We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

  • "They Planned It All Along" features Russell Brand, a British comedian turned serious activist, brings on Nick Corbishley, author of a book entitled Scanned: Why Vaccine Passports and Digital IDs Will Mean the End of Privacy and Personal Freedom in which the author reveals that the Davos crowd back in 2016 planned the "pandemic" to introduce digital IDs--from Brand's channel on YouTube (11:35).
  • šŸ’„Ukraine and Biowarfare Conspiracy Theories by Ron Unz from his weblog The Unz Review. This is a best post because it is packed with essential revelations. Don't miss the discussion with Kevin Barrett, and other materials are worth a study. My reaction: In the last video interview with Henrik Palmgren, Unz takes the government statistics of injuries and deaths that vaccinated-Americans have experienced at face value. This I think is a major mistake.
The non-government in Kiev is simply not allowed by the Empire to negotiate anything. The only tactic in town is stalling. Operation Z – or “the war” – could be stopped with a simple phone call from the Comedian in Kiev.
  • Let’s Re-Learn The Word ‘Detente’: Notes From The Edge Of The Narrative Matrix by Australian Caitlin Johnstone with her American husband, Tim Foley, also reading the script (05:33), but you may miss supporting examples, illustrations, etc.)--from her weblog. My reaction: Johnstone doesn't realize the desperation that is driving the policies of the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire! The directors are willing to risk everything to preserve their power over the world. We are truly living in dangerous times!
  • The Legality of War in Ukraine by Christopher Black, an international lawyer, from The Wall Will Fall. My reaction: The capitalist directors of the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire regard all laws as pieces of paper that must not interfere with their global agenda. They will do what they want to secure their domination of the entire world.
  • Biden BEGS Venezuela For Oil featuring Jimmy Dore, a comedian turned anti-propagandist and guest Kurt Metzger, a comedian mostly interjecting humorous satirical comments, and both breaking out in laughter at Dore's satire on the subject--from Dore's channel on YouTube (14:48).
Seizure of two Iranian ships' oil cargo put spanner in works of negotiations as US delegation comes under increasing domestic pressure.

Michael Rectenwald returns to discuss the ESG Index or "woke capitalism" as a selection mechanism or demarcation device to delineate which businesses are onboard with The Great Reset and punish those who are not compliant. It is effectively a Social Credit System for companies, feeding investments toward the compliant while starving dissident firms, competition, and industries. This sets up the possibility for doing to companies what is being done to individuals in Canada right now, de-banking them and freezing their assets, and is totalitarian in nature. This global government combines the worst of both systems (capitalism and [state-bureaucratic] communism). We discuss the WEF Young Global Leaders program, the threat posed by the people who don't see COVID1984 for what it is, resistance, and parallel structures. [my insertion]

My brief commentary follows:

The "woke" strategy in the title is only the latest strategy to sustain the transnational capitalist ruling classes. The (unnamed) interviewer suggests (08:57-10:23) that we patronize his sponsor which is only another capitalist short-term scheme. The interviewer and his guest, Rectenwald, are confused by years of propaganda and indoctrination regarding Russian "communism" during the Stalinist years after the destruction of the development of real socialism by capitalist invasions of Russia (see this and this) in support of the White Army. The White Army wanted to continue Russia's participation in WWI and were capitalist oriented. These invasions resulted in a Stalinist bureaucratic group taking control of the Soviet Union.

The interviewer identifies himself as a conservative (meaning a capitalist conservative which I interpret as old-fashioned capitalists), but he and Rechtenwald are really anarchists as well as old-fashioned capitalists who believe that any government during this concentration of capital is necessarily corrupt. Both do not understand that the establishment of historical capitalism necessarily evolves into fascist capitalism that we see today, and that we saw in Germany and Japan in the 1930s. Trying to establish parallel democratic institutions is not the answer, real socialism in which we, ordinary people, are the ruling class in which the class system itself will disappear.

I don't pretend to know what the conditions are like in China or Russia. But I know that Covid-19 is real, and many multi-system nations are dealing with it they best they can, and certainly better than many capitalist nations.
China’s infrastructure drive directly jeopardizes the West’s current “international order” under which Western hegemony is maintained by denying nations infrastructure, stability, and prosperity. This is why the United State through its “Build Back Better World” and now the EU through its “Global Gateway” are posturing as if they plan on competing with China’s Belt and Road Initiative, but upon reading the fine print, are clearly planning to simply roll it back and maintain the status quo.

My reaction: With Berletic's use of the "West", he means the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire. I, after many years of research, produced this explanation for the rise of another capitalist empire much like Germany's Nazi empire and Japan's Empire. And this post, which explains how the ruling capitalist class has engaged in a long-range conspiracy to rule the world after WWII, was recently supported by a book from a University of Columbia (USA) professor in a book entitled Tomorrow the World
  • Davos and the Purloined Letter Conspiracy by F. Robert Engdahl from New Eastern Outlook. My reaction: This is a recent development is only a part of the long-range goal to obtain global control by the control "freaks" of the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire.
Read those words again. “No oversight from Congress or the courts.” Essentially, US citizens are expected to trust the CIA to restrain its operations on its own volition. No one would, or should, accept such terms, especially from an organization such as the CIA with a proven track record of dissembling when it comes to telling the truth (as former CIA Director Mike Pompeo noted, in April 2019: “I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated, we stole. We had entire training courses. It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment”).

It is already law that protects the highly secretive CIA which functions as the operation agency of the capitalist ruling class used to destabilize foreign governments and to manipulate our own population. This bill was passed after the staging the "9/11" contrived event to shock with fear the population of the USA. Fear is the weapon they've used frequently on the general population to pass such legislation. This was also demonstrated in the war on drugs, the war on terrorism, and now the covid pandemic. Before those events, there was always the threat from the Soviet Union and now the Russian Federation.

The West means the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire which is striving for Empire's hegemony over the world (see this, which is supported by a Columbia professor in his recent book Tomorrow the World).
The planet is heating at an alarming rate. We need to raise the albedo, reflect the Sun’s heat, draw CO2 out of the atmosphere and reduce acidity in the oceans. It’s a tall order. Peter Wadhams and Ye Tao argue the case for different methods of geoengineering, and for restoring the acid/base balance in the oceans.

Peter advocates both #MarineCloudBrightening and Direct Air Capture. While Ye’s #MEER reflection project works with mirrors, particularly on farms, where increased shade would save water and cool crops in the escalating heat and droughts to come.

Both Peter and Ye recommend farming #oysters and using their shells to recover the acid/base balance of the ocean, while host, Dale Walkonen, recommends ending industrial animal agriculture. These solutions would be very powerful in restoring Earth’s natural systems, both on land and in the sea.

My reaction: Ye Tao of Harvard University is the author of the conceptualization of the mirror reflection project (see this), and thanks Guy McPherson (at 32:50) for the inspiration to come up this solution. But this solution requires the wealthy nations to put forth enormous investment in mirrors and their installation. I don't see any discussion of this solution from the leading capitalist ruling classes whose wealth and power is based on profits. Thus, I don't see this solution as feasible in the short-term unless the wealthier nations converted to socialism in the limited time remaining. The wealthier capitalist nations might employ this method in desperation at a last stage of the global warming crisis, but it will be too late.

Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter suspended hundreds of influential pro-Sandinista journalists and activists days before Nicaragua’s November 7 elections, falsely claiming they were government trolls.
  • Mass Media Hasten To Help Pentagon Exonerate Itself In Afghan Airstrike by Australian Caitlin Johnstone with her American husband, Tim Foley, also reading the script (but you may miss supporting examples, illustrations, etc.)--from her weblog. This post discloses an illustration of how the ruling class constructs the "news" that you obtain from social media and corporate news sources.
AP, along with Reuters and AFP, is one of just three news agencies which write the bulk of international news media reporting in the western world. Corporate media outlets who generally can’t be bothered to do their own original reporting on international affairs often run articles published by those agencies, along with whatever propaganda, spin, and journalistic malpractice they happen to contain. A quick search shows that this AP report has already been picked up and run verbatim by Politico, The Independent, Yahoo News, and many other outlets.

Not only there is there clearly nothing “independent” about government officials investigating their own agencies, but the possibility of any actual independent review of the airstrike has been made impossible, since the Pentagon’s report on the matter has been classified.

  • How the CIA Trained Violent Tibetan Extremists To Stoke Unrest In China featuring a video interview (08:28) with Ken Hammond, Professor of East Asian and Global History at New Mexico State University, conducted by Rania Khalek from Breakthrough News. My reaction: Young people are more informed than my generation regarding Tibet. I remember when the Dalai Lama visited the Seattle area, public schools bused their student to listen to his address. I remember all the bumper stickers saying something like "Free Tibet" of graduate students of universities that I attended.

The following posts are selected by Brad Fredricks (and his reactions, commentaries, etc.) for this website:
New OSHA and CMS Rules Mean Two-Thirds of All Workers Now Covered by Vaccination Rules from The White House. They will require employers with 100 employees to:
  • Get Their Employees Vaccinated by January 4th and Require Unvaccinated Employees to Produce a Negative Test on at Least a Weekly Basis
  • Pay Employees for the Time it Takes to Get Vaccinated
  • Ensure All Unvaccinated Employees are Masked
  • Employers are subject to requirements for reporting & record keeping
My comments:

Hot on the heels of The Lancet Report, which states "fully vaccinated individuals with breakthrough infections have peak viral load similar to unvaccinated cases and can efficiently transmit infection in household settings, including to fully vaccinated contacts", one must wonder why any of this is being forced on businesses and people despite the obvious issues around leaky vaccines (read as ineffective).

There are multiple examples around the world showing that, for years, hospitals have been operating and [at] over-capacity with very limited resources.)
  • GP Bob Gill Outlines the US Corporate Takeover of the British NHS in an interview (46:41) conducted by Lowkey, a British-Iraqi hip-hop artist, academic, political campaigner, interviews a GP (general practitioner) regarding the gradual deterioration of Britain's National Health Service, and starting this century details about the gradual privatization of health services under the control of US corporations.

The British National Health Service (NHS) once stood as an internationally renowned example of a tax-funded health system that delivered public-health services to millions of British citizens, lifting a huge burden from the sick. However, the rise of neoliberal policies in the United Kingdom has targeted the NHS to become the latest victim of a U.S.-U.K. economic trade deal that would put health care services in the hands of private U.S. corporations.

My reaction: What else could the British capitalist ruling class to do with a giant public health service? The same thing is happening in the USA with Medicare. This should be a lesson of how capitalism works, but the heavy indoctrination and propaganda that the people have received over many decades under our capitalist masters prevented most ordinary people from reaching this insight.
  • Foreign Agents #10 - Covid and Mass Hypnosis w/Dr. Mattias Desmet, features another interview (a week ago, and my commentary for that interview applies to this interview) with psychologist Desmet, PhD, conducted by Max Blumenthal via Rokfin. (Note: I had a rather difficult search for this interview (1:05:40) due, no doubt, to interfering algorithms that prevented me finding it. On Rokfin, you will find the volume control in a default position of "off". Turn it on.)
In addition, I view his appearance on Rumble in which he only targets the January 6 protest at the capitol as important. It seems to me that omitting the targeting of the Covid "pandemic" campaign as directed by the Democratic Party and the media, Greenwald is attacking a much softer target.

I consider the Democratic Party as a recently targeted political party by right-wing capitalists, who have been aspiring to control the USA since about 1940 (and have largely succeeded), because they saw it as more useful method to fool the American public. The capitalist ruling class has always used two political parties as useful to project a democratic facade for the nation, but the Democratic Party has been used in the past by the ruling class as an acceptable and weak worker-oriented party. Now that they have taken it over, the ruling class has used the Party has a vehicle for promoting the Covid "pandemic through their media corporations in addition to other themes.

Plus the rivals of the transnational capitalists, which consisted of more nationally-oriented capitalists of the Trump faction, have taken control of the Republican Party in the 2016 election. Thus, the covert intelligence services, which serve our masters in the ruling class, took it over and used it as a vehicle for the Covid "pandemic". However, Greenwald refuses to recognize this, and I wonder why. Could he have become "vaccinated" against any Marxist thoughts relating to ruling classes because he has been, like most Americans, thoroughly indoctrinated and propagandized?
  • The Drivers Of Empire Want To Rule As Greek Gods by Australian Caitlin Johnstone with her American husband, Tim Foley, also reading the script (but you may miss supporting examples, illustrations, etc.)--from her weblog. My reaction: This is a good explanation of the addiction to power. The latter, in addition to wealth, is mainly what drives the self-serving policies and media propaganda of the transnational capitalist ruling class which is in control of the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire.

With many focusing on tomorrow’s Cyber Polygon exercise, less attention has been paid to the World Economic Forum’s real ambitions in cybersecurity – to create a global organization aimed at gutting even the possibility of anonymity online. With the governments of the US, UK and Israel on board, along with some of the world’s most powerful corporations, it is important to pay attention to their endgame, not just the simulations.

And Webb, in conclusion, reminds of our duty to organize and react:

All of this should serve as a poignant reminder that, as much as our lives have become interconnected with the internet and online activity, the fight to protect human freedom, dignity and liberty against a predatory, global oligarchy is fundamentally one that must take place in the real world, not only online. May the coming “cyber war”, whatever form it takes, remind many that online activism must be accompanied by real world actions and organizing.
  • Designing Humans for Fun and Profit featuring James Corbett using a 50:40m video/audio from his website to explain to us what our masters in the billionaire ruling class are planning for us in the hi-tech world of tomorrow.
... resistance is imperative. But unless this resistance is strategic it will not achieve the outcome we seek.

Why? Because this elite coup has been decades in the planning and so resistance that is not carefully designed and rigorously implemented will not succeed. The elite is too well organized for haphazard acts of resistance to have any impact. Hence, there is no point simply reiterating the need for resistance. Only a strategically-focused campaign of nonviolent resistance – such as that outlined below – has any serious prospect of succeeding.

So what does it mean to resist strategically?

  • Will Congress Break Up Big Tech? featuring Ben Swann and David H. Hansson discussing and explaining the issue of Big Tech monopolies (14:03m) from ISE. My reaction: The answer is "no!".
  • Was it Just? America and Her Suicidal Combat Veterans by Matthew Hoh from CounterPunch. My reaction: These veterans have put the lie to corporate news media like none other. This is America's dirty secret. Now with the "domestic war on terror", we will see the lies turned onto the general American public.
I do not recommend this article, but it is important as a representative of how CounterPunch obscures the capitalist system behind words that make you feel angry. The is how CounterPunch poses as rebel to capitalism, but in reality it is only a release valve for a system that represents a pressure cooker for workers. I list this article as only an illustration of how CounterPunch serves the capitalist system.

The author's primary assumption is that the system is illegitimate because it incentivizes "owners" of private "property" to pay the lowest wages to workers in order for them to accumulate wealth. This, in turn, leads capitalists to get rid of workers and replace them with machines. Fine! But this does not explain how the myth of "ownership" obscures the control of property. This is the best kept secret of capitalism: their control of property through the fake concept of "ownership". The latter is short-circuit term to hide the man-made construct of belonging to individuals (corporations are considered individuals under capitalist definitions). That is, the term confers to individuals the near absolute power to decide the disposition of an asset.

The term "ownership" or "private property" is rooted in antiquity or past class-structured societies that arose when civilizations were first established. This initially was done through violence or the threat of violence to people to enable the violence-agent to possess (control) what he/she had not worked for.

Now they promise with the Great Reset project that you will own nothing and be happy. If you fall for this monstrous lie, you deserve to be unhappy. Because the Great Reset is designed by billionaires to give billionaires, or major capitalists, the opportunity to control everything and be really happy.

The objective of the article is to make you angry, but without understanding the complete true nature of the capitalist system as a set of constructs (social conventions), and must be destroyed before it destroys us.
United States warmakers have become so skilled at propaganda that not only can they wage a war of aggression without arousing protest; they can also compel liberals to denounce peace activists using language reminiscent of the McCarthy era.

Take the case of Syria.
  •  The American Empire in Asia in the 1800s from Tales of the American Empire. (Note: This is an opportunity for you to learn real history instead of revised history that you have been subject to in your schooling.)
Historians declare that the American empire began with the Spanish-American war in 1898. It really began decades earlier when the US Navy formed the East India Squadron in 1835 that grew into of the Asiatic Squadron in 1868. American warships deployed to Asia to intimidate and attack whoever interfered with American business interests. This force also established American colonies in China, Hawaii, and Samoa before the Spanish-American war.

  • Global Pushback Against Tyranny Has Begun, a new (01:24:54 hr) film brought to you by Oracle Films posted by Dr. Joseph Mercola to remind you addicts of media corporations of another reality that they want you to remain ignorant of.
It is odd why a summarizing biography on Barrett seems to have disappeared, if it ever existed, from the internet. I found only one from an old post of mine. They continue their vendetta today just as they do to anyone who challenges the Empire's ruling class's myths regarding "reality".

The promoters of the Empire studiously avoid mentioning censorship, and much prefer the newly coined phrase of "cancel culture", but it amounts to the same thing. I've noticed while reviewing my past articles by Barrett that frequently the YouTube videos had been "cancelled"

I think Barrett is a fanatic truth-teller; but because he has frequently suffered adverse consequences, especially to his career at the U. of Wisconsin, he has sought alliances elsewhere. One place he found was what I identify as old-fashioned conservatives like Ron Unz (and his weblog The Unz Review) to distinguish them from neoconservatives which have taken control of the US ruling class since the presidency of Ronald Reagan. As I wrote only last year (commentary for the last post), such people like Ron Unz represent an older segment of the capitalist ruling class:

... "paleoconservatives" (old-fashioned conservatives) in contrast to neoliberals [= neoconservatives], often referred to as "ziocons" (Don RumsfeldPaul WolfowitzRichard Perle, Dick Cheney, etc. most of whom were brought into government during Reagan's administration). Neoliberals or "ziocons" (because of strong Zionist influence) are favored by transnational capitalists who have aggressively pursued an empire compared to more nationalist conservatives who support national capitalist interests. [Trump was an older variety.] Neoliberals have taken over control of the Democratic Party, whereas the paleoconservatives are mostly found in the Republican Party, but there is little of substance to differentiate the two-party system of the capitalist ruling class.)
  • Tax evasion; Billionaires run the system featuring a commentary by Prof. Richard Wolff from RTAmerica. (The commentary comes after the narrator summarizes the finding of a ProPublica report.) My reaction: Surprise, surprise! (sarcasm)
  • Rep. Jayapal OPPOSES Voting On Her Own Bill! featuring Jimmy Dore exclaiming about Rep. Jayapal's explanation for not voting on her bill. My reaction: Dore exposes "Good Germans" from another would-be empire of the Third Reich which was backed by big German and international capitalists like the Krupps, Reimanns, Fords, Sloans, many British members of the Cliveden set, etc. Unfortunately (for them), the people of the Soviet Union put a stop to their criminal actions, while English-speaking members became more worried about the prospects of the British Empire being replaced by the Nazi's Third Reich. The British ruling class soon replaced Neville Chamberlain, who promoted appeasement policies to accommodate the Nazis, with Winston Churchill, a longtime visceral anti-Communist.

Quite simply, that being so invested, so immersed, in one particular ‘reality’, others’ ‘truths’ then will not – cannot – be heard. They do not stand out proud above the endless flat plain of consensual discourse. They cannot penetrate the hardened shell of a prevailing narrative bubble, or claim the attention of Ć©lites so invested in managing their own version of reality.

The ‘Big Weakness’? The Ć©lites come to believe their own narratives – forgetting that the narrative was conceived as an illusion, one among others, created to capture the imagination within their society (not others’).
  • Corporate Criminals by Rod Driver from his weblog Elephants in the Room. My reaction: Corporations only serve the ruling capitalist class, and as such they wreck havoc on the rest of the population in every society.  Corporations together with the financiers (banks, the Fed, etc.) are the motors of capitalism that exist to extract wealth from societies, and they use this wealth to further their power and control over societies.

  • Election Special Part 3: How The Bipartisan Swamp Is Engineering Election Chaos In Philadelphia featuring a review of internet documents that suggest a campaign of chaos, of which Philadelphia is the epicenter, and discussion with Whitney Webb and Ryan CristiĆ”n of The Last American Vagabond. (My reaction: This presentation is in video format and over three hours in length. If you have followed this website or have been reasonably well-informed by alternative independent media, I think you could skip this. If you are time constrained, I recommend the next post.)
  • Why is the Corporate Media Predicting a “Dark Winter”? from Vaccine Impact. (Note: An important video in this article has been removed by the management of YouTube. It still exists but on another software. What I like about this film is the narrator who is a very ordinary American, but who has learned to think critically.)
I have wondered how billionaire Pierre Omidyar's financial backing would affect the Intercept's website. I think it was inevitable that Omidyar's identification with capitalism would influence how the Intercept handled certain issues. Now finally the facts come out that the management have been editing Greenwald's views on major events.
I noticed that Naomi Klein joined the attack on Greenwald by arguing that he was not censored, but "edited"--as if there was a difference between editing one's views and censorship. This is another example of how people of the upper-middle-class, along with many of the middle-class, identify with the ruling class when "push comes to shove". Posing often as critics of the capitalist system, but when things get really critical, they reveal their true loyalties. If many years of indoctrination while attending universities failed to corrupt them, they soon succumbed to the many benefits from their collaboration with the capitalist ruling class whose overwhelming power and wealth could not exist without such people.

Because so many times during the last 10 years I've documented examples of authorities employed by the capitalist ruling class have lied (here's another current example), I have concluded that they rule by deception. Crowe has entitled his website after a book (which I've read) by a well-known 1920s sceptic and critical thinker, Upton Sinclair, who revealed so much corruption and lies during that period. I think that Crowe is another critical sceptic of our age.
I have been so troubled by the reports which take statistics and tests reported by corporate media TV as absolute facts without any nuances or details about how they could be misleading and problematic, I have looked around for critical analysts who do. I am convinced that David Crowe is such a person.
This post contains two videos by Crowe. The first one is where he critically analyzes health test results, and the second uses the same skills regarding Anthony Fauci who is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984. You might also be interested in a recent post by another critical analyst, Kevin Barrett, entitled "Tony Fauci is Corrupt to the Core!"
  • Why an Arab-Israeli diplomat's assault is no surprise by Jonathan Cook from The National (Abu Dhabi). (My reaction: We are all Palestinians now! You see, it matters not that we are Americans--the Empire's transnational ruling class is at war with all workers. They dare to because they imagine that they "own" AI and robots that can replace most of us.)
An Israeli diplomat filed a complaint last week with police after he was pulled to the ground in Jerusalem by four security guards, who knelt on his neck for five minutes as he cried out: “I can’t breathe."
There are obvious echoes of the treatment of George Floyd, an African-American killed by police in Minneapolis last month. His death triggered mass protests against police brutality and reinvigorated the Black Lives Matter movement. The incident in Jerusalem, by contrast, attracted only minor attention – even in Israel.

"The Holocaust" Is a Myth That Conceals Our Shame

Click here to access article by Kevin Barrett posted on The Unz Review

The author makes a good point about how history is often distorted by the use of victimization, and with particular emphasis on the current success of the victimization of the Jews that Zionists constantly use. As I was reading, I was wondering where he was going with this because he seemed to imply that it is human nature or institutional religion that are the root causes of this phenomenon. But finally at the end, he finds hope in the mysticism of various religions to rescue human nature and its culture from the "murderous lies" of such mythologies.
Ultimately it is the mystical dimension of traditional religion that holds the most hope for overcoming the murderous lies at the heart of human nature and culture.
I notice that he never mentions class or rulers and the uses of victimization to secure their rule. In contrast, he diverts attention from such a view, from socialists who argue that the analysis of class structure accounts for most of human history, and that the history of WWII in particular was a history of competing capitalist empires for world dominance. The US, Anglo, Zionist Empire won. Hence the ascendance of the myth of Jewish victimization which serves to diminish all the other victims.
... all culture is based on murder and lies, can we ever stop killing and lying? Marxists think a materialist utopia would do the trick. But murderous and uncontrollable mimetic-desire-driven envy is ubiquitous, even (especially) among those whose material needs are fully satisfied.
Perhaps Barrett is also serving the powerful of today.

Film Series Sheds Light On Neoconservatives Old And New

Click here to access article by Dan Wright from Shadowproof. (updated with cartoon on 1/22/2016)

Wright reports and promotes a series of three films by Robbie Martin called "A Very Heavy Agenda" which focuses on the relatively recent rise of "neoconservatives" and their agenda of world empire. The second of the three has now been released, and the third is expected next month. Although Wright provides an excellent description of the three parts and includes trailers, I have a problem with his and the filmmaker's perspective on the phenomenon of neoconservatism

Both suffer from a short time historical time frame which lends support to a perspective advanced, in my opinion, by people primarily of a middle class background whose knowledge of history has been truncated by the US ruling class's educational system. This view has been popularized by such people as Naomi Klein especially in her recent book This Changes Everything which focuses only on the recent period dating from the Reagan administration (1981) to the present in which neoconservatives and their ideology have taken over control of the US from the previous nationally oriented capitalists.

This new faction has a decidedly global agenda to which the internal US interests are sacrificed to their obsession with power and wealth. This has very adversely affected the US middle class who benefited from their privileged position while the US capitalist ruling class had a much more nationalist perspective even though they engaged in imperialist adventures. This change was by no means a coup which seems to be suggested by many bloggers and writers in addition to Klein like Paul Craig Roberts, Kevin Barrett, and others. The neocon phenomenon was only a natural evolution of a capitalist state from a nation-based imperialist orientation to a global aspiring empire due to the coalescence of interests among US allied global capitalists and their unparalleled accumulation of wealth and power. The first such capitalist evolution in modern times was the Nazi-led Axis empire.

Having crushed this empire, a global agenda was first pursued by a new secret postwar US agency, the CIA, through the Anglo-American-European complex of nations. After assassinating (with organized crime's help) the Kennedy brothers and others that stood in their way, the CIA and their political expression, the neocons, first infiltrated the Reagan administration followed by the full development of neocon power and their agenda under George Bush #2. 9/11 was their first project which paved the way for all their invasions abroad and the curtailment of civil rights within the US. Now leaders of both capitalist parties talk openly about the US as an "exceptional nation" and its people as "indispensable". As Roberts explained:
If a country is “the exceptional country,” it means that all other countries are unexceptional. If a people are “indispensable,” it means other peoples are dispensable. We have seen this attitude at work in Washington’s 14 years of wars of aggression in the Middle East. These wars have left countries destroyed and millions of people dead, maimed, and displaced. Yet Washington continues to speak of its commitment to protect smaller countries from the aggression of larger countries. The explanation for this hypocrisy is that Washington does not regard Washington’s aggression as aggression, but as History’s purpose.

Because the US middle class (in addition to the working class) has been harmed by the rise of the neocons in the ruling class (as well as advances in worker-created technology that is "owned" by capitalists), only now are middle-class writers and bloggers complaining. Only now after the neoconservative capitalists have taken over and have implemented their neoliberal policies which have adversely impacted the US middle class are we seeing these people come out of the social justice woodwork and complain. The working class have always felt the heel of capitalist exploitation and oppression bearing down on their faces.
