists for this new Empire have largely hidden their motives and actions behind the themes of promoting democracy and human rights.
Academia, with its woke newspeak, is a god-awful thing. Only through the complete destruction of language can actually fascist policies, which threaten to eradicate humanity, be passed off as progressive, even social-democratic. Our aim is to build upon our previous chapters to show that these were not intellectual fishing expeditions – we’re here with the receipts.

Jeremy Bentham’s horrific theory and model of the Panopticon is openly presented as a ‘positive vision of the future’ which official academia endorses through its ivory-tower liberal idealists as the foundation of ‘Smart Cities’. The Great Reset openly takes its inspiration for the ‘Smart City’ from the Panopticon prison system.

I like two questions that Flores asks:

Why is there such a desire to create systems suitable for prison, for the free citizens in a society?

Why is the actual failure of the Panopticon prison, built at Millbank, not mentioned? It did not produce meaningful labor from inmates, and the rate of mental illness and suicides skyrocketed. How is this left unaddressed?

My answer to both questions: It is because the ruling capitalist class controls academia like all other social institutions. That is what is meant by the adjective "ruling" as in "ruling class".
  • Errr... So If THIS Isn't Immoral Then WHAT IS?!! featuring Russel Brand, a British comedian, commenting seriously and alarm on what the capitalist system is designed to do--from his channel on YouTube (10:49). My reaction: Except for one consideration: their primary motivation under this capitalist system is to accumulate more power and control than others, and not wealth. After all, how could one spend more than a million dollars on things?

The following post is selected by Brad Fredricks (and his reactions, commentaries, etc.) for this website:
There is no greater time I have seen in modern history where 'Mass Formation' has occurred on the level we are seeing at this moment in time. We are absolutely in ultra-dystopic territory that should have all terrified.

Are you still on the fence about what is going on? We have a global take-over in full swing by elite masters who are either grabbing power, money or both. Democracy is being driven off a cliff with terrified and disoriented citizens begging for understanding and guidance.

Long ago Gustav Lebon wrote The Crowd, Psychology of the Popular Mind. Lebons seminal work changed the world as he outline popular mass psychology characteristics, mass formation, that were later used by leaders like Hitler, and no so it seems, Governments, and Corporations worldwide.

We are now in a dangerous world where people are completely unhinged from the reality of what is occurring. People, scared, are socially pressured into taking vaccinations propagandized as "safe and effective", despite mounting evidence that neither is true.

The state of the world right now is such that those able to stand against the tide are bearing the burden of knowing the reality. For those who are out there speaking truth, doing their effort in communicating clearly with others, you are the protectors of the ones you love.

Never give up. Never give in. We have lives to protect.

  • WorldWide Walk Outs! from Children's Health Defense featuring a 01:07 video of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., CHD Board Chair and Lead Counsel, urging to participate in these protests.
Yang tries to present an objective assessment of the economy of China in the context of a "liberal democracy".  The latter term should read as a "capitalist version of democracy", and this applies to capitalist classes that form ruling classes in the West. In China they are attempting to use capitalist practices in part of the economy to speed up the process of socialism which means public ownership and control of the economy.

The astounding improvement of the Chinese economy no one can argue against, but what I fear is the power of Chinese capitalists taking control of the nation. China opted for this type of mixed economy to lure capitalist firms to exploit Chinese labor for greater profits, but meanwhile China insured a transfer of technology to increase their technological knowledge. It is a risky experiment, but they felt they had no choice given the slow pace of the economy under Mao. In addition to this risky experiment, they have also added to global warming which is currently threatening most species with extinction, including our own.

Except for the last paragraph, he frames his essay with assumptions about "liberal democracy", and on this scale China does poorly. Only in the last paragraph Yang acknowledges that the Communist Party is firmly in control,

At first glance, China’s policies may seem like economic contradiction or authoritarian madness. However, through the lens of public choice, onslaughts of regulation and the degradation of social freedoms represent calculated attempts to ensure the party is squarely in control of society. In the aggregate, the CCP behaves in a pragmatic and rationalizable manner, much like all other political actors. China’s leaders take deliberate steps to accomplish what is in their best interest within the constraints of their Leninist system. These objectives ultimately boil down to navigating a balance of control and freedom to maximize power.

"Liberal democracy" is thoroughly a fraud perpetrated by the ruling capitalist classes in all capitalist nations. They pretend to have different political parties, but the capitalist class controls all of them like they control every other institution.

"Liberal" has historically meant that people with money can buy and own the means of production, and with ownership comes control. This term "liberal" stemmed from a reaction to the King's required permission for capitalist operations like those of the East India Company. Capitalist ruling classes have maintained their appropriation of "democracy" as a kind of capitalist ideology for historical reasons: the French Revolution aspired to bring down the ruling classes, which at that time were the aristocracy and monarchy. Thus, "democracy" was the theme that destroyed the existing ruling classes. The new capitalist classes merely substituted "liberal" for true democracy.

This is precisely why capitalist nations rush to crush any hint of socialism (public ownership and control of the economy) which may arise in any form and in any nation as they have done to the Soviet Union, China, Iran, Nicaragua, Chile, Grenada, etc., and this capitalist determination has substantially formed history ever since the first attempt to bring socialism to Russia.

The following post is selected by Brad Fredricks (and his reactions, commentaries, etc.) for this website:
This week Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a rebranding to the name 'Meta', recognizing an attempt to focus on the "metaverse". So, what does is jargon rich rebranding about?

South China Morning Post (SCMP) highlights the sceptics who see "the rebranding as a bid to change the subject from the Facebook Papers, a trove of leaked files involving the social network’s harmful effects." Which, on its face, seems likely, but also seems like an impulsive act by a very calculated corporation. Let’s take a moment to re-frame this by understanding what the "metaverse" means to Mark.

As many parents out there are aware, one of the most popular video games in the world right now is the publicly traded Roblox. This game is a world in and of itself, or a "metaverse". Roblox took its form as a low resolution video game, copying much of what Minecraft began, working on laptops and mobile devices. Within Roblox are many persistent worlds, economies, and games, all of which are directly marketed towards children. This incredibly immersive world has no geopolitical borders and has provided direct access to kids around the world for anyone interested in messaging or monetizing their audience.

Years ago I worked with Virtue Worldwide, VICE owned branding and creative house, which essentially works with corporations to put a cool coat on crap they sell to youth, be it ideas or goods. At the time, Virtue worked with MTV to create a world called VLES, or "Virtual Lower East Side", which turned into another one of their failed projects. Their goal was to be the cool kids' version of Second Life, another virtual world that was founded in 2003 and was notably popularized by Ray Kurzweil, who created a female avatar named Ramona that he introduced to the world via TED Talks.

Kurzweil, who now works with Google and is considered a genius prodigy is an advocate for an event called "the Singularity", as well as being a devout trans-humanist, he promotes the idea of uploading one's mind to the net and living forever. All of this would require a digital space for the uploaded minds to interact. Enter the Metaverse. A virtual world where, if Zuckerberg and Kurzweil have their way, would be how all experience reality.

Facebook is the owner of the Virtual Reality Headset manufacturer, Oculus. The heart of this tech is the idea of fully immersing its users in their metaverse, "Horizon Worlds". Horizon Worlds is a fully immersive VR world targeted towards kids. So, when we see Facebook changing their branding and moving to 'Meta' I suggest that we must really pause for a moment and not too quickly point to bad press. Actually, Facebook's problem with bad press is less about what the general public over 25 thinks, and more about what kids think.

Ask a kid or teen their thoughts on Facebook and immediately they will shutter and tell you it is where their parent's hangout online, "so not meta". Facebook has had a branding problem as it has become the place for old people to superficially argue and debate about things that they don't really know about. Kids just don't want to hang out with Grandpa online. It's not cool when Mom and Dad are posting their political views.

Basically, kids don't want to get tangled in this web. For Facebook, their audience is aging and they have been failing to bring on 'fresh blood', so to speak. So, here is where we pivot from the fantastical headlines of what's wrong with Facebook to the more nuanced concept of why kids won't go on Facebook, enter Meta. Meta is Facebooks direct attempt to target the kids of the world.

Facebook, with over 2.7 billion users, wants to be bigger. If your audience is dying why not go after their young, right? Meta is about immersing the youth in a virtual world, post-pandemic, where everyone is nothing more than an avatar representing who they truly want to be, as opposed to living in a harsh world where people judge, this seems like a lay-up for kids.

Zuckerberg, by targeting youth and distancing himself from the core age group of his current platform, is moving his brand towards a dystopic video game reality world he'd like our kids to live in. A world where he fully controls what is around them, what is said to them, and what they are being shown. That is a huge amount of trust in a company plagued by abuse and willfully hiding the toxic mental health issues that have evolved from its platforms.

So, why mention Kurzweil? Well, Kurzweil was certain this is the future, and he trumpeted Second Life as being it. Second Life became nothing more than a rather creepy world where unknown people connected to have virtual sexual encounters, which is pretty much what happens to everything on the internet at some level. Yet the vision of Kurzweil has not gone away.

As technology caught up and VR headsets became higher resolution kids flocked to virtual games. Taking a cue from the pandemic, it seems Facebook wants to usher the migration of kids playing VR into kids living virtual lives, and shed its Dad-Hat.

The funny thing here is that the word "meta", a Greek origin word meaning after or beyond, also means "referring to itself", especially as it pertains to creative work. I'd like to point out that the value of Facebook has become super-meta. It is, in large part, a self-referential bullshit machine.

Bravo to Mark Zuckerberg, you've accomplished the improbable, encapsulating the world in your self-referential bullshit. It is time to delete Meta, an undeclared intelligence apparatus of whoever wants to pay them.

On the latest episode of “Doctors and Scientists,” host Brian Hooker interviewed Jessica Rose, Ph.D., a computational biologist and Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) analyst. Rose discussed the problematic flaws in the VAERS system.
The "they", of course, are the capitalists. The bankers. The mortgage companies. The housing agencies. The alphabet soup of agencies which will squeeze blood from turnips and your progeny’s progeny.

The media is the medium for their poison, all those tricks of the mind, subliminal and overt, messages that cause chaos, the mass hysteria, the constant fear, the rage against the ‘other.’ And, the other are our fellow citizens, victims, most of us, sliding and slipping and slurrying down the proverbial drain.
... what we are currently witnessing in 20/21 is the mother of all blow-outs. But this was always going to be the outcome given the myopic want-it-all-want-it-now of the [capitalist] cultural zeitgeist. We now seem to have reached the financial/economic/political and cultural inflexion point of the existing order. We can only guess at the eventual outcome – an outcome which has germinated in the mental landscape of Klaus Schwab and Bill Gates, and the Great Reset. But I suppose we could always try prayer.

  • 💥Our Broken Media and What To Do About It by Alan Macleod from Mint Press News. (Note: This post includes a visual and audio interview with two authors who know that fake news and false information have a long history in America--about an hour.) This is a best post

Doctors and nurses say the severity of illness ranges widely and includes abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions and suicide attempts, among others.

.... "We are hearing from members in every part of the country," says Dr. Lisa Moreno, president of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM). "The Midwest, the South, the Northeast, the West ... they are seeing this exact same phenomenon.

.... Meanwhile, there has been an increase in people coming to the ER with more serious conditions, like strokes, and heart attacks.

My [Fredricks'] comment: It is extraordinary that not once are the authors, nor anyone in popular media, connecting the dots of strokes, heart attacks and blood clots being the very symptoms that were warned of by Nobel Winning Scientists, Researchers, and Doctors. Yet here we are with this mystery rise? At what point does this absurdity land on the ground?

How things have changed since Donald Trump came and went as US president. Until then, I was able to identify myself as firmly on the progressive left. Now – with the Covid pandemic only reinforcing the post-Trump trauma – I find myself in some weird no-man’s land, trapped and squeezed between two ballooning ideological tribes that sound too much alike on too many questions.

My reaction: The ruling capitalist class has deliberately aligned with the Democratic Party, a traditional workingman's party and one of the political parties that they permitted, in order to use them as a vehicle to carry the nation toward the new Reset strategy. The latter strategy, in turn, is the ruling class's terribly destructive social response to the climate crisis we are now entering.
This piece, which will be of interest for all historians and history-interested people, starts out with the latest advocates of the Great Reset, The Fourth Industrial Revolution, etc. and a host of other names (Ehret identifies some of them as “The Singularity” and “Transhumanism”).

From there, he goes to the history of such schemes with roots in the Age of Enlightenment, capitalism, and Christianity. Of course, the first conflicts saw the Christian religion and science as major conflicts. But capitalism with its racist components also played a major part in the history of Western civilization.

The major historical problems are that the new discoveries by Darwin interacted with both of the major cultural drivers--capitalism and religion. You can see it in the history which Ehret goes into detail to explain. Furthermore, these conflicts resulted in a fetishization of science in the service of both Christianity and capitalism throughout our history. It is really only a rather complicated method of obtaining truth about our existence.

Ehret promises more articles on this topic in the future, and I am interested to see where he goes with this beginning.
The problem is that the proverbial genie is already out of the bottle when it comes to that country’s “drone diplomacy” with Ukraine. Now that Kiev is in possession of such potentially game-changing offensive weapons that have already been proven to have emboldened its aggression in the ongoing civil war over its eastern region’s future political status, there’s nothing that Ankara can do to restrain its partner. To the contrary, it’s now compelled to continue providing more equipment, spare parts, and maintenance.
The reluctance of too many to undertake effective defense of the Earth’s climate, since nearly 40 years ago, can only culminate in devastation of the planet’s life support systems—one of the greatest catastrophes the planet has undergone since the dinosaur extinction about 66 million years ago.

My reaction: The reluctance stems from the capitalist realization that you can't have infinite economic growth on a finite planet, but this realization is weaker than their addiction to profits and power.
  • The Class Wars of Internet Access from Journeyman Pictures' channel on YouTube (05:55). My reaction: This is not an endorsement for co-ops, but a method of surviving in a capitalist nation.
The following two posts are selected by Brad Fredricks (and his reactions, commentaries, etc.) for this website:
Facebook has over 2.8 Billion Users. This number is over 1 Billion more users than China has citizens. Having so many users, it seems one would want to believe they had some sense of moral responsibility, which has been repeatedly proven false.

Facebook represents one of the largest obvious dangers to society in the world, with undeclared yet obvious ambitions of taking on a more Governmental role, it is a threat to free and open society everywhere.

Interestingly, Facebook has morphed itself into a news medium, targeting and funding news-rooms throughout the world with money to publish stories. This may potentially indicate an effort to influence information dissemination, or at least cause news-rooms to potentially hold a sort of cognitive bias against them.

That said, there is a murky reality emerging behind the scenes and beyond the large amounts of cash they have dropped on the Facebook Journalism Project. It is there hiring frenzy across the globe.

Anyone that is willing to spend the energy can readily find that Facebook has been hiring former DC Lobbyists, as well as former Intelligence Officers, analysts, and security experts in large numbers. What started as a dorm room code hijack has morphed into an undeclared global intelligence agency with billions at its disposal, reporting to one man, Mark Zuckerberg.

Is Facebook making an effort to legitimize themselves as a public utility, or perhaps as a soft form of Government. By this I mean is Facebook attempting to insert its privately owned platform into the political process officially, giving it a level of legitimacy and power unprecedented to what it holds now?

There is only one solution that seems appropriate considering all the above.

SHUT IT DOWN. Simply providing oversight and protected rights does not change what has become a global surveillance apparatus to the NSA, it only emboldens it.

Professor Crispin is a rational voice of reason amongst the polluted horizons of intellectualism. Where many have folded their cards and turned to career safe mainstream narratives, the tenured professor has held steadfast on channeling his in George Carlin, and questioning everything.

One must wonder what is to come of anyone countering the narratives being dictated by the White House, as it becomes increasingly clear the Federal Government is encircling people who do not echo their slogans, question their claims, and seek evidence to support the anti-dotes prescribed by those with financial motivations.

The key take-away here is that we must all learn and devise how to speak with others on controversial topics.

I think the Governor has voiced an idea that will destroy the mandates. And he is calling back the legislature to act on the issue.
Unfortunately, in this video-interview Miller argues against global warming that is only supported by independent scientists rather than conventional scientists that go along with the officially approved denial of global warming. Only the ruling capitalist class, which fears global warming because it would be an end to their system, is aware of this threat to a system that gives them so much wealth and power.

In these days of rising sea levels, large-scale fires, increasing floods, rising temperatures, and the desertification of much of our planet Earth, it is getting increasingly harder for them to deny the effects of global warming. Obviously, the ruling classes will be infiltrating global warming organizations to turn them into impotent groups. That is precisely what has happened to much of the Green Movement.

The transnational capitalist class has spearheaded an effort to undermine the past international meetings, and the upcoming UN-sponsored international meeting in Glasgow, Scotland is likely to produce similar non-binding fake resolutions.
The real threat that Omarova poses to U.S. financial stability, that Democrats should be calling out, is that she wants to further concentrate all major aspects of the U.S. banking system in the hands of the Federal Reserve, a captured regulator whose 12 regional bank tentacles are, literally, owned by the banks. (See These Are the Banks that Own the New York Fed and Its Money Button.) Omarova offers not one scintilla of a suggestion about restructuring the Fed so that it is not owned by or controlled by the banks.
... perhaps the reason the vaccine strategy is not being reconsidered, but has become cult doctrine on which the Establishment has doubled-down, is that it was conceived at the outset, not just as a means to an end – i.e. creating herd immunity via vaccines – but also an end in, and of itself.

Looked at in this way, we can perceive not just ‘one failure’ – that a V-shaped recovery on re-start, was presented as gospel – but rather, a series of related judgmental ‘failures’.

He then describes what is going on today with the Empire's revealed strategies, and ends with this statement:

Cults historically are dismissive of fragility in complex systems. They are focussed on the means to ‘ends’. .... Human attitudes and behaviour – i.e. people – are seen as an obstruction, and as Biden repeatedly warns, “if people won’t help, they must get out of the way of vaccine rules … get out of the way of people doing the right thing”.

It seems that Russia and China, seeing all this, will remain aloof and patient – waiting upon structures to crack.
  • 💥Cruel Britannia: Britain’s Real Role in the World, with Mark Curtis by Alan Macleod, a Brit by upbringing, if not citizenship, joins in a discussion of Britain in the post-WWII world with Curtis. Curtis, according to the brief bio in the text following the video, explains that he is also a Brit. But his accent shows that he has been in the USA for a significant amount of time. This post is from Mint Press News (they are lucky to have Macleod as a writer) which is based in Minneapolis. This is a best post. My reaction: This is a document that supports my central thesis of a de-facto merging of American power with what remained of the British Empire after WWII that I explained in this commentary. This merger of post-war ruling classes added Israel and right-wing Jews (Zionists) which they settled in Palestine to protect their interests of wealth and power. This is the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire that we see today trying to assert their waning power--and it is a well-kept secret (among their populations) that is hidden by their human rights and democracy-promoting propaganda.
  • Golan Heights: No one trusts Biden and they're right not to by Najla M. Shahwan from the Daily Sabah (based in Turkey). My reaction: Biden, of course, is only an employee of the ruling capitalist class. And in the post-WWII era, the newly organized de-facto Empire, consisting of what was left of the British Empire and the undamaged USA, settled right-wing Jews (Zionists) in Palestinian lands to function as a base to protect the Empire's imperial interests.

Great wealth can do great damage. Grand personal fortunes, we’ve come to understand, can menace our democracy and distort our economic life. But these fortunes can also wreak a much more hidden havoc: They can mess up the minds of people who hold them. Great fortunes can leave their owners feeling supremely sure they themselves must be great.

Great enough to save the world if they put their mind to it.

I would go further. If a given socioeconomic system rewards its winners so outlandishly with money and power, they inevitably see themselves as super-humans who can save the world. As Upton Sinclair once said, "I used to say to our audiences: 'It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!'". Or in this case, "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his investments pay off so abundantly that he never has to work in a job which pays so little and has no power associated with it."
  • Goodbye Mr Marx by Darren Allen from Off-Guardian. (Note: I'm posting this only to criticize it. I don't normally do that because I would have no time for anything else. However, because I often post articles for Off-Guardian, I will make an exception with this post.) 💥My commentary (I edited for clarity on 10/26/2021) follows: (This a best commentary)/
Allen in this post is critical of Karl Marx's contributions to the philosophy of socioeco/nomic systems. Although I won't meet all of his criticisms, it is safe to say that Marx made a great contribution to this philosophy by revealing for the first successful time that societies are wrecked by classes, and especially by a self-serving ruling class. Allen's take fits well with the ongoing attacks against socialist ideas and their development since Marx's astounding revelations more than 150 years ago.

I often heard people say that they have read some of Marx's articles, but they couldn't understand them. Marx wrote a lot, and his articles are based on what his observations and influences informed his views. You cannot understand him without understanding the world of his time, particularly the philosophies that existed at that time. To be sure, his greatest mistake was his faith in workers and that they ultimately would be victorious over their capitalist bosses in their quest to establish a socialist system.

Today we see that this has not happened. It was greatly exaggerated by pro-capitalist propagandists with the disappearance of the first socialist experiment--that of the Soviet Union. We further see--if we have diligently followed scientists and their work--the catastrophic destabilization of the climate that the capitalist system has greatly contributed to, and this destabilization today threatens humans and most other species with extinction. Although Marx wrote a little about this threat, he rather much missed its important impact. Who could blame him?

In addition, I wonder if Allen didn't write this article for morally dubious purposes for secretive anti-socialist subversives like the CIA for the following rewards: insuring a career in capitalist enterprises, or for a lavish contribution for Off-Guardian's website? For such rewards we have seen in the past decades that subversive and capitalist-fascist organizations have turned other media organizations to the exclusive promotion of capitalist propaganda. What formerly passed as mainstream media reporting news, in today's world are really strictly propaganda organs manipulating the views of ordinary people to align with the imperial interests of the ruling transnational capitalist class.
  • Cool “Afghanistan Withdrawal”, Bro by Australian Caitlin Johnstone with her American husband, Tim Foley, also reading the script (but you may miss supporting examples, illustrations, etc.)--from her weblog.
The goal of the empire is to be able to topple governments and dominate the globe without incurring a negative perception among the inhabitants of the US and its client states. It has been doing this with a combination of (A) shifting to more “light touch” interventionism which doesn’t garner as much negative attention as full-scale ground invasions and (B) a global perception management campaign of historically unprecedented scale and sophistication.

Ideally the imperialists want to be able to dominate the planet with economic sanctions and the occasional strategic drone strike combined with mass-scale psychological manipulation. It is not a coincidence that nations where they are unable to do these things at will are the nations we are most aggressively propagandized against.

The empire isn’t getting less tyrannical, it’s just getting better at public relations. The need for critical thinking and alternative perspectives has never been higher.

  • A word from our sponsors by Bill McGuire from the Ecologist. My reaction: I noticed an apt question by McQuire as a sub-headline in relation to the upcoming UN meeting in Glasgow, Scotland.
Why are fossil fuel companies, their funders, and others with poor environmental credentials, on the list of COP26 conference sponsors?
The following post is selected by Brad Fredricks (and his reactions, commentaries, etc.) for this website:
There was a time when your health was not a matter of profit, it was a matter of moral social concern. Some may remember an old TV show series called Saint Elsewhere, about a financially beleaguered Catholic-funded Hospital in Boston. The series ended with the hospital turning into a for-profit healthcare center with worried questions about what that means for the future.

Like a flashback to the 80's medical drama, it seems that the United Kingdoms HHS (Health and Human Services) is going through their own St. Elsewhere, as the United Kingdoms NHS (National Health Service) is potentially up for grabs to the private sector. Double Down News, Dr. Bob Gill, a general practitioner and filmmaker wisely points out the dramatic decline of American health has come with skyrocketing costs, lower overall levels of service, exploding personal debts, and a genuine social breakdown of public health most notable by the exploding obesity endemic since that old episode of St Elsewhere aired.

Interestingly, St. Elsewhere was an NBC-owned TV show. Last year NBC News reported on how private equity firms now control many of the hospitals, ER's, and nursing homes across the United States, highlighting the potential for financially motivated individuals to make decisions that may be counter to the public interest.

This is the story worldwide. When we trust corporations and commerce over community, we the people of earth lose.
