We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

Posts that I especially recommend for Monday, February 14, 2022

Two unattended very serious problems are the continuing research in weaponizing viruses and making them contagious that is financed by Fauci at NIH and by the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the absence of medical research about how to help those whose health is damaged by the mRNA vaccines.

Under the Biological Weapons Convention, this research is banned.  Fauci gets around the law by claiming that the research is not for biowarfare purpose, but to anticipate viruses that might emerge in nature so that we will be prepared to combat them.  Francis Boyle who wrote the implementing legislation for the US says that gain of function research, which gave the Covid virus its contagious feature, is a violation of the law.

(Note: Roberts refers to Professor Dr. Francis A. Boyle, a bioweapons expert, who authored the bill prohibiting bioweapons.)
  • Are Ivermectin Studies Being Compromised? featuring Jimmy Dore, a comedian turned anti-propagandist, commenting on a study to determine the effectiveness of Ivermectin, and guest Kurt Metzger, a comedian mostly interjecting humorous satirical comments, from Dore's channel on YouTube (11:44).
  • Is He Serious? featuring Russell Brand, a British comedian, using his skills to criticize the Gate's Foundation regarding "independent" board members using his channel on YouTube (14:05).
"Left" and "right" on the political spectrum of any nation refers to the supporters of various socioeconomic classes under capitalism. "Right" refers  to supporters of the rich ruling classes, and "left" refers to the support of workers that the self-serving ruling class provides political parties for the workers which inevitably includes fake political parties. The ruling class is self-serving because they control every institution of society in order to benefit from their power in the form of control and to enjoy the comforts of life without having to work. Other members of classes are regarded as "deplorables" and thus are completely disposable to serve a minority of the ruling class and others who will be also be rewarded by serving them. Owning the means of production gives overwhelming power to them in comparison to the workers who benefit from scarcely any power by lack of ownership. The point is that under capitalism, the "owning" ruling class determines the political spectrum and enormously benefit from this form of control. Any action which threatens their loss of control will be sufficient reason to pursue war. That is why the world has been plagued by wars since the beginning of the 20th century. But in the nuclear age, wars have become so costly to capitalist ruling classes that they avoid wars with other nations which possess nuclear weapons. Thus, local wars involving nations which do not possess such weapons will frequently continue (in addition to Israel which officially denies it).

Under capitalism, the ruling classes must support an enormous drive to establish indoctrination and propaganda services to counter the fact that capitalism is inherently antagonistic to democracy. Under this compulsion, they will shape propaganda from one to the other political party, but both or all, political parties that are allowed under capitalism pretend to support "democracy" and likewise to support their various capitalist interests. This practice creates many pro-capitalist ideology specialists not only to sell products produced by their factories, but to indoctrinate the general population with pro-capitalist ideology. The latter tendency is growing.

Under real socialism, the people will be in control of the economy--not the fake kind of socialism that Bernie Sanders advocates--and such powerful classes will disappear. They will disappear because working people will be in control of every institution having eliminated the rich investors, who, under capitalism, live off the "ownership", and thus control, of economic property.

Likewise, with worker control of every institution, the people will govern every institution for what's best for all working people. Working people consist of all healthy workers and not the elderly or those that cannot work because of disabilities. People with disabilities will be encouraged to work and contribute their talents to society to the extent possible. Under socialism, the present capitalist class will be required to work to enjoy any comforts, and will necessarily disappear as an "owning" ruling class. Under the present capitalist system, this explains the abundance of smearing propaganda associated with Russia and China which are determined to end the Empire's domination of the world.
  • The 'Frozen Ground Theory' And Other Ukraine War Nonsense by Bernhard, a German independent blogger, from his weblog Moon of Alabama. (Note: It is important to recognize the centigrade temperatures in his graph. Germany, like the rest of the world, uses centigrade temperatures rather than Fahrenheit temperatures like we do in the USA.)
  • Since Washington Wants War So Badly Why Doesn’t Washington Simply Attack Russia? by Paul Craig Roberts from his weblog. My reaction: This could be (I hope) all a bluff to spread fear among Europeans about a Russian invasion of Ukraine. The directors of the de-facto US/British/Zionist Empire are concerned about the Russia-Europe economic connections (particularly Nord Stream 2) which spell the end of the Empire's hopes for world domination (see this, supported by this). The capitalist directors of the Empire may be thinking that this represents a point of no return (def. #1) for capitalism and their control of the world. This attitude together with their delusional thinking that their Empire possesses superior weapons, the directors may opt for what they consider to be a short war which will inevitably progress to a major nuclear war. Such a war will be the end of the human species and most other species.
.... I think we are nearing false flag, because the United States literally cornered itself and has no good scenarios of extricating itself from this mess without losing whatever is left of the US "face". ....

I am on record: strategic ambivalence of Russia is terrifying for the US now because the US doesn't know what will follow after the false flag, granted this false flag succeeds to dupe European poodles into utter submission. But here we enter the speculation territory and a field of secret diplomacy which is called secret for a reason. Is there one between US and Russia now? I don't know, I see nobody in the US currently who you can talk to.

  • [a mis-named title] features Chris Hedges who relies on Prof. Richard Wolff to explain how the US sanction's strategy will result in an abandonment by Russia and China of the SWIFT international financial system. This abandonment and subsequent creation of another system will cause all kinds of problems for all Americans, but most of all, the ruling capitalist class. From RT America's channel on YouTube (27:35).
  • ‘I will never allow the establishment of a Palestinian state’: Israeli PM from Middle East Observer. My reaction: This recognizes why Israel was established by the main capitalist powers of Britain and the USA, which have merged to form an empire after WWII: to ensure the latter's control of the Middle East. The establishment of Israel attracted many extreme right-wing, or fascist-capitalist Jews ("Zionists"), from all over the world.
  • The Fear Not to Be by Edward Curtin from his weblog Behind the Curtain. (Note: This post is for religious folks, particularly those raised in Catholicism as Curtin was.) My reaction: I don't consider the human species as innately exceptional beyond other species as Curtin's conclusion suggests:
The courage to be was Tillich’s way of saying that we are upheld by far more than we know. Call it Being, Tao, the Great Spirit, or God. Courage is contagious and will carry us on. It is what we need to resist the fear-mongers who are at our throats.
  • Science Snippets: Mass Extinction Event is Well Under Way featuring the views and analysis of Prof. (retired) Guy McPherson, an independent scientist (via his Nature Bats Last YouTube channel--(06:50), who has fearlessly focused his attention throughout much of his career on the climate crisis.
