We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

AMSTERDAM — Investigative site Bellingcat is the toast of the popular press. In the past month alone, it has been described as “an intelligence agency for the people” (ABC Australia), a “transparent” and “innovative” (New Yorker) “independent news collective,” “transforming investigative journalism” (Big Think), and an unequivocal “force for good” (South China Morning Post). Indeed, outside of a few alternative news sites, it is very hard to hear a negative word against Bellingcat, such is the gushing praise for the outlet founded in 2014.

This is troubling, because the evidence compiled in this investigation suggests Bellingcat is far from independent and neutral, as it is funded by Western governments, staffed with former military and state intelligence officers, repeats official narratives against enemy states, and serves as a key part in what could be called a “spook to Bellingcat to corporate media propaganda pipeline,” presenting Western government narratives as independent research.
Because most Americans believed that they were the "good guys", partly as a result of understandable WWII propaganda but also because of post-war propaganda throughout all institutions (media, entertainment--Hollywood, and education) that continued unceasingly to the present time. Most Americans believe that they are still the "good guys", the "commies" were the new "bad guys", and the rest of the fairy tales the TV and radio corporations told them in the post-WWII years.

The fascist-leaning, world-dominating aspiring ruling class grew inside the State Department initially through efforts like Wall Street lawyers like John Foster Dulles, Sec. of State, and his brother, Allen Dulles, the eventual head of the unaccountable CIA, together with key members of the Council of Foreign Relations. A subversive coterie of people in both organizations swore an oath of secrecy as to their aims of building an empire after defeating the equally gross ambitions of the German Nazis and their dreams of establishing a German Reich.

I need at this point to make a slight detour in my essay to deal with the positive implications of two fairly recent posts (here--9th post and here--2nd post) by authors who I hold in much esteem--Alastair Crooke and Pepe Escobar.  On the strength of these positive references, I ordered the book shortly thereafter. But I was severely disappointed. Stephen Wertheim, the author of Tomorrow the World, has written with huge doses of gaslighting approval of these subversive Americans and their quest to build what is now (what I call) the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. Although the description of pro-fascist tendencies of corporate leaders supporting fascist ideas in the 1930s (also here, and my commentary here) is missing in his book, Wertheim devotes almost his entire book on peripheral issues such as "isolationists" vs internationalists with the latter, due to force of circumstances, morphed into imposing American might on the rest of the world to ensure a Pax Americana from a world faced with endless wars! His book is an apologia for this fascist coterie's secret project of building an empire! I have read widely and from a variety of sources on the lead up to WWII, and I have reached a different conclusion (see here and here). This fascist coterie had to swear an oath to secrecy, which Wertheim admits, because they were going against the wishes not only of the FDR administration but the American people. (FDR didn't trust them.) You can read the history of that period by reading a real history of that period in my recommended books section.

Back to my commentary on the above article: I was living in Honolulu, HI in the late 1970's when I met a Korean War veteran and prisoner of war who opted to stay in China after the War because he was so disgusted about the US using bio-warfare against the Koreans and Chinese troops that he didn't want to return home (along with many others who refused repatriation). I don't remember his name, but he was given special permission by the State Department to return home to visit his family. I filed this experience away in my memory. Then in early 2017 I read This Must be the Place by Dave Chaddock and I was convinced that US forces used bio-warfare against Koreans and Chinese. (Read my previous posts here and here.)

I also think that the CIA were so taken by their cover story that American prisoners were somehow brainwashed that they began to study methods of controlling individual's minds. I was convinced of this when I later read reports (like this and this) that the CIA had been pursuing such research at McGill University in Montreal. I wondered if they didn't use these techniques on Sirhan Sirhan to assassinate Robert Kennedy after listening to this interview with a lawyer, William Pepper, that attempted to defend Sirhan Sirhan. I wondered further if they didn't use these techniques on domestic "terrorists" reportedly engaged in mass shootings many of whom were mentally ill or unstable.
Presidents come and go, elections take place periodically, but the power and policymaking resides with deep state planners whose loyalty is not to any particular party but rather to the furtherance of imperial objectives regarding America’s presumed global position and privileges.

  • 💥Glenn Greenwald: Why American Journalism Sucks featuring Jimmy Dore (via his YouTube channel--19:31m) interviewing Glenn Greenwald regarding the deterioration of American journalism as a profession. This is a best post. My reaction: Greenwald attacks mostly the Democratic Party, but he doesn't know that the capitalist ruling class has completely taken over the political party, which has traditionally favored working people, in order to convince most Americans of the validity of their news coverage. But he offers the crucial insight that the ruling class uses their control over careers to control any potentially dissident journalists.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and an assortment of high-profile figures and policymakers are pushing for unregulated gene-editing technologies, the rollout of bio-synthetic food created in laboratories, the expanded use of patented seeds and the rollback of subsidies and support for farmers in places like  India.

These neoliberal evangelists despise democracy and believe that state machinery and public money should only facilitate the ambitions of their unaccountable mega-corporations.

  • What is Australia’s Problem with China? by Brian Berletic from his weblog Land Destroyer Report. My reaction: Berletic exposes that the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire is engaging in an information war to cover up their opposition to China's rise.
In late January 2021, NATO think tank, The Atlantic Council, published a paper termed, The Longer Telegram, which sets out a proposed strategy for the United States to achieve domination of the world, a strategy which focuses on China as the main obstacle to that domination, with Russia now considered an “irritant.” It is the fantasy of megalomaniacs who sit in dark rooms dreaming of world power and achieving it using any means necessary, including world war.

It is in essence a propaganda document designed to not only proclaim a new world war, the American war against China, but to try to justify this war. It describes a China that does not exist except in the fantasies of these right wing ideologues.
  • The Real Reason We’re Still In Afghanistan featuring Lee Camp, an online comedian, in a 6:40m YouTube video, parodying why Trump was countermanded in a peace deal when Trump ordered it at the beginning of his administration. (Note: Camp in his parody reveals that some other entity, probably the Defense Department, rules America more than the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, that is, the president.) My reaction: This experience demonstrates that the Defense Department answers to the ruling US capitalist class over which they control. This, in my opinion, is not necessarily bad because Trump with his impulsive personality was more likely to use nuclear weapons than the ruling class.

  • Stand in the Park featuring James Corbett from his weblog urging us to get outdoors while some of us still can.
  • From Debs to the DSA? Rescuing America’s Revolutionary Tradition by Ben Fredericks from Left Voice. (Note: I believe, based on a rapid perusal) that this is a rare, honest attempt to look at the history of left revolutionary movements within socialism. The article is for those who have read widely on leftist movements and revolutionary parties.)
I found this post initially on The Unz Review (I always try to post articles from their original sources) which is an old-fashioned conservative website. I have re-posted some of their article in the past that I thought were well-written and documented. But this piece touched off a series of thoughts in my brain that related to my increasing curiosity related to what I have noticed recently on TV. TV, I believe, is heavily influenced by the secret services who see this medium as a powerful propaganda tool to be used to propagate their insidious propaganda themes on behalf of the capitalist ruling class.

I have a well-tuned sixth sense about media corporations and their collaboration with the secret services that are under the control of the capitalist ruling class. I have noticed an increasing trend that suggests that mind manipulators in the secret services are up to something: the rather startling nearly consistent use of African-Americans in nationwide commercials.

But I was mystified as to what use this trend suggested ... that is until I read this article. I think this almost consistent use of African-Americans in commercials plus the recent widespread publicity about racist attacks of Asian-Americans by Black-Americans fit well with the favorite ruling classes strategy to sow interracial wars among Americans. You know--the old divide and conquer strategy.

Although I agree with the author of this article when he argues that these attacks on Asian-Americans represent an intermediate stage, but I differ when he predicts that the ultimate purpose is for a UN takeover of the USA. I see that these two recent trends fit well with the chaos strategy that the secret services have used to destabilize other countries beginning with Chile and El Salvador (see my commentary here, my reaction here (1st post), and my commentary here (7th post). I now believe that the two rather startling developments signal a chaos strategy designed against the American public to usher in a new authoritarian regime as was the case when the chaos strategy was used to target the destabilization of other nations.

Perhaps the transnational ruling capitalist class of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire now see ordinary Americans as the target to be conquered and prepared to fit in their New World Order, or the latest version of this--the Great Reset. What do you think?

  • 💥Whitney Webb Interview – Tanzania Coup, Rising Technocracy & The 4th Industrial Revolution featuring Webb who has returned from Chile, where she was needed to conduct personal affairs, interviewed by Ryan Cristián, host of this show from The Last American Vagabond. This is a best post. My reaction (based on only 15 minutes of listening to this program which lasts nearly an hour and a quarter--I will listen to the remainder after finishing this weblog): In this fascinating interview, Webb describes Chile as exemplifying the worst aspects of the USA, but if you think Chile is divorced from the reality in the USA, think again. The transnational capitalist class, who have homes scattered all over their Empire, doesn't divide up the world into nations. Remember, they see the world, or at least, their Empire as a whole. You, as American citizens, don't matter to them.

  • Biden’s Infrastructure Plan by Jack Rasmus from Alternative Visions. (Note: Rasmus discusses the deceptions related to Biden's vaunted infrastructure plan in a 57:13m audio recording.)
  • Pepe Escobar Joins Jeff J. Brown for a Great Conversation about the US, EU, China, Russia, Iran and DPRK [North Korea], plus much more. This is posted on The Greanville Post. (Note: I especially recommend listening to Escobar's opening statement (first 20 and half minutes) regarding diplomatic efforts of the US vis-à-vis China and Russia. Brown, who has lived and worked in China for about 16 years, and Escobar are good friends. Brown, who is now retired, lives in Brussels. Escobar lives in Thailand. Escobar is, in my opinion, is one of the top geo-political journalists in the world. I recommend the rest of the conversation (the whole 1 hr 10m interview) for those who are well informed about international politics.
I agree with Crooke's argument that following the meeting at Anchorage between the USA and China, and that China no longer believes in a cooperative arrangement that can be obtained with the US or the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire. However, I cannot agree with his following assertion:

Socialism versus capitalism? No, it is a long time since the U.S. was a capitalist economy; it’s hardly even a market economy today. It has become, more and more, a rentier economy since leaving the gold standard (in 1971).

Capitalism, like all other systems, has stages that it goes through just like the old colonial relationships that Euro-Americans had prior to WWII with the relatively pre-industrialized countries of the world in contrast to the essentially neo-colonial relationships the former had with the latter since WWII. The post-WWII era saw the frequent use of financial weapons that was first exposed in the writings of John Perkins' Confessions of an Economic Hit Man

Similarly capitalism in the Empire has moved beyond industrialization to the financialization stage by their pursuit of neoliberalist policies which accumulate wealth with the less risky interest of loans from the IMF, World Bank, and international banks located in the Empire. Also, these finance capitalists use loans as weapons to pry open less advanced economies for exploitation by Empire corporations. Crooke is evidently too influenced by the writings of Michael Hudson who ignores the exploitation of American workers by "captains of industry" (to the chagrin of his Trotskyist parents) and champions the previous phase of capitalism--industrialization.

Now we, who reside within the Empire, increasingly witness the use of censorship and manipulation of information that has replaced to a considerable extent more authoritarian methods of old-fashioned fascism. We, who reside in the Empire, are now in a neo-fascist phase of capitalism where capitalist ruling classes rely much more heavily on the control of information that is allowed to ordinary people. (To be sure, if the latter methods fail, the ruling class uses police and soldiers to crush all opposition.) Those who reside outside of the Empire are frequently subject to subversive efforts by agents of the hyper-aggressive capitalist Empire.
  • Dealing With Demons by Larry Romanoff from "The Saker" weblog. My reaction: This is a very lengthy post, but also a very interesting one from an author who is probably Canadian (based on his spelling of "organisers" below), retired and living in Shanghai, China. His report refers to the city of Wuhan and a single province, Hebei, of China which, I believe, was the only province that had numerous temporary restrictions imposed on its citizens. See the province in the center of China on the map below:
https://i.pinimg.com/736x/d6/31/0f/d6310f7b860e46be5b26f24008263ef5.jpg

I include two paragraphs from the article which offer some significant reasons why China dealt with the corona virus much more effectively than other Western countries including our own:

One reason the Chinese were able to deal with the epidemic while the UK and USA stumbled in the dark is that the Chinese think, with considerable justification, that they have been under biological attack, on and off since c.1950, and were therefore prepared with well-laid plans and competent organisers to respond to such an event. As soon as the central government learned the specific nature of the outbreak, it responded massively and to a very large extent the population understood the necessity of what was asked of them and cooperated.

The main objective of China’s Government is the rejuvenation of China, in part demonstrably evidenced by the determined efforts made for the betterment and the well-being of its population, which is reflected in the credibility and high level of trust the Chinese people place in their government. These concepts don’t exist in the west. In the US, the “world’s model for everything”, a virus epidemic is seen through lenses of profiteering by large corporations, sick people not being humans in need of assistance but merely a new lucrative “market” – for those with money to pay. An American hospital is not a place for healing the sick but a kind of barnyard filled with cash cows to milk. This is one fundamental reason underlying America’s chaotic and hopeless approach to dealing with the epidemic. The Trump administration failed to help itself and refused to help even its friends, on the one hand ignoring the suffering and extreme difficulties in China and wasting its time scoring cheap political points on the world stage, happy with the loss of life and the economic damage China was suffering.

I want to add only two fundamental reasons for the difference of outcomes. One, is that Americans have been lied to so often in the past 70 years (the assassinations, 9/11, invasion of Iraq, etc.) that many Americans no longer believe what the authorities and major media corporations tell me--whereas the Chinese completely trust their authorities and follow their instructions to the letter. Two, I believe that the ruling capitalist class has zero interest in the health of ordinary Americans. They see them as only sources of profit.

  • Real COVID death rate 0.15% from Left Lockdown Sceptics: Socialist anti-lockdown news and analysis. My reaction: This figure was furnished by a research study conducted by Stanford epidemiologist John P.A. Ioannidis, and was peer-reviewed. But the ruling class has its approved "experts", and Ioannidis is not on the list. Therefore, it will be totally ignored by the ruling class's major media corporations. Instead, we will get uninterrupted fear campaigns with their insistence that we should wear masks, experience soul-crushing lockdowns, and take our "medicine" in the form of untested, experimental vaccinations.
You cannot understand the present unless you were furnished with accurate information about the past (history). Unfortunately for you, you have been given a history written by the secret services of the USA, mainly by the CIA. However, Cynthia Chung, who has done enormous research, has liberated true history from the fake that you have been fed by institutions that are all under the control of the capitalist ruling class.
  • New Yorker Uses Cartoons to Boost “Uyghur Genocide” Myth by Brian Berletic from his weblog Land Destroyer Report. My reaction: The busy, trying-to-survive ordinary Americans usually swallow US imperialist propaganda, but Berletic makes a herculean effort trying to expose it for what it is--lies.
... capitalism cannot do anything but accumulate more and more capital. And capital is virtually everything that exists, from the raw minerals and petrol deep in the earth’s crust, to the fish in the sea and trees in the boreal range, to governments and politicians, to our own personal information and preferences. It has created a global arrangement of power that must use obfuscation and violence, or its threat, as a way of keeping the engine running.

Orphan forgot to include racism in the weapons that the tiny class of capitalists has used against the survival of humans. Racism has been used to divide humans so that capitalists can continue plundering and destabilizing the Earth's miracle ecosystem that supports all life.

  • Fear of Fairy Tales by John Steppling from his weblog. (Note: Steppling is currently living with his family in Norway. He has a strong background as an American playwright, director of plays, etc., and he apparently is highly educated. I find his posts rather challenging because I don't know how his frequent quotes and images relate to the substance of his articles. He is obviously very disturbed particularly with the current pandemic particularly its impact on children.)
💥Thus, I especially recommend Steppling's rather lengthy (1:23:54) conversation (via some technology) with Cory Morningstar, Hiroyuki Hamada, and Johan Eddebo found  at Aesthetic Resistance (Post #35) (also in the link at the end of the above article). I encourage you to listen to this profound conversation among these highly educated people regarding the significance of the pandemic and its impact on people.) This is a best post.
Johnstone writes in the article "Someone who says it’s human nature to be selfish, competitive, predatory, exploitative, tyrannical, vicious, brutish and violent isn’t telling you about human nature, they’re telling you about their own nature." Maybe so, but she apparently doesn't yet realize that the capitalist system is based on this view of human nature. Capitalists, and those unwitting people that support them, likely wouldn't dare admit to the negative characteristics but would swear that people are basically selfish. Thus, they would go on to support the capitalist system either completely oblivious to the more negative consequent behaviors listed above and would offer absurd rationalizations for them.
We are fed propaganda to cover-up the heinous crimes the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire commits directly or indirectly. Read a current post entitled The True Story of the Rwandan Genocide from Current Affairs for an example of a major crime (a massacre of at least 500,000 people). This is about who really was responsible for what has been "universally acknowledged as one of the worst atrocities of the 20th century".
  • Twisting the Law by Steve Martinot from CounterPunch. (Note: The following note was published within the article following the article: "[This article contains excerpts from a work in progress called “Brutality: a Study of Police Culture in the US,” which is also looking for a publisher.]". • How the Rich Distort Politics by Rod Driver from his weblog Elephants in the Room. My reaction: Read this if you still have doubts about the sustainability of capitalism.
  • It’s Time to Bust the Tech Talent Pipeline by Isobel van Hagen from Current Affairs. (Note: Read this article if you want to know about the latest CIA effort to recruit young students into serving the capitalist ruling class's Big Tech corporations.)
Palantir, the CIA-backed software startup, provides near-omniscient “crime-predicting” military surveillance for U.S. intelligence operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. It has also built technology accused of creating racist feedback loops in “predictive policing” software. The company, which recently went public, was co-founded by Peter Thiel—the Trump-backing venture capitalist billionaire who, in a display of comic book-style villainy, literally wants to inject himself with young people’s blood.
Shea's argument is correct that the CIA's Western firewall is complete in the sense that they control all major organs of media corporations and that they will use this giant propaganda machine, combined with AI, to ever greater efforts to confuse people and propagandize people within the USA and throughout the world.

However, I disagree with his allegiance to Stalinism and his identification of the latter with Marxism/Leninism. Stalinism is a worn-out version of Marxism-Leninism which created a bureaucratic class under Joseph Stalin's paranoid control in the Soviet Union.

The Russian people saved themselves from being slaves of capitalism under the control of German Nazis which were strongly supported by international capitalists. This is the basic reason that his type of rule ended with his death and all pretensions of working class control vanished with Stalin's disappearance. With the failure of the classic fascist nations in WWII, mostly English-speaking capitalists emerged and organized their own fascist empire after the war under the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire.

However, the peoples of Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and all the exploited peoples of planet Earth have risen from the ashes of WWII to confront this powerful, hegemonic Empire, and it looks like they are going to win. But their win will be a Pyrrhic victory because the victors will then face the onslaught of a destabilizing climate. The latter will result in the inability to support human and most other life forms due to the devastation of the environment and, finally, the destabilization of the climate caused by capitalist rule over the past several centuries.

The strength of this article is in the descriptions of the fact that the CIA has taken over the control of major media corporations and has turned them into a media of 24/7 Empire propaganda.
This article contains one expression of Russian and China fantasies, but totally ignores the reality of the climate crisis.

After WWII some nations which had devastated economies and other underdeveloped nations rose under the difficulties of the Cold War to form mixed economies which combined forms of capitalist enterprises under the guidance and supervision of socialist ruling classes. China was a prime example and the first to combine the two systems. These were compromises that suited the advanced capitalists of the Empire because they initially were able to profit from China's cheap labor. The Soviet Union soon collapsed and reformed with a largely mixed economy, and the two nations led the way to lead all other nations wanting to be independent from the burdens of serving exclusively the nations of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire.

China and Russia are leaders of this mixed economy movement throughout the world, but I believe they are indulging in fantasies of their own much like the more purely capitalist countries of the Empire. Although members of both ruling classes are expressing more concern about the developing destabilization of the climate, they are both pursuing capitalist development policies. Thus, those nations of the Empire have their Great Reset fantasy; but Russia and China have other fantasies that largely ignore the developing climate crisis, but necessary for their dedication of independence from the hegemonic Empire.

  • Smart Cities: Digital Prisons of The Great Reset by Derrick Broze from The Last American Vagabond. My commentary follows:

The Great Reset is all about our masters' fantasy: the transnational capitalist ruling classes, who are directors of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire and have a fantasy about saving their system of capitalism. Our billionaire masters are finally concerned about preventing the climate crisis and destroying their beloved system of capitalism, which is a system of organized plunder of the Earth's resources and the labor of working people.

Thus, it is more of the same: the ruling class is trying to co-opt us into following their self-serving plan to save capitalism for the future. If you like their past record of exploitation, never-ending wars, extreme inequality, full-spectrum control of everything, etc., you will absolutely love their plan for the Great Reset of capitalism. Brose expressed it in a nutshell when he wrote:

In truth, the push for smart cities, the UN SDGs, and the Great Reset is based in a deeper agenda to monitor, control, and direct all life on the planet using technology. The true agenda of the WEF and the United Nations is to establish a global Technocratic State where alleged experts and technologists make decisions for the vast majority of the people in the name of saving the environment.

The description of our masters' plans sound familiar. Doesn't it sound like what we experienced during this pandemic where dissenting voices about pandemic policies, contrary medical evidence, and scientific arguments from equally qualified experts are all dismissed or silenced? And you are confined to your homes, must wear masks, and get "vaccinated" with potentially unsafe and unknown substances in order to work or travel? And they're promising to make us happy despite owning nothing--because they will own, and thereby control, everything! Do you want such a world?

Just because they have recognized (too late) that unlimited growth, which capitalism requires, on a finite planet is impossible, we should follow them meekly and their self-serving fantasy-plan. I think not!
Words cannot convey how chilling and authoritarian this all is: watching government officials, hour after hour, demand censorship of political speech and threaten punishment for failures to obey. As I detailed last month, the U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the state violates the First Amendment’s free speech guarantee when they coerce private actors to censor for them — exactly the tyrannical goal to which these hearings are singularly devoted.

And he concludes with this statement:

We are taught from childhood that a defining hallmark of repressive regimes is that political officials wield power to silence ideas and people they dislike, and that, conversely, what makes the U.S. a “free” society is the guarantee that American leaders are barred from doing so. It is impossible to reconcile that claim with what happened in that House hearing room over the course of five hours on Thursday.
The team found that human activities have caused the radiative forcing on Earth to increase by about 0.5 Watts per square meter from 2003 to 2018. The increase is mostly from greenhouse gases emissions from things like power generation, transport and industrial manufacturing. Reduced reflective aerosols are also contributing to the imbalance.

(Note: This article has been re-posted by Children's Health Defense). My reaction: Because I have not had the training necessary to evaluate Bossche's argument and my reduced hearing of what he argues (particularly with heavily accented English, but due primarily to advanced age), I cannot say that his position is correct or not. But I insist that all highly-trained specialists be heard in the efforts to prevent Covid-19 infections, and I condemn all efforts to silence these experts which have been occurring in profit-dedicated capitalist societies.

  • 💥Why COVID Policies Are A War Against Humanity by Neenah Payne from Activist Post. This is a best post. (I only scanned this, but it provides so much good material and so many important links to documentation. I will read it carefully later.) My brief and later (at 6:36 PM CDT) commentary follows:
Although I have some objections and qualifications regarding this post, I generally approve of the importance of this post. Regarding my objections and qualifications, I object to the sanctification of our "Founding Fathers" in the (38:49m) interview with Vera Sharav. The only member of the Founding Fathers who objected to some of actions of the rest of the ruling class at that time was Jefferson. But he also had slaves which were needed to furnish labor on his plantation.

I also object to her propaganda-like allegations that (at 21:49m) the "same thing happened in Soviet regime and the Chinese regime". She has obviously been fed this information as indoctrination to hate the Soviet Union and Communist China. But what she directly experienced in Nazi Germany and the USA is undoubtedly true.
I don't know if this event is the global trade disrupting event that the author makes of it (with documentation), but it fits within his theory about the coming food crisis, fulfilling the Great Reset agenda, and that we should all plan to localize our food supply. It is the latter that I differ from him.

I see a growing movement of contemporary activists that want to localize our lifestyles to cope with the transnational effort (neoliberalism) to globalize all trade and to supply our daily requirements by major corporations. This development (see also this and this) promises physical and other separations from the neoliberal agenda of advanced capitalist nations as a solution to all of our social problems. This is dead wrong.

Not only does it take away from efforts to topple capitalist regimes and replace them with real socialist systems, but it also supplies a wrong solution to most of the major problems confronting us: a world facing a global nuclear war, extreme economic inequality, and the presence of tiny self-serving ruling classes and dictatorial regimes.
  • New World Next Week with James Evan Pilato from The Corbett Report.

After 10 Years of Civil War in Syria, US (Quietly) Declares Defeat but Won’t Go Home by Alan Macleod from Mint Press News. My reaction: US forces continue to occupy 1/3 of Syrian territory and bleed the Syrian economy of their precious oil resources. Maybe the ruling class has settled for a nation that is weak and unstable. It looks to me like the ruling class has turned much of its aggressiveness and rage from foreign affairs toward potential activist groups within the USA by promoting policies of surveillance and increasing onerous laws against their civil rights.

  • Washington's Obsession with China Expands by Brian Berletic, an ex-Marine living with his family in Thailand, from his weblog Land Destroyer Report. (Note: Berletic reveals that the actions by the US government indicate that the primary concern of its foreign policy toward China is motivated by a concern to advance the profits US corporations and other transnational corporations under the control of the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire.) My reaction: This applies to all policies promoted by the Empire. It is the expression of neofascism (essentially governments corrupted by the promotion of power and profits by the Empire's ruling capitalist classes) which saw the replacement of the fascist nations led by Nazi Germany in the last century with the new US/Anglo/Zionist Empire since then.
In the ensuing days of meetings, it should not come as a surprise that very little in the way of serious conflict resolution occurred. In fact, the only solid points of agreement which the U.S. side would permit involved two joint protocols that fall perfectly into alignment with the Malthusian closed system objectives of the Great Reset agenda attempting to reign in a post-nation state world order in the wake of the oncoming economic meltdown.

Eric Zuesse agrees with Ehret in his latest article.
Haiti is heading for days of great misfortune. Haitians, for the most part, are increasingly convinced that the United Nations considers them as enemies to be eliminated. We are no longer in the conspiratorial scenarios in which Haitians were seen as prime targets by resentful Western leaders, thirsting for revenge for the 1803 defeat of the French generals at Saint-Domingue. For those readers who think it is inconceivable to claim that the United Nations intends to establish a regime of terror in Haiti, let them think again by looking at what has happened or is still happening in countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Iraq, Libya, Syria and, above all, in Egypt, where the arrival of the Muslim Brotherhood to power democratically led to a military coup and a very bloody repression (1).

The United Nations is trying to establish a regime of terror in Haiti. To prove it, ....

It doesn’t take long to realize that we aren’t having a debate about the science of vaccines. We aren’t debating the authority of the evidence. We are debating the authority of the person. The most ingenious thing the pharmaceutical industry ever did was purchase the majority of the advertising for every network and cable news program. With that grand gesture, the media became little more than a pharmaceutical industry spokesperson, functioning as its mouthpiece of propaganda. The media doesn’t report “science.”

  • Canadian Economist Dispels 4 Myths About Socialism by Steve Lalla from Internationalist 360°. My reaction: Although Canadian political economist Radhika Desai said in a recent interview: "While Desai acknowledged that there were problems that led to famines in Russia and China, she added that the severity and mismanagement of the crises were perhaps exaggerated.", she didn't mention the vigorous subversive and military attacks by the leading capitalist nations on any nation that even considers a move to public ownership of their economy or in any way demonstrates independent policies from the predations of capitalist corporations. Also, she omitted the constant anti-socialist propaganda that people in capitalist countries are subject to.
  • Interview with Vandana Shiva: Bill Gates and the philantro-imperialism. Posted by Pangea, an Italian channel of YouTube in a 26:37m video. (Note: Shiva explains how billionaires and the largest foundations, established by major corporations, have taken control of the world (or the nations of the Empire and much of the United Nations) through their purchase of patents (intellectual property), and the disastrous effects on ordinary people throughout the planet.)
  • “The Lion and the Eagle”: The Interaction of the British and American Empires (1783-1972): A review of Kathleen Burk's book by Jim Miles from Global Research. My reaction: I like to post real history articles because my fellow Americans have been largely fed fake histories in their schooling. Miles corrects some of the mistakes Burk makes to build a sound history of the collaboration of both the British and the American Empires to coalesce in the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire that threatens much of the world today.

(Sorry for the late posting for Tuesday--I have been preoccupied by personal matters--I thought I had already uploaded it.)
  • A History of Warring on the Homefront by Mickey Huff from Dissident Voice (originally from Project Censored). (Note: I am posting this article/video from Dissident Voice because the latter have conveniently included the film of which this review on the film is based. Also, this is essential reading/viewing for all those fellow Americans who missed the actual history of American working people and were brainwashed by their history classes in the USA.)
  • OPCW Whistle Blowers Debunk Cover-Up & U.S. Propaganda featuring Jimmy Dore interviewing Aaron Maté of The Grayzone what has learned about the disinformation and censorship involved in the ruling class's reporting  of "chemical attacks" in Syria directed by the Assad government from Dore's Rokfin channel (26:22m).
  • Thoughts On The Iraq Invasion by Caitlin Johnstone, an Australian independent blogger, from her weblog. My reaction: She knows far more than Alfred McCoy, a prominent American historian, does about the mindset of the current American ruling class. Now that the core of the ruling class, combining the resources and wealth of the USA, the British Empire, and international Zionist Jewry, is back under Joe Biden, they intend to resurrect their longstanding project to rule the world (commentary).
  • Dispatches from the Congo: The Truth Behind US Claims of ISIS Presence posted on Internationalist 360° featuring Kambale Musavuli from the Centre of Research on the Congo explaining, in a 21:09m video, how US-backed forces are engaging in massacres on behalf of corrupt political leaders while also covering this in media reports as "fighting terrorism" and protecting "human rights" of local populations. My reaction: Surprise, surprise! (a cynical remark).

  • Why Do They Keep Doing It? by Patrick Armstrong from Strategic Culture Foundation (based in Russia but they post international writers). My reaction: It's what the ruling class in the USA has been devoted to since the US entered WWII--building a capitalist empire (commentary). This goal was to maximize their wealth and to enhance their power. It has become an obsession without which life has no meaning for them.
This post is dripping with cynicism by Engdahl who has business expertise combined with knowledge of geopolitics, however is someone lacking in knowledge upon the impending climate crisis that scientists have studied and have warned us about. This criticism also applies to a number of experts such as Guy McPherson, who has expertise in physical sciences and has specialized in global warming, but who sometimes wanders into other areas like psychology, anthropology, philosophy, etc. People have an expertise in a certain area and must stick to that area, and not assume an all-knowing wisdom.

Christian Westbrook (Ice Age Farmer) is a farmer who has dabbled a bit in sunspots and concludes that the whole ecology movement is suspect, that there is no climate crisis, etc. Engdahl clearly is a climate-warming denier even though he lacks scientific knowledge that McPherson has and the many independent scientists who have been warning us that the destabilization of our climate is driving us to extinction.

Engdahl, Westbrook, and activists have been duped so many times by ruling class experts that it is understandable why they question everything and distrust everything that authorities tell them, but they even distrust what more independent experts say. These examples, and many others, are why I don't have faith that Western activists can achieve a recognition of who their real opponents are, and replace capitalism with a socialist system within the time remaining before humans become extinct.

However, this post is valuable in that Engdahl has information about how members of the US/Anglo/Zionist ruling class are conspiring to save capitalism, a system that has given capitalists so much wealth and power. Top members of the ruling class have clearly listened to the independent physical scientists and their research about the growing climate crisis. Thus, they have come up with a plan (too late) called the Great Reset in a desperate attempt to save themselves from this crisis. But it is far too late, and anyway capitalism and a sustainable climate are a contradiction that they refuse to recognize because of their obsession with wealth and power that the system supplies them with such abundance.
  • The TRUTH About War Crimes featuring Lee Camp, via his YouTube channel in an 11:20m post, using sarcastic humor to attack our mainstream news so conveniently furnished by media corporations to brainwash Americans. My reaction: He uses reports from alternative media, which few people watch, as a means to attack ubiquitous reports by media corporations like CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, NPR, PBS, and their local affiliates. However, most Americans watch and take seriously the latter reports as witnessed during this pandemic by complying with lockdown orders, wearing masks, social distancing, taking their vaccines, etc. without questions or doubts.

My reaction: I'm not sure about his argument about Americans having two disconnected mind-sets, but I can agree with his last paragraph:

This is what Lippman and Bernays (and their European masters) did to the American people – reprogrammed an entire nation in equally as brutal a fashion as did the US with the Philippines, and the UK with Hong Kong, in this case creating an entire society of deluded, hysterical, and profoundly sick killer-consumers with a totally fictional history. It is probably fair to say that these men had good and fertile material to work with, a composition of the worst features of Christianity, native ignorance, and insatiable greed, but still we need to give credit where credit is due. Americans have always been racist and violent, but it was Lippman and Bernays who turned them into serial killers celebrating their Afghan “bug splats” (1) in the national media. And it was in this fertile and evil soil that American Presidents, Secretaries of State and Defense Secretaries so lushly sprouted into the longest string of sociopathic genocidal killers in history. Democracy never had a chance.

Oh, I forgot that most Americans don't know their true history as influenced by Bernays and Lippman. Romanoff goes into detail about this history in parts 4 and 5--links to those articles I have provided above.
  • America's Secret Government features Chris Hodges, in a 27:09m of his YouTube channel, interviewing David Talbot, author of The Devil's Chessboard, about the growth of the "secret government" initially under the Dulles brothers (Alan and John Foster Dulles). My commentary follows:
This is a true history of the USA's establishment of a fascist-like cabal of ruling class figures who have attained overwhelming power and established the US/Anglo/Zionist Empire replacing the fascist empire of Nazi Germany. Talbot only gives us a smattering of details of the history of this Deep State (Talbot uses this term at about 21:54m) which has now rewritten history, infiltrated all media corporations, and spread their agents throughout all US institutions and abroad in Europe.

This very cleverly hidden Deep State has for many years total control over all institutions and government of the USA and most of their Empire of which contemporary activists have only a rudimentary understanding. I have grown up with this development since the end of WWII and became aware of this development following the assassination of the Kennedy brothers and the constant lies fed by our media corporations during the Vietnam War. I have posted many articles warning of this development, the most important and most recent of which is my commentary for this post.

To attain an understanding of this insidious growth of fascism in the USA and the brainwashing you received from every institution, most important of which are schools you attended, you need to read many of the books that I recommended on the right-hand side of this weblog.
