in the time remaining, to help us understand how the man-made system of capitalism will lead to the extinction of our human species, and so many others.
We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

America’s Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Replaced by Robots
The technology that was created by workers has led to replacing other workers with robots. This is another illustration of how under the rules and logical dynamics of capitalism are leading to the concentration of wealth and power for a tiny ruling class who rule the US-led Empire and is hell-bent on ruling the world.
Instead of liberating humans from repetitive drudgery and working long hours, technological advancements could be used to free them to pursue education and preparing them to govern societies for their benefit. However under capitalist governance it's clear that the technological creations of workers are being used to put them in ever deeper poverty, ignorance, and hopelessness.
