in the time remaining, to help us understand how the man-made system of capitalism will lead to the extinction of our human species, and so many others.
We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

Is This One of the Men Pushing Obama Toward War With Russia?
Quijones' rhetorical question regarding Brzezinski suggests a very important fact about US governance. People who occupy official offices in the government are rarely ones who actually have much influence over government decisions. (One exception as president was G. H. W. Bush) However, Quijones still gives far too much agency to Obama who, like most presidents, has been more accurately described as a "sock puppet for the ruling elite".
I've often referred to the power structure of the US ruling class as a kind of onion because there are many layers of influence. From my perspective, Brzezinski is located at the second layer from the center. He is a product of the Rockefeller clan who adopted him in his youth to wage the Cold War with Russia. His hatred for the Russians is no doubt rooted in his family background as members of the Polish aristocracy who were often suppressed and harassed by the Russians. (Notice he refers briefly to historical Polish-Russian relations in the video at the end of the article.)
Incidentally, there are political factions within the ruling class' directorate. Kurt Nimmo reported on the two most prominent--neoliberals and neoconservatives in his article "Obama, Brzezinski, and the Neolib-Neocon Family Feud". For another insightful report on the major players in the US ruling class since WWII, I highly recommend this article entitled "Demonic David Rockefeller Fiends Dulles Kissinger Brzezinski".
I don't think that Brzezinski is really pushing war with Russia--I don't think he is that crazy despite his long obsessive hatred of Russia. I think he explains what he wants in a recent article directed to Americans posted in Politico: a well equipped and financed NATO-inclined Kiev government that will engage Russia in a costly local war.
The posted video in this article should be understood, which Brzezinski made clear, as an address directed to the Ukrainian people. As such, it is a pure piece of propaganda loaded with all kinds of deceptive language to inspire Ukrainians to fight Russians.
