We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

Another NYT ‘Sort of’ Retraction on Ukraine

Click here to access article by Robert Parry from Consortium News.

Independent observers (see also articles at Washington's Blog, here and here) are beginning to report the obvious deceptions put out by the ruling class's media, however their voices are little heard in the US where most citizens still believe what they read and hear via mainstream media. It boggles my mind to witness so much gullibility.

In this piece Parry continues to expose the lies and omissions (Read also his article of a few days ago.) that proliferate in mainstream media such as the...
...on-the-ground reality of legitimate and understandable concerns among the eastern Ukrainians [that have] been missing from the U.S. propaganda barrage, which has overwhelmed the mainstream press as thoroughly as a similar P.R. campaign did during the run-up to the Iraq War, if not more so. Official Washington’s “group think” now is all about blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Ukraine crisis.
